I decided to take all those Announcements and turn them into 1 post 3nodding

What Is Exchanging?

Main Entry: exchange
Function: verb
Inflected Form(s): exchanger; exchanging
transitive senses
1 a : to part with, give, or transfer in consideration of something received as an equivalent b : to have replaced by other.

Exchanging in laymans terms is basicaly buying for low selling for higher.

Though this sounds like a easy task. It is challenging. You need to know how to talk the talk, and walk the walk.

Both these skills are needed to exchange.

You need to know how to be polite, Curtious, but still able to stand your ground.

How To Haggle

Haggling is all about getting a good deal, without going overbored.

e.g. P1."Can I buy your kiki for 25k?" P2."make it 26k" P1. "Send Trade"

Though most cases arn't that easy. whee

To haggle you need to be a good talker.

You need to be smooth, and not rush out and be like "29k!11!! SEND TRADE NOW!!11!!11!"

That is wrong.

Always start low end low.

The Best way to learn to Haggle is practise. The more you practise the better you will get.

Lets begin with

Lesson 1. How to start a haggle

To start a haggle you must first know the price of the item your dealing with.
In this example I am going to use a Sno Yeti.

Lets say someone is selling the yeti for 5k but you dont want to pay that much because you wont make any profit when you sell it.

You would politely suggest a different price. e.g. 4k for yeti please.

After this you will most likely get a reply with an answer back.
e.g. How about 4.8k

At this point you already got them to go down 200g.

Good, now ask for a little less. NEVER ASK FOR A LOT LESS. It is rude, and pointless.

e.g. How about 4.4k

You lowered it by 400g now again wait for a reply.

A good idea is to open a new window for other topics while waiting for replies.
so you can talk to 2 or 3 people at once. And it takes up time, and your buying stuff in the process.
e.g. I have 3 windows open right now. 1 in a thread for a ninja headband, another in a thread for a sno yeti, and another in the marketplace.

Back to the sno yeti. They will usually reply back.
e.g. How about 4.6k?

Then you would reply back with something within the lines of
"Can we meet at 4.5k? If so send trade"

"Trade Sent!"

And again, ALWAYS BE POLITE. I cannot stess this enough.
People dont want to sell or buy from assholes.

There you have lesson 1 of haggling.

How Do you Exchange?

To Exchange you must first learn how to Haggle

If you dont know how to Haggle Than Click Haggle.

After you have learned that follow this guide.

To Exchange you need to know the value items, how much in damand that item is.

You will also need a VENDING LICENCE Along with a TRADING LICENCE

You can aquire both at the bank. There 1500g for both. Or 500g for the trading pass and 1k for the vending licence.

Buy Trading Pass and Vending Licence Here

Begin by checking in the exchange for posts with items in the title that are valuable. e.g. Selling kiki

Also! Don't forget to check ones that say SELLING. They may have good items!

Also check the posts with 5 or less replies. This means not a lot of people will try to bid against you.

When bidding ALWAYS BE POLITE. I always say Please.
e.g. 16k Please. Just send trade.

Using your newly acquired haggling skills you have succesfully purchased a item.

Once you have your item it is time to sell it!

Go to the Marketplace
Type in the name of your item, and select lowest buy price in the options.

Hit 'enter' or 'return'

When the search has ended look at the top result. This is the lowest on the market. You must sell it for less if you wish to sell it!

I usually sell my stuff from 300g-2k lower than the competition.

Once it is up people will make theres lower than yours. but not to worry that just means theres will sell first. As long as your prices are fair, your good!

I always try to make a 1k profit on everything I sell. You first timers should shoot for 200g+.

How And When To Sell In The Market Place

This guide is going to teach you how to sell in the market place and when to sell in the market place.

First off, NEVER get attached to your items.
Put on something simple and keep it that way. This is my only outfit apart from my flame outfit.
I sell everything I buy, and buy everything I can as low as I can.

For this lesson I am going to use Sealed Letters.

For information on sealed letters go HERE.

Once I buy my items I always sell them. Right away.

Normally I usually spend all my gold, or most. And sell all the things I bought for more.

Now lets say I bought 1 sealed for 5k. I can either sell it now for 6k, or wait until the end of the month and sell it for 7k.

I recomend selling it now.

When selling you want to put a price that is pleasing to the eye. But still high.
Lets say you want to sell a sealed letter for 6k I would put it for 5999g.

People in there minds, they see the 5 and there brain tells them, "Hey! 5 is smaller than 6 so we should buy it" or atleast that is what I have learned from my experiences. 3nodding

Another option is to sell it with a 898 at the end e.g. 103,898

That 898 is also a pleasing number to the brain.

You always want to sell with a number pleasing to the brain!

Vending!

Yay for vending!

This is my MAIN source of profit, and feel like some people should know!

First off, start by copying your password.
To do this, type your password some where, highlight it with your mouse, then press ctrl+c.

If you press ctrl+v is pastes it 3nodding

Now, head off to the market.

Click go about every second or so, and only look at the first 3 or so items, because most of the time anything under that is already seen, and/or boughten.

When you do see a good deal, click the "Buy Now" as fast as you can, and paste your password in the little box.

You must practise this! I learned to do on bugs for 1g. Just select "lowest Buy Price" And hit go.

Once you get the movement, and flow down your ready.

Just copy and paste, and remember to be FAST!

Speed is the key.
