One of the many bases scattered across the continent that is controlled by the demons. Unlike the monsters, there is nothing remotely home-like about the place. There are no beds, no kitchens, nada. What there is, is a large main floor that towers several floors that's full of rooms and corridors, and several floors of dungeons beneath it. There are no lights, except for some occasional candles along the walls every ten feet or so. This is where Dulgolfa holds Lazuli captive and occasionally tortures until her hopeful rescue.

Sherra's frown deepened when they arrived at the place where Lazuli was, noting the dull colors and lack of convenient light. Why did she have to be in a place like this?? Zelas had decided to stay behind and deal with her mansion so they wouldn't have her to back them up. Sighing, she suddenly heard something in front of her, and glanced over to see Cerras skipping ahead of them. She was already in a bad mood as it was, but the half-mazoku's cheerful attitude was really wearing her down. Unable to take it any longer she stomped over to her, and gave her a swift bonk on the head. "Idiot. What do you think this is? A fieldtrip? We're here to rescue Lazuli from Dulgolfa. DUL-GOL-FA. As in the evil sword that's kicked me out of my own body. That's probably got her locked up somewhere and is torturing her as we speak?! And you think it's cute to just skip around like a kid on their way to the candy store??" she demanded angriily, lips curled into a deep frown and her hands in fists planted on her hips. It would've been downright intimidating, if it hadn't been for the fact that she was in Juri's body, so it just ended up looking comical.
Xellos sighed quietly, letting Sherra go on with her rant. He knew she was under a lot of stress, so it would probably do her some good in the long run, though he felt bad that it had to be taken out on Cerras. "Look, this isn't going to get us anywhere. Why don't we just split up and look for Lazuli?" he questioned helpfully, hoping the others would co-operate. He really didn't want this to turn into more of a headache than it already was.

Cerras's eyes narrowed when Sherra bonked her roughly on the head. The silver-haired mazoku was still stressed herself, deep down. But she didn't think about taking it out on people like Sherra did. She believed that was wrong. "At least it's better than being a little snitch. You think I'm not worried at all?! Then you're damn wrong! Stop taking your anger towards Dulgolfa out on us. It's you're own fault for being so stubborn in the first place!!! " Cerras growled, she didn't appreciate how Sherra was treating her. It was downright childish. "I'm going on ahead." Cerras murmured, heading to where she sensed Lazuli's presence. As she went further into the dark, she seemed to get closer. But many lesser demons got in the way. Cerras used many high level spells, her concern for Lazuli seemed to give her much more energy. Lazuli... I'm coming

"Why would I waste that anger on you?!! I'm saving that for Dulgolfa. What's pissing me off, is how you can still act like a stupid brainless kid!! Xel must have worse taste in women than I thought if he's settled for you!!" she retorted, shouting the last line after Cerras as she left. Then again, you're not much of a woman anyway...more like a toddler stick figure... she mentally added unhappily. And to think that this brat had become her rival for Xel!? Not much of a rival. As if he'd ever fall for that brainless half monster. She'd never understand him half as well as she did, even with her time disadvantage. "Come on. We'll leave that kid to the kid. Let's go and find that damned sword." she said bluntly, before heading off towards the nearest corridor. Xellos let out a small sigh, and then followed after his 'partner'. It was times like these that being around her was a bit exhausting. She was a good person, that much was certain, but her quick temper often got her into quick trouble. It came in handy when they were in the midst of a fight -since it usually got things over with quicker- but it wasn't good for staying on good terms with friends.

Lazuli could barely feel anything until she was roughly thrown onto the stone floor of the prison cell, adding to the pain she was already suffering from. As soon as she heard the clang of the door shutting and the patter of the demons walking away, she slowly pulled herself into a sitting position. She hadn't even made it half way before she collapsed back on the dirt covered floor, curled into a ball from the pain. The lesser demons around her cell had decided to pass the time beating her before bringing her down here, which explained her poor condition. She didn't remember too much from when Sherra -or at least she thought it was Sherra- had kidnapped her, except that she'd woken up being used as a human soccer ball.
Are the others even coming...? she thought unhappily between groans of pain. They should've been here by now...

