For those of you in or near southern Connecticut there is a Renn faire going on and July 24-25 is Time Traveller’s Weekend. I can assure you that there will be many people in Steampunk outfits. This faire is run by the same people as the wicked faire and the Steampunk world's faire. Ahh, I'd love to go, but I lack the funds to do so. That.... And I live in southernish California. That doesn't help eitherXD

Got back and it was a blast. They had a contest to see which group was the better invaders, the goths or steampunks. I am happy to say we kicked a**. The fair was mostly renn faire people but we steampunks fit in nice and I got a lot of compliments on my outfit, one vendor even had me do some shots for them for the website. It was hot though, 102 with a heat index of 108.

well, I'm up in the midwest and we have no steampunk themed conventions by themselves, but there are a couple sci-fi fantasy conventions that have lots of steampunk in them so... I assume that counts?
