Most days, Quinn Moretti was nowhere to be seen around Applereach campus. The school was well known for housing delinquent students, so it was unsurprising to see the blond was absent more often than not. Really, the only reason the teen had bothered to show up for this particular day was because her parents had harped on about her lack of attendance. Of course, what much else could they do about it? They were far too busy with work and often left Quinn to her own devices. She just may as well start living by herself and cut ties with her parents. Screw school.

Rather irked at her predicament, a pissed Quinn strolled through school grounds during lunch time. Carting around her bag ala Japanese school boy, she nibbled on a piece of sweet bread with her free hand. Somehow, the idea of being able to fill up her stomach calmed her down just a bit.

However, she caught a glimpse of blue streaks before she bumped into someone, nearly losing her meal in the process. “Watch where you’re going, weirdo,” she snapped.

Annoyed Quinn was annoyed.

"HEY!" barked Wil after some foolish girl had walked into her as though she weren't there. "Watch where you're going!" she snapped. Now, the only reason Wil was at a school she didn't attend was there had been a few teachers that thought it would be good to get the deadbeats into sports. She and some of the best sports stars were doing a show, she herself covering the boxing display. It wasn't that she wanted to show off, or she wanted to ditch school....but she'd been asked by teachers. Frankly, she'd much rather stay around the school to keep idiots in line....but at the very least she would get a break from Shin-lu....last time she sat down in her chair she found herself in Shin-lu's lap...how the woman did these things Wil had yet to figure out...but it was enough to leave her just grumpy enough to sock someone that snapped at her.

Her nose scrunched as she looked the girl over. "Terrible meal," she began, "You should be eating something more healthy," she said, giving her own rather impressive lunch box a little wiggle. Frankly...it was massive. But then, she was an active young woman, she needed her food. Truth be told her parents were rather busy so Wil would just throw together whatever she could find, leftovers, whatever she was in the mood for...she wasn't too much for cooking herself.

(She's so stuck up.....*shakes head* u/////u;;; )

Looking far from pleased, Quinn scowled and cocked an eyebrow at her. “I’m sorry, it seem you didn’t hear me. Watch where you’re going,” she calmly retorted, finishing off the last of her bread.

She glared at the blond, noticing the striking stripes of blue that decorated her long hair. “Nice ‘do you got there. Failed attempt at trying to be a smurf?” she inquired with an innocent tilt of her head, smiling. Annoyance flashed in her icy eyes, but Quinn held up her smile as she idly swung her backpack over her shoulders. “Sorry that I’m not much of a health-conscious pig as you are,” she apologized with what appeared to be a sincere look, but the tone was clearly sarcastic and teasing.

It was true that her temper was rising rapidly, but now Quinn couldn’t complain that her subtle entrance back into school was boring, right? The last thing that the blond tomboy wanted was a dull life. Life was for thrills and arguments, after all.

The hit to her hair made Wil see red. Her face contorted into a look or shame and rage. She had to dye her hair every morning just so she didn't look like some wannabe punk. Because of that stupid magical girl s**t her hair kept taking on these stupid blue streaks, she could dye them, but it only lasted one day and when she wake up....they'd be back. Most days she went to school smelling like chemicals because of it. Pff, as it the stupid tattoo on her neck wasn't shame enough!

Wil grabbed the girl by the front of her shirt in a vice-like grip. "Hn, think you're hot s**t?" she sneered. "Come with me. It's almost time for my presentation for your freshmen, why don't you come help me?" she asked in a tone that wasn't so much a question.

Now, don't get her wrong. Wil couldn't care less about showing some little brats how to properly fight, throw a punch, take a hit, and s**t....but it was something to better her own school's reputation. Oddly enough she was all for showing school support, even on things like sports or track and field days. There were even times she'd join the sports if the teams were missing members? Why? Because she was simply amazing like that. She could do anything she put her mind to. So why boxing? Well...apparently people thought she needed to relieve stress by punching the stupid out of something and there had been some teachers that refused to let her remain in the council unless she was in boxing.

