Lady of the Moons Shadow

PostPosted: Wed Jul 21, 2010 6:51 pm

wow. i haven't posted in forever. graduation, grad trip, reading percy jackson, princess academy and raised by wolves (which was TOTALLY AWESOME. and for some reason makes me crave a triple bacon cheeseburger). sooo much distractions.

anyway...i'm getting distracted...what was i talking about?...oh yea right. the connection between the moon, water, and darkness that i had thought of.

both water and darkness have no particular shape.

both the moon and water reflect light.

the moon's pull influences the tides on earth thus giving it aquas attributes.

the moon can be considered as dark because it does not create its own light.

the moon, water and darkness all change according to conditions in their enviornments.

that all i can fish out of my brain so far. feel free to post are connections between the moon water and darkness that i have missed.

also, does anyone feel they have a connection to these...um...how should i say?...forces?

i know i feel the connection. how bout you?

When I look at the moon I feel at peace and very happy. And I enjoy being in or around water. Makes me feel safe for some reason. And I prefer night to day.

Yin.

It is represented by the moon, cold, black, darkness, water, and female.

Yang is the opposite.

That's the connection I think off.

((Despite me being male, my Chinese zodiac says I'm Yin. I feel slightly awesome yet girlish. XD))

The moon affects the tides. That is the greatest relation between the two. Darkness, there isn't really a strong connection between the moon or the water. Other than the extreme darkness of the deep sea. Or possibly the shadow the moon gives off.

I can't actually see a connection between all three.

I completely agree, plus they make a romantic dinner flow a lot smooter. It's helped many times in the past.

What he said, but LanceCalvis is right. The moon affects the tides, via, water.

Yeah. The moon pulls the tides magnetically. And on a clear night with the moon out, is romantic.

I love the moon. It represents a lot.

I go with Avatar: The Last Airbender. There's a really good quote from it:
"Our strength comes from the Spirit of the Moon, our life comes from the Spirit of the Ocean. They work together to keep balance."
— Yue talking about the spirits in The Siege of the North, Part 1.

The two spirits also represent Yin and Yang.
