So, after some debating with myself, I decided to combine the TV Forum with the Movie Forum. I thought the TV Forum just wasn't getting enough attention to justify it's existence as it's own forum....plus, if you think about it, they're kinda the same topic anyway...Now that I think about it, I'm just going to move the Music Forum also, and just call the whole thing the Entertainment Forum.

However, this does leave two open forums that have nothing in them. I think I'll just leave this as the Miscellaneous forum for just random things such as rants, photos, updates, or pretty much anything that anyone feels like posting....kinda like a chatterbox for the EGW. If anything, I may just update now and then with rants on random stuff...and trust me, I have a plenty.

So, I guess now that I've figured that out, does anyone have any ideas for the other forum? I had a couple ideas, but I'd like to hear what other members of the guild have to say first. So just shout something out, and we'll see what everyone thinks.

Also, I think just a "contests forum" would be kinda dull...it'd be nice for organization purposes, but I don't think many people explore off the main forum (if they even get that far).

Since it's been a couple days, I'll shoot my ideas out:

-RP Forum- I figure it would be mostly (or entirely) RP. Only problems with these are there really aren't very many people getting involved (I think maybe 8 tops) and I've never done RPing so I'm not sure about running an RP forum. Granted, I've never ran a guild before, but it's a much easier position to ease into.

-Crew only Forum- Part of me thinks this may encourage people to get more involved in the guild, but I think it might come off as elitist, and there isn't really any conversation that I wouldn't want anyone in the guild to join in on.

-Life Issues- I'm not going to lie, I've stolen most of my ideas for the forums from Gaia's lay out...also, the LI was the first real forum that I posted in heavily (then I switched to the PW). While I have no problem helping people out with their problems, I'm not sure if anyone would feel comfortable bringing their problems here just because this is more close knit group, and some people prefer to ask people who are more anonymous (I don't think anyone would seriously pick this idea...I'm just throwing stuff out).

-PW Forum- I know we have that main forum for wrestling, but I was thinking maybe we could try to go "mainstream" by opening up the guild to everyone, not just wrestling fans. I mean, gaming and movies are getting some pretty good flow going in, and it would be nice to have a broader variety of people involved in the guild. Problems would be a) crowd control (trying to keep to the basis the guild was founded on: a place where could freely express themselves without being harassed for their opinion). b) the EGW name would kinda be irrelevant at that point. If we did open it up, should we think about charging a small fee, or keep it as a free guild?

Those are my ideas so far...I thought I had more, but I can't think of any at the moment (I should really write s**t down). If more than one of those sounds good, we can do more than one, as we're not strapped for cash at all. If I had to pick one though, my vote would go for opening up the guild...but that's mainly cause I'm a megalomaniac, and I want to take over Gaia.

Hmmm...I get what you're saying, and I agree, but if we want to be THE guild for wrestling, we need to start working on some better PR (getting our name out there and such...giving people a real reason to join besides just "being in a guild"). Izzy did an awesome job of this (hence why he's a crew member) by giving us "exclusives" in terms of wrestling news. We need to think of stuff like that to get people to join, or at least, pay more attention to us, cause right now, we're kind of a blip.

So now that my dominant take over of Gaia has been postponed, anyone got any better ideas?

Perhaps instead of centering on zombies, have it as an occult thread for all those strange and unusual things that makes for such wonderful movies and legends. Aliens, zombies, vampires, werewolves, etc are always of interest.

Considering the main point of the guild is wrestling, I think we should leave the main forum to wrestling, while opening up sub-forums to a wider genre of topics.

Roleplay forum?

It'd be kind of cool. We could do WWE roleplaying (not necessarily with actual superstars, but I'm certain we could generate a roster of some kind), or just general roleplaying (but with at least one wrestling RP thread).
