Okay, so I know there are some religions that forbid tattoos, and while I know several Buddhists who have tattoos, I just wanted to ask: is it okay to get tattoos in Buddhism?
And while your here, I have a bonus question. I remember hearing somewhere that good posture helps Chi and good energy flow more easily through your body. Lately, I've been trying to have better posture but often I'll get distracted by something I'm doing an go back into my old habits. Do you do this? Any advice on how to make the posture stick?
Thank you!

I've also been wondering this.
The seventh precept talks of refraining from adorning the body with perfumes and cosmetics, but I do not think that cosmectics are counted as tattoos. However, I think that the precept is more of a guide for lack of indulgence and overcoming attachment to the body.
Although, tattoos can be a good reminder of your goals. Personally, I will most likely be getting a Buddhist tattoo once I can pay for it. I also feel that they are a good test of the strength of one's mind, especially if you are getting your tattoo in a particularly painful place. As I was getting my first tattoo (on the front of my right hip), I was trying to meditate and focus on my breathing. I was not successful, but I am still a fledgling Buddhist. The point of Buddhism is to overcome suffering. What better way than to accept the pain of a tattoo?
As for your posture question, I am in the same boat. I think it's best to just keep at it. Almost like meditation. Your mind will wander, but once you are reminded of your goal, you should instantly continue the productive practice.

I think much the same way. smile I think it the tattoo is for the right reason, ie; it means something to you, it is beautiful art, it is a reminder of someone, something, or a goal, then it is a good thing to have. I don't think that doing it because it's whats cool would be a proper reason, you know? smile
I have a few large ones, personally.
As for the posture thing, DEFINITELY. I had horrible posture for a very long time [and I have a minor curve in my spine, which doesn't help with things...] but I took yoga classes a few times a week for a few months and now just on my own I am aware, and correct all the time. Its to the point now where sloppy posture makes my back hurt, and feels ..... lazy and not as fresh. It just takes time that's for sure! smile
