Epileptic_Nightmare
Ok so I'm in a summer class to get me ready for some 9th grade classes. I really suck with algebra and I'm not really getting it can someone help?
These are some problems I have been given and I wish to know if they are correct or not.
(2^3 times 2^2) times 2^4= 512
(-5)^2 times (-5)= -125
This last problem has me stumped.
1 over 2 in parenthesis times 1 over 2 in parenthesis=?
Well the first is correct. You add exponents if the bases are the same.
Second is correct as well. Same given reason.
The third would be .25
Reason being: To multiply exponents, you have to just multiply across. Numerator times numerator over denominator times denominator.
If you need any more help with this, PM me. That gets through faster. =]
