Annie sat quietly in one of the few empty compartments of the train. She didn't know anyone, and she figured it would just be easier if she met everyone at school rather than bother any of the upperclassmen who were already sitting with friends in the other train cars. Some of the students, she'd noticed, were still wandering about the cars, looking for a place to sit. Bored, she pulled one of her text books from her luggage on the top compartment and started to read into it. Lenore was curled up sleeping on the seat next to her, enjoying the quiet of the car.

TerryAnne wandered the train looking for a place to reside, her faithful barn owl Chess on her shoulder. Why had she not gotten on the train early? Now she would have to find someone to sit with. She hated meeting new people... "Hey! There's an empty, well nearly empty compartment!" She said to herself. She poked her head in and said "Hello! May I sit with you? First year right? Everywhere else has snotty Second years and up."
Sarah, or Ellie, as she liked to think of herself as, stood in the middle of the hallway in the train, where in the world was she supposed to sit? She saw near her a girl with bright blonde hair and a large owl on her shoulder poking her head into a compartment and saying hello, but there was no way she could do that. Just the thought of introducing herself made her stomach muscles tighten.

Annie looked up over the top of her book at the girl who had just entered. She smiled at her mannerisms, then gave a nod.
"Sure, it's six to a car and there's plenty of luggage room," she gestured up to the racks above the seats, "I don't have a problem if you don't."
Lenore looked up at the sound of the noise and seemed to be displeased. Regardless, she curled back up and continued her snooze.

TerryAnne smiled, yay for polite people! She entered and hauled her luggage above their heads. Chess becoming ruffled at the movement and drifting down the seat, opposite the cat. TerryAnne plopped down next to him and held out her hand to the girl, "TerryAnne Michelle Kurtz! But you can call me Terry, Anne, Micce ((Mee-chee)), or whatever you want! I respond to pretty much everything!"
Ellie bravely walked over to the door the otehr girl had gone in and saw that she was introducing herself to the another girl. I can do this, I can do this! she thought to herself, but before she could knock, her shyness crept back in and she froze in her spot.

Annie giggled a bit, taking Terry's hand in her own, "Annabelle Lee Everly, though everyone just calls me Annie. Nice to meet you Anne." She folded the book shut, setting it down on her lap. "And it's nice to be reminded your not the only first year, y'know?"
Lenore looked darkly at the girl and the owl, looking around to see if there were any other disturbances. That's when the cat spotted Ellie outside the door. Curious at the quiet one she hopped down from the seat and scratched at the door.
Annie looked over to her cat, catching Ellie's face in the window through her peripheral vision. She gestured for her to come in, may as well fill up the car.

Violet paced around through her classroom. It was empty, awaiting the arrival of new students and old friends. She had to make sure it was all neat and that she had everything to dress up for the sorting ceremony and dinner and what-not. She then paused and wondered if the Hufflepuff head of House was in as big a rush as she, surely the HoH's had much more work to do...poor dears.

TerryAnne smiled, "agreed!" Catching her eye, she follwed her new friend's gaze to the panic-struck girl outside their door. "Are we that scary-looking?"
Ellie's eyes widened as teh paced over to the door, surely it was too late to make an escape now! And of course, now the other two were looking straight at her. Having no other choice, she might as well sit here for the long remainder of the ride, she slid open the door and entered a half a foot. Just as she was about to open her mouth to try to introduce herself, a mean looking boy ran past, chasing a friend and rudely pushed her and her luggage out of the way. "Ah!" With a cry, Ellie fell forward onto the floor between the two girls.
TerryAnne stepped over the prone girl and yelled down the hallway, "watch it jerk! Hit her one more time and deal with me!" And she was a frightening sight to behold, her blonde hair streaming in seven different directions, robes she was already wearing had billowed around her and her wand brandished in ehr hand. But the boy merely smirked and stuck his tongue out. TerryAnne shook her head and stalked back into her compartment. "Boys!" She muttered before turning to the girl, "Hey, you okay?" she asked as she sat up.
Ellie looked at the girl whom she had in her mind begun to refer to as a ferocious lion, with a mane that matched, nodded dumbly, she had hit her head hard on the floor and something was pecking at her hand... "Oh! Trisha!" Ellie scooped up the small Boreal Owl and cuddled her, assuring her of her relative safety now that she was seated, somewhat. "Um, please excuse me!" She said, face turning bright red and standing swiftly, "My name's Sarah Elise Matthews, um.. Ellie I guess.. I uh" as her fear fased, her shyness kicked in and her words ground to a halt.

