hey guys - turn on your language filters if you dont care to be subjected to the wicked cursing and vile language that is appearing in many of the threads in our guild. "...Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:"
filthy conversation vexes a born again Christian. vex (věks)
tr.v. vexed , vex·ing , vex·es To annoy, as with petty importunities; bother. See Synonyms at annoy.
To cause perplexity in; puzzle.
To bring distress or suffering to; plague or afflict.
To debate or discuss (a question, for example) at length.
To toss about or shake up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the promotion of sinful living, wickedness and filthy language, ect. should annoy you if you're saved. it can bring distress to your spirit to be subjected to cursings and swearings and wicked, sinful lifestyles.
as believers we have a spiritial Holy heavenly Father. non-believers also have a spiritual father.
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
as believers, we have the Holy Spirit, non-believers have an UNholy spirit.
I know many of you, myself included, live in homes with unbelievers and are subjected to the acceptance of, excusing of, making a mockery of, and the promotion of sin and loved ones who reject Jesus and reject the bible while they embrace wickedness. that is why God wants believers to assemble together. it builds up our spirit, we encourage one another in the Lord. I am also aware that many of us are unable to assemble together w/ other believers and we reach out to likeminded believers on the internet. in a sense, this guild is a kind of substitute place for our church fellowship.
anyhow - i am with you all, you who believe on the precious Lord Jesus Christ. I know we can lose our focus or direction and this scripture always brings me back to centering my thoughts on Christ.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

agreed
maybe you can help by convincing Felina to make this guild private..... I have already tried and I'm not going to push her to do so.
if this guild is made private.... then yes people will still be able to join..... but we would have authority.....
if this guild is made private I can create a rule for the whole guild to abide by *follow the ToS, don't troll.... etc* if you break the rule then you get a nudge..... if you do it continually and deliberately then you get a warning, 4 warnings means well yeah a boot out of the guild

Okay... thanks for the message I'm ashamed to admit that I sometimes swear and use the language outside of gaia. Trying to cut it off though by changing my expressions to 'fudge', 'shitaki mushrooms' and stuff... hopefully the language will be out of my system soon...

If the same emotion is present, "fudge" means the same as "f**k". Why bother with the censorship? Words aren't offensive; the emotion attached to said words is.

Christians are supposed to be angry towards sin and wickedness. cursing is associated w/ unbelievers. what did Peter do when he tried to look like he wasnt a follower of Christ? Matthew 26:72And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. Matthew 26:72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. Matthew 26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee. Matthew 26:74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the c**k crew. be·wray [bih-rey] Show IPA –verb (used with object) Archaic . 1. to reveal or expose. 2. to betray. Apparently Peter had a form of speaking that revealed who he was associated with. in order for Peter to make himself appear like he wasn't associated with Christ Jesus he had to change his way of speaking by using curse words and swear words. what a coincidence that the Christ rejector in our guild constantly uses curses and swears in their posts...

I try not to swear, but that's just because it sounds aggressive, and probably has nothing to do with my faith.
I don't think it's reasonable to judge someone by how much they swear. It's like, if you're a Christian and you swear, does that make you a non-Christian?
I know we should try not to, 'cause it's not Christ-like, but it's nothing to make a huge fuss over.
