ll Flay ll Is it ok to do it or is it a sin because its basically sex? The Bible is silent on that topic. However, as a believer, you need to consider that your body is God's temple. Would you masturbate with Jesus present?

Ok... I searched for that topic...
Others believe that its a sin, why:
Because while guys masterbate, they release something that can become a life. I mean... you guys know about it.
And wasting that life is like commiting a murder. and, Murder is a sin! (duhh!)
That is for males, however, I don't know anything about females.
Others believe its not a sin, why:
Masterbating is not a sin because the Bible have nothing to do against it. No verse, no topic. But masterbating become a sin when, while masterbating you think about lust. and lust is a sin.
But... you also have to consider the, temple of the body. He got a point though.

~God bless !no I don't call that a sin because you can't control it when you have your period I guess the main point being made is, "it's natrual". Personally I don't believe mastrubating is a sin however, lust is. This is where we guys (and gals) need to draw a fine line between becoming addicted to our urges and controlling them. In all actuality anything has the potential to become sinful. If we let our wants--whether it be clothes, videogames, money, food, or personal pleasure-- manopolize our thoughts and actions we stop putting God first (And that's definitely a sin)

And just to clarify sex isn't a sin (if it was we'd all be screwed xd ) God gave sex as a gift to those who are lawfully and spiritually bound in marriage. It just so happens that society abuses and ignores the intention God has for it.

True, I agree. when a person does that, and again and again, they might get the feeling and their vivid imaginations go somewhere beyond the world! That's the main point of masturbation becoming a sin... Lust. But, really, Im also confused. sweatdrop

And just to clarify sex isn't a sin (if it was we'd all be screwed xd ) God gave sex as a gift to those who are lawfully and spiritually bound in marriage. It just so happens that society abuses and ignores the intention God has for it. Marriage is used by people all over the world who have never heard of God before in their life. Like random tribes in a middle of nowhere who don't know about anything beyond their own village. Marriage is a society construct so men could 'own' their women. Most religious groups make sex outside marriage a sin so people don't go around around having kids with all and sundry. But I say if you're in a committed relationship with that person go ahead, just be safe about it. Don't feel you need someone permission. Animals don't and God supposedly created them to.
