 ☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸I have noticed that like 70% of the people in this guild dont post much in any roleplay...but if a contest came up the people that didnt post would do so. Just how I feel. Also I dont really see how I have a purpose in the main roleplay. As in the things my character does has no effect or no importance in anyway in what happens, not even alittle. Not to talk about my feeling in anyway but just sayin how things are going around here makes me think this.

Umm... yeah, you're right. Our members suck, there's no doubt about it. Most of them aren't the type of members we need or want, since they seem to lack the ability to write creatively (role-play), or be active in any constructive way (like, in the Haven, or in Revres, or like... anywhere else but the Parlor). That's one reason why GRAVITE was created, and one of the problems we hope to solve soon.
Now, as for your problem in Revres; that's subject's a little more personal. I hope you can take criticism well. The first foremost thing that comes to mind is that your current role-playing skill isn't up to the same level as most of the others who are in the role-play, and that can cause confusion in the other members as to what your character could be doing or what he has done in the role-play, which could have led to them excluding you from their posts. Another thing is that you're using a pre-existing character from a different universe, which probably puts people off in the role-play since they've all created their own characters for our universe, and in turn could make them want to leave your character out of it. Another thing, at no fault of your own obviously, is that this current part of Revres doesn't seem to have an actual storyline; it's just a bunch of fighting. That, combined with the fact that the higher up's seem to think it's okay for them to God-Mod through whatever they want, doesn't really leave much for the others to do.
The League's flawed. We're working on it. If you want some help with improving your skill, I'd could offer you some pointers.

 ☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸@Darius-On the roleplay thing im not really doing bad. Like you said sense I was not here around when the guild was first made that could take part in what the higher ups do. As for the storyline..which I noticed is just a bunch of fighting. Like you said before. I know they are working on things with guild soo we can see where that takes us. Also going back to the rp ways people go about that. Nobody is perfect when it comes to things. I myself have seen many moments where evern the higher ups have made mistakes. That just shows that everyone is human. Last God-mod thing you said...I noticed a points that does happen...I tryed before to work with it or around it but....yeah..that how it be.
On the other note our members sort of suck...the ones that I talked about before I mean.

In all honesty, the biggest problem I have with Ratchet is that his character in Revres isn't from the League. Really, dude, that throws off EVERYTHING. Apart from that, I love having him around. He's a good guy, with a fair sense of humor. Literacy leaves some to be desired, not much, in my personal opinion. Overall, I like having him around.
I felt it would be worthwhile, to say that.

Heh, well, you guys were looking for Villains, weren't you?
On that, note, what say you to allowing us to start making bad guys? I've been itching too, and I really think it would add to Revres a lot.
@Ratchet: Sadly, I have to agree with Darius on this one. Most of the time, I have no idea what your character is talking about. I haven't RPed with you yet, but I've read some of the stuff you have done, and I'm honestly surprised that people are getting it sometimes. :/

☸☸Ratchet Lombax☸☸Well that makes sense. I can change up things I do by what is needed to make more sense. It would have helped to if someone said something before >.<
But like I said I can try to change things to make more sense...but to help each other be better...it makes sense that we should all try to tell someone that you dont understand something.
@Karma I see why you along with Wielder dont understand things. At first it seemed like there was a storyline in what you were all doin...with the boss chapters and all. I wanted to make a side story which now leads into the main things going on(which waiting for everyone to finish things in the fade) happens at GML first...I didnt want to be much of a spoiler of what is to come but in end my character would do more with GML.
In a somewhat related note..@Wielder thanks for giving you opinion.
((In a unrelated note: Drawing and video design my strong suit. Story writing and roleplay and such.....ehh....still learning from how Karma,Gear, and Wielder go about. You all being more use to this soo yeah lol and spelling.......yay spell check biggrin ))

lol I HAVE to get this out: You are so friendly. XD I love it.
Anyway, if you need any pointers, feel free to PM me. I love teaching and talking, and the guild doesn't have their Academy anymore, so there's really nowhere else to go to learn. But really, anyone here would be more than willing to show you the ropes, I'm sure.
As far as Revres goes, the plot there is kind of lame at this point. And really confusing. I was kind of trying to make my own side-story as well, but it just really doesn't work out with a lot of the stuff that happens around there. In a way, that kind of ruined the RP for me, which is why I disappeared for so long. :/
Also...What's your first language, Ratchet?