Lenore jumped quickly out of the way once the door had opened, avoiding the fall of Ellie.
Annie scowled at the open door and the sound of the others outside of if.
"If I knew how to use this wand I'd hex him so hard..." she growled, pulling out her finely decorated applewood wand. Shaking it off she smiled at Ellie.
"No sweat, I'm Annie, and this is TerryAnne," she gestured to her newest friend, "Do you want some help with your stuff? I could stick it up by mine and you could hang in here with us." Annie had been raised to be polite, though she had no patience for arrogance or cruelness...neither trait this girl before her showed to posses.

Ellie smiled quietly, maybe this wasn't so bad. She bowed slightly, a habit she ahd picked up from the anime she couldn't get enough of. "Pleased to meet you both. Thank you." She knew from experience that as long as she stared at the floor, she could manage speaking without stuttering.
TerryAnne smiled, barely a few minutes into this train ride and already she had two new friends! She grabbed Ellie's luggage and hoisted it above with her own. "There! Now let's sit!" And she plopped back down, following her own advice.

Rebecca stared out the window, trying to ignore the worried glances she'd been getting from the first year on the other side of the compartment. The boy kept looking from his book up to her, as if he expected her to hex him while he wasn't looking. She giggled remembering that she'd once been that worried. Her parents had told her that the upperclassmen tended to pick on first years. Luckily she'd had no trouble. When the boy had first wandered by her compartment, he looked lost and confused so she told him he could sit with her. It took her a second to realise that the last thing he wanted to do was sit with a Slytherin. She hated having that reputation, it wasn't like she was going to do anything to him.

Rachel wandered toward the back of the train,I wonder who will let me sit with them this year. I should try to find a compartment with first years.She peered through the glass at each door, sometimes having the curtains closed in her face. She finally found one with first years and cracked the door open slightly to see a girl with blonde hair looking back. "Hey can I sit here? Every other compartment has been full or they closed the door on me."
Rebecca pet Sam through the bars on his cage. The first year had invited someone to sit with them and he was obnoxious. For the past ten minutes all he'd been doing was making disgusting jokes, annoying noises and asking her irritating questions. She'd finally managed to drown him out by putting her earphones in and cranking her music.

Aurelia set up the last extra textbook and dusted off the empty space on the shelf. I wonder what kind of curious snots I'll get. She reviewed her lesson plan, making sure she had every defensive spell she wanted to teach them on there. Harmless little spells, I wonder if any stuudents will be interested in any other...less harmless ones. She hoped there would be at least one student to humor her. She yawned and set off toward her quarters to decide which black dress she should wear.

TerryAnne stared at the girl, are we just attracting people? Do we have a sign saying we're friendly please invite yourself in? She knew it was unfair, but it was a bit overwhelming to have met so many people so quickly. "I guess?" She said, not really wanting to just throw her out if she had been searching the train like she herself had just been doing, but it wasn't ehr place to make decisions alone, no leader in the group had been established yet. She looked to Ellie And Annie, awaiting their opinions.
Ellie nodded her head, "It's okay, if she's been searching we shouldn't just kick her out, we have plenty of room." She was slightly freaked out by the amount of people she would be expected to converse with, but the girl looked nice enough.

Annie shrugged, "Train car sits six people, last I check we only have three," she cringed a bit as Lenore let out a low growl, "Fine...four? Well three and a cat." She petted her faithful companion's head, Lenore purring at the attention. She didn't mind meeting all of these people, they seemed polite enough and she'd just kind of grabbed this space to get away from the upperclasses.
