I've never played that specific game before, though have totally experienced those instances. Usually it results in me throwing up my controller mid battle and letting myself get killed.
Usually it turns out that I was actually supposed to lose the battle, but sometimes...like in FFXIII you're being fired on like a million times in one turn by a helicopter and the barrage just does not stop. D; So I thought I was supposed to give up....nope.
You mean the actual Helicopter boss or those hovering bikes? FFXIII can be a pain in that you're required to use Buffs in some encounters and there's no real way to grind until late game. I think the biggest pain I had until figuring that out was with the Behemoths and hovering bikes with Lightning and what's his name.
