I bought The Gamer from Walmart and just finished watching it.

Very contemporary and odd film.

That is about all I have to say.

I saw the film, and it's alright....It's interesting, but I think Surrogates pulled pretty much the same movie off better (Gerard vs. Bruce? You go Bruce everytime...Yippy Kay Yay mother ********!)

I almost bought that movie instead. The only reason I choose Gamer was because it was 13 dollars and Surrogates was 20 dollars

Yeah...there was a reason for that....

Anyway, sticking to this movie, it wasn't awful. In fact, considering the age of technology we live in, it was kind of funny. The action was pretty decent and the set up was nice...but they eventually make the game thing irrelevant, and the movie just kinda stalls for me right there. It loses it's appeal. They should have had more interaction with Butler and the kid controlling him.

See I am actually kinda glad they made the game thing irrelevant, otherwise it would just be Death Race without the cars.

It wasn't a terrible movie, but it wasn't something I would praise.

I disagree simply because the game was the selling point of the movie. And while they did have some pretty cool scenes with that, I don't think there were enough and there definitely wasn't a whole lot of interaction with the kid. In fact, his entire existence is pretty unjustified in this movie.

That is true. I thought he was going to be significant.
