Setting: A tiled pathway, with grass at both sides of the pathway. The grass seems to go on endlessly, not a tree or any articles in sight, making substitution jutsu impossible. The time is noon, and the sun is rising to its peak.

Blaze gets the first post.

A wind howled for a brief moment, an instant before a bright, yet short, burst of light appeared on the middle of the tiled pathway. When the light began to clear, a young man stood with his arms folded in the center of the path. When the light had completely vanished, the details of the young man became clear, revealing that it was Jatai. Jatai turned his head and looked towards his opponent. His face showed no signs of emotion, it seemed blank and expressionless.

"Are you ready, then?"

Jatai asked, sliding his left foot on the ground a little, thus widening his stance a bit.

Jatai then lowered into a fighting stance himself, looking towards his Blaze, his eyes focused intensely to look for any weak spots in his stance. Not seeing any momentarily, Jatai concluded that he, himself, would just have to make weak points in his opponent. Without the slightest expression his face, Jatai rushed from where he stood, leaving a cloud of dust behind. He sped towards Blaze appearing like a blur. When he approached Blaze, a second cloud of dust appeared as he halted, and Jatai had set his left hand on the ground, holding his right hand over his mid-section, his left knee on the ground, and sent an upwards roundhouse kick towards Blaze's center.

Jatai placed his feet firmly on the ground. Then appeared a cloud of dust as Jatai soared straight up.

"A ring of fire, interesting, but I don't see much use of it. However, I was hoping you would do something like that. I don't like being the first to exhaust chakra. But matching jutsu for jutsu may form a bit of a problem for you if a fireball jutsu is your only stock in storage."

Jatai clapped his hands together in a tiger hand seal while he was in mid-air. He inhaled deeply, holding his breath as he looked down at the battlefield below.

"Katon Release: Birushan."

Jatai exhaled, blowing a large stream of violet flames downward, towards Blaze.

"Another fireball jutsu?"

Jatai made the hand signs for dragon and tiger. He took a deep breath. As he exhaled, he generated a large glowing fireball towards fireball jutsu that Blaze used in order to counter it.

"Katon Release: Mercurial Blaze Sphere."

Jatai then shifted his position in mid-air so he began to fall head first towards the ground. As he approached the ground, he moved his hands so that they would touch the ground first. Doing so as he landed, his pushed off the ground again so as to make some distance between Blaze and him.

"I think I'll show off my speed a little, now."

Jatai then quickly rushed towards Blaze at lightning quick speed, leaving a cloud of dust in his former position in the battlefield. As he approached Blaze, he began to send his right hand towards Blaze's stomach, the palm of his hand was facing downward so that his fingers were pointing towards the target.

"This is my Hiraken Style Taijutsu: Chikara Zoku!"

Chikara Zoku is a taijutsu technique, native to the Omikami, that involves absorbing the chakra of a target by making contact with the opponent. In other words, if Jatai's jab made contact with Blaze, then Blaze would lose lose of his chakra, as it would be absorbed by Jatai.

(Of course, you can use any chakra nature stated in your profile. Though, taijutsu doesn't really have a chakra nature, lol)

Jatai placed a quick pressure on the ground with his feet, bending his knees, before springing straight up from the ground and flipping backwards while in mid-air before landing on the ground, recreating distance between him and his opponent. He held his arm straight up, shooting a bolt of lightning into the sky. The sky then began to be covered in sparks of lightning that strung from the original bolt that Jatai sent into the sky. Sparks then began fly from Jatai's body as the sparks magnified themselves in the sky.

"Well then, you're also a raiton user, how the more interesting."

Jatai looked with a straight face towards the pillars and then up into the sky where the lightning sparks flew around with the booming of loud thunder crashes.

(Though I did want to see more of the battle, you did good for your first ranking test. As well, I was enjoying the battle and would have liked to see how things were going to turn out. I'd say you'd make a good Jonin. And considering how the battle had to be cut short, we'll call it a draw, so you can add 4 more points to your skill chart, as well you can add 20 more points because you went from Genin to Jonin.)
