The sun was shining brightly, and big puffy clouds were floating softly in the air, casting a soft shadow across the land. The temperature was nearly perfect, and a soft breeze wold blow across the landscape to cool down anyone who was warm. As the trees softly swayed to the wind, Ares walked lightly over the grass outside of the Xavier Institute. His short red hair blew lightly as the breeze passed over him, a lock from his bangs falling in front of his head as it hung low.
It had been a rough week for him, and it was one of the first times he had actually left his room in quite some time. The day just seemed...peaceful. Calming. While he did enjoy the outdoors...for some reason it just called to him today.
For the first time in quite a while, he felt a inner calmness. A quiet peace. He really hadn't been himself for a while. For some reason, he just couldn't be angry. Sure, before it had been sadness and depression, but even though he was slowly getting over that, he still just didn't feel like being his old self. Not to mention that people seemed to be avoiding him like the plague.
Sighing, he strolled some more, letting the sun hit his face and warm him as a cloud moved out of the way of the bright shining rays. Everyone seemed to be inside today, which was a shame with how beautiful the day was turning out to be.

With the day being as pleasant as it was, Shiori had taken her studies outside earlier that afternoon. She needed to better he knowledge with History. It was not a subject she greatly excelled at, particularly not when she had to study about the origins, leaders, social reforms and whatnot of America. It was hard for her to remember specific dates of when certain events happened, having the information about a different country just made it even more difficult.
She sighed and massaged the bridge of her nose, having just read through half the assigned chapter over again. She had taken notes this time, at least, but her eyes were starting to hurt from staring at so much text.
Deciding a break was in order, Shiori closed her text and leaned back against the tree she sat in front of. The light breeze that drifted past every so often felt really refreshing and cooled her warm body. Sitting directly in the sunlight she would've died from the heat, but beneath the tree's shade it was much more tolerable for her furred body. Letting her body relax, her eyes drifted closed, focusing on the sounds from the animals and the leaves rustling.
((Gah, lame. I'll edit later.))
