The black teen dragon nikku moved swiftly near the foot of the mountains. He never turned back to look at what was chasing him, for he knew if he looked he wouldn't see him. For the thing he was running from was his inner personality with in. His evil self as he often called it. Moving up on the cliffs Zak tried to keep his mind firm, keeping out that other self of him from returning. He was quite helpless when he took over, he personally didn't like killing things, yet his other self was the opposite of that. A shiver ran up his spine as he thought of it and continued to ascend the cliffs shutting his mind out of those thoughts. His wings keeping his balance as his footing on the rocks was loose. If he slipped he would catch himself either with his wings or with the sharp ends of his claws. He believe the mountains would be the best place to get away from others, just in case his other self would show, that way no one would get hurt because of him. Isolation might be hell on his little mind, yet hurting others always made him feel worse, even if it was just his other self doing so.

Pyrrhus was making his patrol, climbing gracefully over even the most unstable rocks, a tribute to his mountain upbringing. He stalled as he heard a noise, the shell along his back crackling as it began to reignite. It was rare for there to be anything else up here, and when there was it was rarely friendly. "Who trespasses on my summit?" he called out, his voice carrying with it an echo of the crackling, "These are the caves of fire, it is dangerous." He had to admit to himself that he was curious, having not had a visitor in some time. Perhaps it would be another strange Nikku from below the mountains as it had the last time. Sugar had been the last, he thought.

The black dragon stopped in his tracks at the voice. Someone was up here, but he wondered who could be up here by themselves. He didn't think there would be anyone else, its the reason he came this far. Yet he scurried behind a rock, the crackling noises were scaring him, not knowing what it was. Staying still he hoped this creature would pass, after he didn't know what he would do or where he would go. Somewhere isolated if possible, here was not that place.

Pyrrhus sniffed the air, there was certainly someone here. Where exactly, he wasn't sure. "You've come this far" he boomed, his voice echoing off the rocks, "You may as well show yourself so I don't have to look under every rock and stump." He was tired by this routine, many of those that found him decided quickly that they were not so interested, he could never quite gather why. Perhaps they assumed that because the caves were dangerous, he was. "I'm not going to hunt you," he tried to assure the hidden one.

A black head slipped around the rock he was hiding behind, finally getting a good look at the creature which was calling for him to come out. His claws scrapped against the rocks as he moved a bit further from behind his rock. At the moment he was staring at Pyrrhus' back side. "I'm not that afraid of you," he murmured softly, seeing it was just another Nikku, but a different species. "I'm more afraid of hurting you,"

He seemed to raise a brow at that, turning to face the sound. As he did a layer of hardened ash fell from one of his legs, releasing a sudden torrent of flame. He shook it off and it calmed down after a moment as new ash began to accumulate. "I'm not so easily injured as most," he pointed out, "My body creates somewhat of its own shield. Why should I fear you?" His horns simmered, creating a haze in the air around him that was almost hypnotic to some. "In case you haven't noticed, it's quite difficult to even approach me."