The raging fire that burned in the other girl’s eyes made Quinn’s twinkle with amusement. Yes, this was the exact kind of excitement and thrill she was hoping for today! Her eyes crinkled and she broadly grinned, flashing her white teeth at her. “You look really nice when you’re angry, did you know that?” she remarked mischievously. The tempestuous storm that had been stirring in Quinn quelled to a quiet sprinkle. Why be furious when she had found someone so entertaining to toy with?

Posture completely relaxed and at ease, she carelessly shrugged. “I never said that, now did I?” clarified Quinn, chuckling. “Oh sure, how can I stand by and do nothing if you need my help?” she agreed.

Staring at Wil, she cocked her head and further added, “Aren’t you that girl in council? Likes to box or something?” She smirked. “This is going to be interesting, I can tell.” Her voice filled with immense glee, she motioned for the other girl to lead the way.

It was getting more and more fun by the second.

Wil's face flared up bright red and her voice began taking on a horribly high shrill pitch, seeming frantic. "What in the hell are you talking about!" she close to shrieked. Why did she attract the insane women that for some reason found her rather appealing. Now why she drew in these crazies? She had no clue....she really needed to learn how to properly push them away, however that shrill tone probably didn't help her any....it really never did...

She snorted and turned away. "HMPH! I don't need help!" she hissed. "However if you have nothing to do I might as well have you stand in for a punching bag." Of course the only reason she'd brought it up was that looking at the girl's arms it was easy to tell that she was strong enough to be in boxing herself...if she didn't box Wil would like to push her into it. Why? Because.....well...just because! That's all! She wanted boxing to be a bigger competitive sport so maybe she wouldn't feel so bad for not being into competitions or anything.

Once again she huffed and flipped her hair casually, seeming to forget about the stupid tattoo on her neck, she began to walk away with her head held high. "Didn't know my reputation was so well known." Actually, it was more likely she was known for being a cold cutie.....but whatever.

Her flushing face was just as hilarious to see. Beaming widely, Quinn’s eyes narrowed as she innocently pointed at the other blond. “What’s wrong with you? Did I say something wrong?” Her gaze gleamed as she chuckled, knowing full well what she had said “wrong”. It was clear to see the outrage buried in the other girl’s face. Oh, was she supposed to try and calm her down and make her feel better, or something? Funny, very funny.

“Really now?” cooed Quinn, taking a waltzing step towards her. “Funny. I wonder why you asked for my help, then.”

The straps of her backpack sliding off her shoulder she lazily began swinging it back and forth, throwing her head back to seemingly admire the sky’s clear blue color. “Yeah, sure. Why not? I don’t really do stuff at this school anyways, so I may as well as help you with your thing. Whatever it is,” she drawled.

Perhaps Quinn could take up boxing if she wanted to, but she didn’t. Wearing gloves? Confined by rules? Fighting under the glare of a spotlight? Pft. Maybe a couple bouts would be alright, but never would she plan to keep doing it permanently. She liked the darkness and freedom of her street fights.

"NOTHING!" she shrieked in her rather shrill tone. ARGH! Why did she have to attract insane women that liked to tease others like that?! Why couldn't NORMAL people want to be near? OH NO though! No! She just HAD to scare them all off! PFFF! Bastards!

"I asked your help because you're a delinquent with no better use of your time!" she snapped. She snorted and turned, motioning for Quinn to follow her. "You will help me with my boxing demonstration. If you feel overly confident though you can try to fight me however you want. It'll be that much more impressive when I beat you if you feel more in your..." she paused, seeming to dislike using the word but finally bit out "element." She was still at a loss about her own....element. Pah! She just HAD to get the useless one!

Hmph, and unlike this girl, Wil at least dedicated herself to something. Sure boxing wasn't perhaps the girliest most dainty past time, but it was something that kept her active, fit, and healthy. At least she wasn't doing something like beating people up off the street like SOME people...

Her shriek brought another amused chuckle from Quinn. Insane? Quinn would never call herself crazy (but crazy people probably don’t call themselves crazy either, huh?), but it would certainly be interesting to be told that she was insane. Of course, the person would be punched in the face afterwards, but still. Interesting.