Well, I don't want to turn this into a "Let's criticize Ratchet" topic, even though I didn't start this. So take this also as criticism...if all that made sense.
My biggest problem with your character is, like stated above, that it comes from an already existing universe. You'll be hard pressed to find people using already-existing character to be successful in a RP, unless the RP itself takes place in the alternate character's universe. Example: Someone roleplaying as a Pokemon trainer wouldn't fit in in a Twilight RP. However, he'd be happy in a RP that at least revolved around Pokemon or obviously borrowed elements from it. So personally...I don't know how to interpret your character. Is it an alternate Ratchet that you've modified for the RP? Is it the Ratchet from the games? If it is, from what game exactly? Tools of Destruction? Size matters? Going Commando? Now, don't answer the questions. I'm merely pointing out the problem.
Second, when you RP, it seems to me you have your own thing going on. You suddenly start talking to a Fiona, if I recall correctly (Another R&C character that adds to the confusion). Then you go on what appears to be side-missions and don't relate much to the actual RP. Side-plots are fine as long as your goal is to interact with others or at least try to incorporate people into your plot. Perhaps you never got the chance to get there, but remember that people lose interest when you make them wait for too long.
Third...not to be a jerk, but your RP skills could still be improved. I've always thought that a good RPer could just do something as dumb as move two inches to the left and still be able to give the reader everything needed in order to make them believe they're there. At the same time, you wanna give people something to interact with. If your posts simply explains that you walked for an hour and then went back home and slept, then people will never interact with you because you're not giving him a...let's say, an "excuse" to interact with you. So take this as a random hint.
But back to the topic. Revres is a bit of a mess right now. People have lost interest and there is no definite plot going on, other than a huge war is taking place and the League's caught in the middle of it somehow. I admit I find it hard to interact with others without breaking character. I also tried to develop my own storyline but that didn't work out well with all the confusion going on in the RP. And I'm sure a lot of people felt the same. I don't blame you for feeling a bit frustrated.
And by the way, yes. A villain(s) would have added more variety to the plot.
And finally! I doubt speaking another language has something to do with...well, anything. Personally, I guess you could say I barely learned to speak proper and understandable English about 5 or 7 years ago, though I had been taking classes since I was a kid. My main language is Spanish and the only problem I've ever encountered is lacking the appropriate words to express what I want to say.
...Then again, we should let Ratchet answer this.

Anyway back to the point. Like everyone is saying the plot in the main roleplay started to have just random things going on. Like I noticed everyone else also making their own side story but it does not work out to much.
@K-In a way this is a "lets criticize Ratchet" kind of topic. Sense overall it is to help me out. Like you said I can get what your saying about my character coming from a different universe. But I made changes to the character that make things alot different. Like I said before I was going to change things up....like with my character going back to an island base. That is my way to come out the roleplay while I start to change how I do things. But getting back to my character. Even in the fact that it comes from a different universe, there is still alot of things that were left out. The only things that is same is being a lombax(there alot of creatures and such in the roleplay soo yeah) and 2 of the weapons(omni-wrench and dual vipers) are the same. Other then that everything is alittle more modern...based on the roleplay that is.
Last, like I said, roleplay is something I started to get into this year and story writing...not something done day to day. More detail added can help so yeah. But everyone has messed up but needed to learn something, no?
Extra: 1st Language is English 2nd....sort of spanish(not the best but learning)
@K-I sort of understand how you feel. I learned some spanish then had to work in a puerto rican stand .__.
But it takes time to learn things soo if other people try to help you out with English, that would make your speaking alot better.

Alrighty then. If English is your first Language, then that means one of the reasons you're so hard to understand is error on your part. Try re-reading what you write before you post, even just in conversation, and fix grammatical errors. Spell-check won't do that for you.

I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said here. Although to justify why I haven't been RPing lately, I just haven't felt creative anymore, I dunno whether it's the stress I've been going through, or what, but I've been going through too much crap to even type correctly, much less think up a story.
