During the year that the others were repairing the system, Xeeres helped out when he could. However, before a single moment was spent on reconstruction, Xeeres traveled to Celestial to bury Rose's body. For the most part, he had been at his home, or with the residence of his home, helping them to reconstruct the castle, as well as him stepping out to help in other areas of the universe. Along with this, he had also been reading more on his powers, and practicing with them, versing himself more heavily in the abilities granted to him with the artifact now infused into his body.

While he mostly spent time as himself, on occasion he would switch out with his other half, Nanashi, for the sole purpose of letting him be with Thorn. In his time as himself, aside from various reconstruction projects and training, Xeeres mostly lay in his room resting, since most of his time was spent tending to other needs aside from his own.

At the moment, Xeeres was now in his room, eating snack cakes and watching movies. Everything seemed quiet, and he wasn't anyone's guardian on the outside, so he didn't have much to do. Everything in the castle was calm, so he had actual relaxation time. He smiled a bit. Living with his current residents wasn't as bad as he thought. It was aggravating at first, but eventually he got used to it, mellowed out. He still missed Rose. He felt so alone though he was in a castle full of people. He really did miss her. He sighed and took out another snack cake as he finished off the one currently in his mouth. For the most part, he was over it, he just missed the comfort, and attention, and the affection and love that came with being with someone. It was different from a pet, like the ones he let the twins and Mari get, or friends, it was more special, and it was gone. He groaned a bit, he hated thinking about it, especially in one of his rare quiet moments, but the thoughts always found their way into his head. He put the other snack cake in his mouth and turned up the TV.

Clairs dogs, two Fantasian Temple Guardians named Aztec and Maya burst into Xeeres's room leaping on his bed and licking him all over happily. Aztec, a large purple male with a blazing red mane and gold markings, wrapped his paws around him and nuzzled him. Both were about the size of rhinos and longer than an large SUV. The bed creaked under the weight as they stepped and climbed on top of the bed.

Xeeres sighed at the two dogs as they jumped on his bed. He almost hated himself for letting the twins and Mari get pets. Mainly for this reason. He groaned and pushed them off of him, rolling over and standing beside his bed. "Sit still." He ordered as he fixed his bed with a simple point. The bed raised from the ground and the frame beneath it reconstructed. "That should do it." He said. After a while, simply fixing his bed was a simple task. "Now." He said as he turned to the two giant dogs. "How many times do I have to tell you two to stay out of my room?" He asked, more to himself as he grabbed the two dogs by the backs of their necks and walked through the air into Clair's room. He knew she was highly territorial, but in that case, she should understand how he felt about the constant invasion of his personal space by her dogs. "Clair! They were in my room again." He said, letting the two go. He stuffed his hands in his pockets in slight aggravation, though he was used to the invasions by this time. His him time was ruined. He barely got any of that anymore. Almost didn't know why he tried.

Clair looked at Xeeres displeased with him intruding on her floor. Now that she had her floor nice and dark and highly navigable by her standard, ie blocked hallways and lots of obstacles to climb and dig under, It was like her own home within home. And she didn't want anyone in it without her permission. He face softened as she saw him retrieve her beloved pets. She was sitting on her bed, reading a book but sat up and closed it to greet them "Aww! Did you go and mess up Xeeres alone time? You naughty boys." She cooed as she scratched them under their chin. "Go lay down for mama k?" Aztec and Maya trotted to the other side of the room and laid down obediently. Clair turned back to Xeeres "Sorry about that. You know how they are. it's funny. I can get them to do everything except stay out of your room...weird." she said as she scratched her head and shrugged. She had lightened up on Xeeres over the year. She cut him a lot more slack than she would usually, now being one of those times. Any other time she would hiss at him and throw a fit, but that was all she could do. She had gotten stronger, training with him every other day when he was home and of course sparring with her sister.