As she stuffed a hand into her pockets and idly swung her bag, the blond perked an eyebrow at her. “A delinquent, huh? Is that all you think I am?” mused Quinn. “Well, since I’m unfamiliar with the rules and techniques of boxing, I must reluctantly admit that I probably wouldn’t fare very well against you in a bout,” she analyzed, “so I’ll have to decline that offer.”

What was so wrong about living in the present, doing whatever one pleased? Quinn considered it to be a perfectly fine way to live life. Heck, she even had the means to putter along through the rest of high school and college. What was there to worry about? Living life as she wanted was fine, was it not?

Wil looked her over again. "Your hair looks like you haven't taken a comb to it in a week, you're dressed like a slob, you go to THIS school, your arrogant attitude...and don't think I didn't notice your tongue ring!" she said, huffing a little. She was very good at determining who was a delinquent. And this girl...she just screamed dead beat.

She stepped closer to her, scrutinizing her very closely. Admittedly she'd seen far worse delinquents. Wouldn't hurt to tone down the student counsel in her. The girl did have a good build for a boxer. She looked like she could be interesting to spar against if she would take it seriously. Wilhelmina had no interest in people that wouldn't take a sport seriously....but she did find interest in potential. Ahh, she couldn't help herself. She'd started boxing as a way to pass the time but found herself increasingly fond of it and whenever she saw someone strong she always wanted a match with them...she just couldn't help herself!

Wilhelmina quickly pushed it aside. "Then I want to see you in the demonstration after lunch. If nothing else it'll be a good excuse to get out of class, right?" With that she calmly turned to walk away, pausing a moment. Bah.....what was she expecting? Sometimes she was such an idiot, it was unlikely she'd even show up.

She coolly cocked her head to the side, flashing a toothy grin. “Well, hun, I always preferred my hair like this, you go to this school too, calling me arrogant is a wonderful compliment (so thank you), and I would’ve been offended if you hadn’t noticed my piercing,” Quinn responded with ease, sticking out her tongue to proudly show her ring as the silver metal gleamed in the sunlight.

Noticing Wil’s scrutinizing gaze, Quinn kept a straight face as she perked an eyebrow at her. A silent question that was, “What the hell you looking at, girly?”

Eyes beaming with delight, she chuckled. “Well, sometimes the classes are interesting and I pop in from time to time, but it’s just so much more entertaining to skip class,” she agreed. “It’s at the gym, right?” Quinn double checked before finally strolling away amiably, humming a cheery tune to herself.

Perhaps it would come as a surprise to find the messy-haired blond waiting at said-location after lunch. She strayed out of the sun and stood under the looming shadows that the building casted. Looking incredibly bored and her bag plopped by her side, she leaned against the wall with her arms crossed.

Wil snorted. "Oh no, no. I don't GO to this school. I go to a good school and with my club occasionally do exhibitions at other schools because the teachers hope that if their deadbeat students take up a school club they'll have less time to simply," she paused, once again scrutinizing her, "d**k around."

When it was time for the little...show Wil was in her workout gear. She could be described as....cute. A pair of men's shorts which were rather baggy and tied around her hips, a tank top that was also rather large on her, and her boxing gloves. A few other clubs had demonstrated their sports, judo, wrestling, but she knew her sport was better than those other ones. Of course her sparring partner was a male student....for some odd reason most didn't like fighting her. She was stronger than the girls on the team and most of the guys knew she had given someone a mild concussion on accident....okay, maybe more than once....but they were only mild concussions! No lasting brain damage.

She had her gloves draped around her neck as she walked to the gym, catching sight of Quinn. Wilhelmina was still wrapping her wrists to provide the joints better stability but did decide to give her notice. "Don't blink," she said, smirking a little as she brushed by to walk in.

But hey, Wil was a good girl. She knew no one could stay in the ring long with her so she was prepared to let anyone in the school that wanted to come and have a little match with her. Heh, not like anyone could beat her. Ahh, if only the student counsil didn't keep her so busy she would've been frequently in matches against other schools....such a shame, ah well.

