So now that you have created a simple Profile, and also have read the rules, this is where your adventures truly start =D. Here I will explain why you are at the academy instead of just joining a squad first thing, and also how to navigate successfully though out the academy so you aren't confused. And lastly what you need to do/requirements in order to graduate from the Shinigami Academy.
WHY DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE ACADEMY FIRST IN ORDER TO BECOME A TRUE SHINIGAMI? The first reason you have to go through with the academy with being a shinigami is because of the fact that some students may be newbs to roleplay or Bleach so here is where they can obtain bleach knowledge as well as RP experience.
Second reason is that you can RP right away as soon as you join with a simple Profile posted. This way you can RP while you think about how you want to fully develop your character instead of creating a rushed half assed character that lacks so much logic.
Third, and last reason, is the fact that the academy builds a background story for your character. This can help you in writing your History on your official profile in the profile sub-forums. Such as how they came out to graduate the academy and ect.

Lets get down to how to navigate the academy. If you haven't noticed yet. The three announcements marked (Read First), (Read Second), and (Read Last), are the Threads you should have read already and I will assume you have since you must be a great and wonderful student now aren't you! The sticky's are informational post meant to enhance your knowledge on bleach. I would recommend you read many of them since they will help you in developing a solid character as well as in RP wise battles. Below the sticky's are normal threads that are in RP, so these are the actual places of the Shinigami Academy. The point is to review how well you can RP as a student. So I would recommend hanging around the classrooms as much as possible because Captains may review your post and graduate you.
How do I graduate exactly?
The pace you graduate in will depend on your knowledge in bleach, how literate your roleplaying skills are, and how active you are through out the guild. Spend your time in the academy and review bleach knowledge. If you feel that you are ready to graduate, you can PM the captain of the Squad you wish to join and if they accept you they will post your name under the Graduation Ceremony thread (So keep an eye out for it!) Also, there may be some captains you actually wish for you to be in their squad so they may automatically post your name in the graduation ceremony. You can deny to join a squad if you don't like it. Your time in the academy can be as short as one week to one month. Now Get To Work!
