The sun shone brightly on the expansive, grassy outskirts of Nikku City, with the waters of Maji Lake gleaming invitingly a short ways off. A Flaaffy by the name of Halima flopped down in the grass with a contented sigh, and enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her fur while she watched the clouds go by above her. Not that there were many of them, but the soft breeze that swept by made the view interesting enough. Normally, she would have been wandering the Mana Grasslands, but like so many of her fellow PokeNikku and their trainers, she had come to Nikku City for the summer's festivities.

From the corner of her eye, she could see other PokeNikku nearby, doing everything from splashing in the lake to chasing each other around the field. Well, it was hardly surprising. It was a beautiful day for a mini-vacation.

Summer. It never really made a difference to him whether it was warm or cold... But there was something about the way that the summer sunlight glinted off the water that always pleased him. Thus Caellum found himself curled up beneath a tree, watching his fellow Pokenikkus play in the water.

It was his home, the water, the place that he felt most comfortable, but... Sometimes he found it difficult to interact with the other Pokenikkus. After all he was a loner, deep down, and didn't do well in groups or with strangers. No, he liked his solitude with the sea as his companion... So the fact that he was perched on land and observing was shocking in itself.

Perhaps he had been curious as to what was causing all the noise and commotion nearby. Or, mayhap, he'd simply had an urge to go out amongst others of his kind. Either way it left him on the beach, watching the others splash and play in quiet contemplation.