Cerras finally made it to the basement, and noticed the area where Lazuli was locked up. But as she made her way over to help her friend, she was surrounded by many powerful demons. "Will you just leave me alone?" She questioned letting out a sigh. In a swift motion, she swung her sword, slicing off many of the demons heads. "Lazuli...?" She murmured, grabbing the key that was dropped on the floor and walking over to her.

Rayla sat on Cerras, She had followed them there. She wanted to come to try to find some of here Demon friends like Katumaru or Levianthan.

It took several minutes for Lazuli to pull herself up enough to see Cerras coming towards her, and she could barely keep it up long enough to say anything before she collapsed back onto the ground. She was just too weak and tired to do anything. Even respond to Cerras's question.

Cerras was quiet, waiting silently for an answer. But then she saw Lazuli collapse to the ground. She rushed over to her, angry thoughts running through her head. She didn't understand what she was supposed to do. The silver-haired mazoku cast a recovery spell, hoping for Lazuli to regain a bit of her strength, before healing her wounds. It seemed she was wounded more internally than anything. She was going to kill whoever--- She felt a cold hand on her shoulder, and quickly swung her sword, slicing the demon in two. She wasn't even thinking at the moment, and didn't notice that she had a large wound on her side. She couldn't unless she payed attention. She couldn't feel pain or warmth anymore. She was getting a bit tired, but easily dismissed it --- the thing that kept her going was the fact she was fueled by her anger. "Lazuli...?" She questioned, no tone of feeling in her voice. "Who did this to you?" Her eyes were giving off that same strange glow as before. But that wasn't a good sign at all.

Rayla looked at the two talking to each other. Rayla looked at the wound that was on Lazuli's side and jumped onto Cerras's head. " What happened to you? " She asked confused. She then felt a power coming from her body . She jumped of Cerras and suddenly her house cat body had turned into the size of a tiger. ' My energy is coming back! ' Rayla thought. She concentrated as hard as she could and then she turned into Human form. She looked at the two and crouched down to Lazuli. " Hey whats wrong? " Rayla asked her.

After several minutes, Cerras's spells started to take effect and Lazuli finally managed to get back on her feet. She was still really weak, and a lot of the injuries were still yet to heal. But it was better than before at least. She glanced up at Cerras, not noticing the strange coloring of her eyes. All the fear she'd been feeling was slowly replaced by relief and she flung her arms around the monster, hugging her tightly. Tears were welling up in her eyes but she didn't bother to hide them; after all the pain she'd experienced, she was starting to wonder if they'd come for her at all.

Cerras let the young blond girl cling to her, continuing to walk. They had to escape before they were caught. The silver-haired mazoku used a quick spell, blasting open the wall. When they finally made it a few feet away, she finally collapsed. Her eyes were still that strange shade of purple, and anger showed in them. " ... They will pay... I promise."

Lazuli's eyes widened when Cerras suddenly collapsed, and she knelt down next to her, trying to figure out what was wrong with her. "Are you okay, Cerras? Your eyes are a weird color..." she asked anxiously before noticing the blood on the monster's side. She was about to ask about it, when she heard her swear to get back at whoever'd hurt her. "Um...you already took care of them..." she said, motioning to the corpses in the room they'd just left. Then she noticed Rayla standing nearby, and immediately hid near Cerras so she couldn't be seen. She wasn't sure what the girl was, except that she wasn't human, and that was more than enough of a reason to be afraid of her.

Cerras let a small chuckle escape her and shook her head, " There's still a lot I could do to them..." Maybe she could burn their corpse, or torture the few who were still alive. She didn't know. But the ideas were great in her eyes. She wouldn't let them get away with hurting Lazuli.

By this point, Lazulia wasn't sure who to scared of: the strange girl who'd once been a cat. It didn't take long to decide on a draw. "Cerras, I'm fine. Anything else would just be a waste of time. It's not like they'll know you're punishing them, you'll be beating up dead bodies. Besides, you're injured; you need to be taking it easy." she started healing her friend's injury, hoping that would make her go back to normal. The abnormal eye color was starting to freak her out more. It just didn't seem like it was really Cerras.

Cerras gave only a small nod, she wasn't sure if she even had control of her own body. Like before, it felt as if there was another conscience inside of her. The silver-haired mazoku smiled nervously at Lazuli. "Thank you Lazuli..."
