Explain whether you change all the existing systems, ways and methods instantly post revolution, or if you maintain all previous systems and then gradually dismantle them.
Can people handle insta-change across the board?
I remember that in Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Heinlen, revolution is handled in the gradual manner, but it's not exactly a Marxian revolution.

I'd slowly drop gov't control in some areas and boost it in others, but yeah. Moderately gradual change. But you have to make sure that people understand that YOU are in charge, and any changes you make are not to be ******** with.

Personally, I'd slowly deconstruct the edifice built by fossil fuels and implement alternative energy sources in every way while, at the same time, lowering the population to a degree that is sustainable. The country would likely look like America as it is now mixed with Cuba. Everyone growing their own food, producing electricity from their own homes, and living in a local way while still doing what we can to maintain, research, and develop certain technologies, especially solar and wind generators. Basically, an Anarcho-Syndicalism form of government.

well.... as an anarcho-commie i would probably skip the whole dictatorship of the prolie thing... instead leave state control in the hands of local union organs.... more or less what the soviets intended for the revolution before the bolshies stole the credit and control stressed . then moving slowly to smaller localized community based self-sufficience with necessities (food, utilities, policing, ect.) and with self sufficiency comes autonomy and self-governance.
(that all assuming a global revolution)

I'd go with a very slow process. Start by attempting to better allocate taxes into more social programs, things like education, and green energy incentives. Basically I'd just start putting more money into things that a large majority of people like, while pulling it out of less useful/favorable things.
Once everyone has become slowly acclimated to their government giving them these things I'd raise taxes, chances are people will still be upset, but much less so than if I'd just done it in the first place. I'd start with raising taxes on luxuries, things like cigarettes and alcohol, most people wouldn't be too unhappy about that. Taxes would slowly go up and money would slowly be reallocated to things like national health care. I'd fully intend to get it free at some point, but I'd start with just having the government pay a portion of the costs relative to the patients income.
I'd then attempt to get some more trade regulations played with, with an education system in place I'd hope the workers would now be much more desirable to their prospective employers. This means we can stop cracking down on immigration and pretty much let whoever we want in, they'll provide the unskilled labor and those workers who weren't smart enough to take advantage of what education was offered to them will be left behind to compete with foreign workers. Basically all foreign workers would have to get a work permit of some sort every 6-12 months, this would make it so as long as they are working and paying taxes in the country they are eligible to receive benefits.
Ah, I also forgot to mention, I'd legalize basically anything, drugs and sex are all a business now, they'll all be taxed heavily, but they'll all be legal.
Slowly I'd think you could get enough of a system set up that you could create a form of socialism. It'd still be riddled with capitalism here and there, but there'd be enough government support to keep the competition equal and keep those who work and contribute all having a reasonable life.
I'm going for a Sweden sort of deal.

It depends on the region and situation obviously. I mean if your regions class demographic is essentially 80% peasants, 3% petty capitalists, 5% Lumpen prole, 11% Prole, 0.2% big capitalists, and 1.8% zombie you proably will not just be able to go industrial command economy from day one. In such an underdevolped country it would be more practical to first use state capitalism to devolp the means of production and build up the ranks of the proletariat. Also you might need to kill the zombies.
Now in a industrialized country without a zombie plague you can pretty much go full steam ahead, beacause ain't nothing that can break your stride, ain't nothing going to slow you down. Because with the tech advances we've made a command economy in an industrial nation would be balls to walls awesome. Now before anyone asks no this does not mean we will force you to become a geologist at gunpoint. You can be a dancer even if everyone else is doing something else. You can dance if you want to. You can leave your friends behind. 'Cause if your friends don't dance and if they don't dance, well they're no friends of mine. (They going to super happy fun camp)
What you thought I was going to sing the song?