Her face completely stoic, Quinn’s gaze wordlessly followed the blond girl inside the gym. Though she remained silent, she grinned and eased herself off the wall, releasing a relieved sigh as she stretched her arms and legs. Idly pulling at her tight muscles, she briefly walked into the sunshine to warm herself up. Standing in the shade could be pretty chilling! The tomboy bent over to lazily grab her bag before waltzing after her blue-streaked companion. Watching Wil’s back, she slyly grinned as she offhandedly remarked, “Nice a** you’ve got there.” Perhaps if the other girl turned around fast enough, she would find the fleeting remains of Quinn’s impish smile before her face turned casually innocent.

Quinn hadn’t heard much about the student council and whatever they did. Well, she hadn’t heard much about the people at the school in general, really. Why bother if she ditched school so much? Really. Although, it seemed that Wil felt at ease when in her boxing gear. Turning thoughtful for a brief moment, she angled her head to the side, reminded of how natural it felt for Quinn to be out in the streets and fighting. Looking around for anything that resembled a “ring”, she inquired, “Soooo. What are the rules of this sport again?”

Errrr.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 13, 2010 12:13 am

Wil ground her teeth. Don't turn around. Don't look at her, don't acknowledge her. Wasn't the first time she'd heard something like that, wouldn't be the last. Stupid Shin-Lu would most likely make certain of that. Oddly enough that woman was one of the few not too terrified of her to actually say something...damned perverts....why did she attract them?!

She glanced at Quinn after pulling the ropes apart to step into the ring. "You punch the s**t out of whomever stands in front of you till he stays down," she said simply. She liked boxing for just that reason. There were no complex little this and that. All she needed was to beat up whomever stood in her way....good for relieving stress.

But when the students filed in she put on her professional face, standing next to another student who simply towered over her.

"My name is Wilhelmina," she said loudly, a voice crisp enough to silence their chatting if only because it was starting to hear such a stern tone come from someone as....small and cute as her. "Max and I will be demonstrating boxing. It's a sport with few rules and many bruises," she said, pulling up her assistant's sleeve to show several welts on his arm that trailed to his torso. "The rules are simple, beat your opponent down with as much force necessary. Your gear," she paused to put on a padded helmet, "a helmet, gloves, and a mouth guard. I would suggest men wear a cup, however that is completely up to the guy in question," she said, quirking a brow as her assistant knocked on his own cup, perhaps afraid she would accidently get him there.

With that aside though her assistant pulled his helmet onto his head, slipped his mouth guard in, and pulled on his gloves, immediately posing with his fists up near his face. "This is a typical null position, after throwing a punch," which he demonstrated, "the arm should come straight back to where it was protecting the face and head area. Of course can either do a straight out jab, upper cut, or feint. It really is up to the person's preference." Again, with each mentioned he demonstrated by punching the air. "Easily said though, right? Well seeing in action is something completely different..." she geared herself up and they both strode over to opposite corners, shaking the tension out a bit before leaping at each other. However with one solid uppercut to his jaw and another jab to the bottom of his diaphragm her assistant was down and choking for air.

Wil stepped back to her place and removed her helmet and mouth guard. "Any questions?"

Contrary to Quinn’s initial expectation, Wil did not turn back to sharply glare at her. However, she at least had the satisfaction of knowing that without a doubt the taller girl was fuming and restraining her fury. Surprisingly, Quinn’s grin stretched even wider. Rather than be irked and frustrated over this minor change of events, she was actually amused. It was funny, since she usually had a quick temper and could flare up over even the simplest of things. Perhaps being back in school made her more lighthearted—at least for the moment.

Trailing after her, she blankly stared at the stands, filled with her fellow classmates that amiably chattered and yakked the day away. Immediately shifting into bored mode, Quinn ambled over to the bleachers, plopping down in the nearest empty seat. Arms crossed, her head at a slight tilt, she mutely watched the demonstration.

At the end, what did she think of the boxing sport? Eh. Nothing much. Wil may have claimed that there were no rules to boxing, but Quinn had noticed a distinct lack of kicking, and that “typical null position”? Meh. In the end, the messy-haired blond still preferred the lax style of street fighting. She could be as dirty and sly as she wanted. No matter how Wil presented boxing, the idea that the sport had some rules of a sort was eternally cemented in Quinn’s mind. Sighing, she cracked her wrists and lazily raised an arm. “Yeah, can I take a crack at this thing now?” she drawled.
