The Demonic Plain, the Demonic Relm, Hell, the Underworld. This place is known by many names, and although most humans have never layed eyes upon it, it's existance has been known of since the beginning of man. A divine place of eternal punishment and suffering.
The Demonic Plain is ruled over three goddesses, or devils: Homicide, Suicide, and Nature. Homicide has the most control here, as Suicide is more in charge of the Purgatory region, and Nature has bearings in both the unseen Heaven and in this Hell. Under them, are 4 rules who each control a section of the Underworld. These are the King of the North, the King of the South, the King of the East, and the King of the West.
Here, if you have a demon within you, or are bound to one, that demon has power over you. In the same way, if you enter into the Demonic Plain while still considered to be alive, and are murdered, your soul becomes the property of the one who killed you. Out of all the souls in this Underworld, the only ones who hold any status besides for the Kings and the goddesses, are those who practiced Necromancy in their lifetime. The devil Nature stands against those who practice Necromancy, same with the goddess Homicide and, except for on special exceptions, so does Suicide. However, the Kings who rule over the 4 sections of Hell typically delite in the Necromancers, seeing them nearly as helpers, for lowering the ever-growing population of damned souls, as seeing their works as virtues, or sacrifices, to themselves.
When you are here, you are under the powers of the Kings. You can only enter the Demonic Relm through a portal, which requires finding one who knows how to open such a gate between the Living and the Dead, and one who can keep it open. Once the gate you entered in through is closed, it is nearly impossible to escape.
