I'm nearly done watching the series, just a few episodes to go. 3nodding I'm surprised no one else has posted a thread about it. Especially considering how many fans we have here according to the fave anime poll. smile
Anyway yes, I love it.. I am on Light's side, but I feel slightly torn now I'm seeing what happens at towards the end of the anime. surprised As far as the live action story pans out I am on Light's side all the way through pretty much. xd
Thus far I think Mello is just a wanker TBH, lol.. rofl Near is brilliant, but very devious and TBH not really as good as L in my opinion. mrgreen I really dunno who I prefer out of them all right now though, still Light I guess. razz

Light is pretty bloody awesome...you've watched some ahead of me didn't you? Bugger XD I've seen most of it before...but yeah XD I'm on Light's side...why are the police after him, when he was killing CRIMINALS in the first place? After him cause lack of a job? XD

I'm on lights side too. And if you guys like DN, you should lookk for a copy of Death Note: Another Note. Its a seperate story about Beyond Birthday. Absolutely awesome.

I rooted for him in the beginning, but then he became corrupted and EVIL, and began taking advantage of others for his own personal gain!! << Spoiler Alert >>PLUS, HE KILLED LAWLIET!! I'LL NEVER FORGIVE HIM!!!
I was surprised that Light died, but I was like,

@Brian: Yeah, I was meaning to get hold of a copy at some point. I'll probably watch L - Change The World first though.
@Rougen: If you haven't seen it I think you should go watch it, tis about L's last days alive. (the live action stories ending is vastly different to the anime)

Anyway L lets his feelings get to him, so he isn't that good. (Imma regret saying that aren't I? lol sorry)

You clearly don't understand Lights perspective though Rougen. Light gets corrupted by the power the Death Note gives him, yes. He loses some of his sanity also, from like the 2nd episode and gets gradually worse. Till he relinquishes the note and his memories of it, but then they return so he goes back to his psychosis.
Furthermore it should be noted that Light only killed L, cos L was trying to kill him first. In fact until L got involved Light killed no innocents at all. In fact Misa was far less caring, she was gonna kill L herself just out of love for Light.
L was bound to be killed by someone anyway, and probably a much worse person than Light if not him or Misa. Lets be honest.

The "taking advantage of others for personal gain" you can kinda just blame on his frame of mind after spending so much time with such an 'evil object'.
Don't get me wrong.. I do not dislike L.. But Light has no reason to be hated so much merely for killing L..

I did understand his perspective at the beginning, but........ if you think about it from a larger perspective.......
Criminals are people, horrible people. Yes. But people can also change. Trust me, I completely understand, but......
L was only doing his job! And he was a lonely man!! TT - TT
I love him to death........ heart
So yeah, from then on, I hated Light. :3

YouTube really is bad for watching films, it's not even good for anime or music these days.