Xeeres gave her a look that gave off the impression that he didn't really believe her, but softened up and sighed. "I bet. It's fine I guess." He said, shrugging a bit. She had let up on him a lot over the year, and he had stopped getting on her case as much. Not like he tried to do it that much before, but now he relatively left her to her own devices. He sighed and tilted his head at her. "So, are you doing alright today?" He asked in a calm, friendly manner. His personal time was destroyed, so he could spend a little time with Clair. it wasn't like he was doing much on his own anyway. He adjusted the headphones around his neck. He wore them like that more often, being more in control of his power than he had been before, he could filter out more ambient sound, though he still used the headphones to help. That, and he liked music. His clothes were generally the same, black t-shirt, black jeans, red unbuttoned button-down shirt with designs on it and Rose's scarf wrapped around his waist like his sash had been. He changed his shirt color from blue to red because it matched the scarf. His hair had also grown a bit, down slightly passed his shoulders.

Zeke stood outside of castle on on of the large, football field sized, floating chunks of land that accompanied the large mass that the Castle was made into. His arms were crossed as he stared down the ways at Samara who was silently holding her stance, her eyes locked upon the large man with her usual emotionless glare. Much like how O'Neal had taught Angeal, Zeke had begun teaching the little girl how to fight in a slightly more efficient way, passing on his own scary tactics, to possibly the only thing in this world that could be almost as intimidating as him.

Since her training had begun, Samara's technique, speed, and strength, and likely the scariest of all, her reaction time, had greatly increased, making her all the more an intimidating, and all that much more acceptable in the giant's eyes.

Zeke glanced down at his chest, the last tell-tall signs of wounds starting to disappear from his chest, which still bore the Tattoo of the Collective insignia. At the same time, Samara's own wounds, which had been much more sever looking, also faded away. "Your weeks lesson is over," he said dispelling his Scythe.

Clair sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, just reading. Bought some chapter books our last run to the city, wrote a few compositions....nothing huge." she said as she reclined across her bed. Maya crawled onto her bed with her and she used his thick , muscular form as a pillow. "By the way, Thorn said she wanted you to come to her room when you had the time...said it was a surprise so..keep on your toes. You know how her surprises are, hehe..you unstitch all of your clothes out of that quilt yet?" she chuckled as she turned a page. ((You know what I'm talking about XP ))

Xeeres rolled his eyes at her and sighed. "I just bought new cloths, I hung the thing up on my wall. Figured it would be sort of mean to trash her work like that. But that is why no ones allowed in my room when I'm not there." He said, a bit grudgingly, but for the most part lax and in the same generally friendly manner. He shrugged at her and started to turn around. "Alright then, well, if you're alright then I guess I'll go see what Thorn wants." He said as he turned completely and stepped out outside of Thorn's room. Since her room didn't consist of an entire floor, standing outside of her door was much simpler. "Thorn, it's me." He said as he knocked on the door and waited for a response. Being one of only two male residents of the castle, saying, "it's me", was a lot more specific than one might believe. He replaced the knocking hand in his pocket as he waited.

Samara looked up at Zeke as he dismissed her. Her normal responses hadn't changed and over the year, the others found out what most had already assumed, but had no confirmation of, Samara was in fact mute. She always had been, even before becoming a heartless, although now she was one of the more pure types in a sense. She was much like a White Mushroom or Rare Truffle in the sense that she was in essence good, but she was still her, in that she killed, though only when told to do so or under direct threat. Her wounds from her sparing session healed almost instantly. Though Zeke was stronger than her, her healing was among the best, so the damage she sustained hadn't phased her. It never did in the first place anyway. She turned from him and walked through a dark corridor back into her room. It was still fairly pitch black in her room. The faint light, even more faint than in Clair's room, that showed, was reflected off of the scores of stuffed animals she had collected and infected throughout the year. Much like Nanashi, Xeeres could hardly resist the little girl, and often caved into buying her stuffed animals every time they went out somewhere. It was one of the only things she actively expressed interest in. Even with all of her newly gotten animals, her bear was still her favorite.

Thorn heard the knock at her door and smiled. She was fooling around with new abilities she kept discovering, more of remembering since her little encounter infecting Mari and getting turned into a heartless messed up her mind even more so in more ways than one. Tiny creatures of all shapes and sizes, walked across her desk, assisting her in putting up a small still life. She left them to their own devices and one climbed onto her shoulder. She opened the door and grinned, "Xeeres! There you are! Clair must have sent you! I wanna show you something awesome!" she chirped and brought him to her mural room. It was now finished. "Tada! It took me an entire year but it. is .done!" she cheered. It was massive, taking up every inch on the wall and ceiling. Thorn had knocked down the walls to the entrance to open up the space even further. Below was the ocean and as it rose farther up it would pass through several biomes and creatures Xeeres had probably never witnessed. And the top most was an array of endless stars and smack dab in the center, Kingdom Hearts. Every free moment she got she worked on it and now that it was finally done, she was dying to show it off. The tiny critter stared at Xeeres with it's one massive eye and it's large bat ears wiggled. Thorn noticed it and pocketed it.

