Death, Doom, Destruction, Chaos, and disaster must run rampant....
This thread is dedicated to my now lost cat, Mugwort. Mugwort came to me after my neighbor's cat had kittens out of the blue. All the others were given away, but I got to keep Mugwort.
Mugwort was, for quite some time, an inside cat. She stayed with me in my room, and we got along quite well. After I finally got a place, Mugwort had to live outside, since I could not take her with me. Mugwort seemed to enjoy outside life even more, although she seemed to miss me as well.
After my job decided to dissolve, due to various reasons, and I couldn't afford rent, I moved back in with the parents, and got to be with my kitty more. However, Mugwort wasn't allowed inside, for there was no room for a catbox in the space that used to be my 'room'.
As of July the Fourth, in the year of 2010, sometime in the night, this loving cat was hit by an unknown car while everyone was asleep. It appears it was a clean hit, hopefully an instant kill with no pain, and no lingering.
Mugwort was a dear friend, a loving and kind cat (although she would claw anyone that might say such a thing.... she tried hard to protect her 'cool, aloof, and better than thou' image with the other cats and people) and made the funniest and cutest sqeuak if you picked her up. I am proud to say I was the only one she would tolerate to hold her for any length of time, although she didn't always like it of course. And so, this is here to remember her, every year, on this day, the fourth of July, my faithful, beautiful, loving kitty.

Mugwort looks almost happy in that picture.

This is Mugwort,named after a healing item from Jade Cocoon 2 for ps2. She didn't want anything to do with that cat bed until AFTER i moved out.... -_-
If only she had gone to sleep in it instead of running around in the road for some reason ; -;

A thousand sympathies from me. I, personally, adore cats, and even early on reading anything that included "death" and "cat" made me cry.
My earliest memory of such situation was in elementary when I read a cat heaven book and bawled...
*ahem*
I'll keep your precious kitty's memory in my thoughts too. ):