Xeeres looked the mural over for a moment, smiling a bit at it. "It's nice Thorn. Glad to see all that paint you made me buy and make didn't go to waist." He said jokingly, laughing a bit as he spoke. "But kidding aside, I do really like it." He said with the same smile on his face. He ignored the impish thing that she pocketed. It wasn't any of his business what she was up to, so long as it didn't bother anyone else. He left his hands in his pockets as he took in the picture and spoke to Thorn. His eyes never really left the mural, it really was nice. One of the better additions they had made to the castle. The last two visits had him think about Mari. He had seen about the twins, and why not just go now before she found him like they did. Or, more accurately, Clair's pets did. He turned to Thorn and smiled politely. "Not to be rude, but is that all?" He asked. He had mentioned that he liked it, so that bullet was dodged, but leaving without checking first would be even more rude and he really didn't want to stand there all day.

Thorn smiled and nodded. "Yep! I'm happy you like it! Oh and watch out for Anubis. He's been stalking around here somewhere and you know he likes to charge." she warned and flew up to the top, hanging from it and swaying slightly. Anubis was her pet Carnive Boarak. A massive three ton boar with razor sharp teeth and an appetite that could rival an elephant. He generally wandered the castle and stayed out of the way most of the time, But every now and again he'd show up and either lick someone to death...or maul them into a gory paste, depending on how he felt.

Mari was in the basement, training tirelessly. She had improved exponentially over the year, getting faster, stronger, more alert. She was currently taking a break, several crystals were smashed against the ground and her tiny armadoggie, Dill, played with them. It was a small creature that could only be described as half armadillo, half dog.

Xeeres turned from her and sighed. "Alright, I will." He said as he walked through the air to the basement. He had learned to sense everything that happened in the castle, so he knew exactly where Mari was. He also didn't really have to walk through the halls like they did on certain occasions, though he did sometimes out of nostalgia. Walking through the air was more of a force of habit now. He was, in all honesty, starting to seriously regret letting them get pets, but it wouldn't be fair if he didn't. he thought so anyway. He walked out in the basement and looked down at Mari, then over at Dill, who was so much smaller, and for that reason more likable in his eyes, than Thorn and Clair's pets, though they had their moments. "Why can't you guys have pets like Samara's?" He asked more to himself. He looked up at Mari and smiled warmly at her. "How are you doing today?" He asked politely. He decided it would be easier to make a quick run through and check on everyone before going back and trying to get in some movie time.

Mari looked up at him and smiled. "I'm doing great! Just getting some training in is all.Are you alright?" she asked. Mari was slowly coming out of her shell more and more everyday. Thanks to Xeeres mostly. She was relatively alright with the twins, though she still had yet to beat them, they let up on her more than before which was a good sign..she guessed. Dill rolled up to Xeeres and unrolled, wagging his tail happily and licking his shoe.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 19, 2010 11:59 pm

Xeeres looked down at Dill and smiled a bit. he looked back up at Mari and smiled. "That's good. I'm fine enough I guess." He said, shrugging a bit. He knelt down and petted the strange animal Mari had for a pet. Strange to him anyway. He sat down fully as he did and sighed. "Lot's of pets and running around today." He said, giving a hint of insight into his days events. He still harbored some feelings for the older girl, which he could no longer brush off as attachment to Rose after such a period of time, though he still did nothing. Things were fine the way they were, why irritate it? He adjusted his headphones with his free hand as he continued to pet the dog-thing.

Mari nodded and smiled. "Yeah. That's nice. I saw Anubis walking around and he seemed friendly enough. He still sorta creeps me out. I don't know why Thorn had to get that thing, it's so unpredictable..." she sighed and looked to Dill. "So..how's the status on the reconstruction. Anything new?" she asked. She had been helping put here and there as were the twins.
