While looking around for the Patton Oswalt penned Serenity comic that I mentioned here (that I completely forgot to pick up because it's been foreverrrrrrrrrrrr since I last heard about it) I ended up finding this. FINALLY. WE ARE GETTING ANSWERS ABOUT SHEPHERD BOOK. ALL PRAISE TO JOSS.

Sweet, I found some more information about the comic at The Firefly/Serenity Wiki.
"Dark Horse has announced recently the release date of November, 2010 and "The Shepherd's Tale" will be a hardcover graphic novel.[2][3][4] According to Scott Allie, the three-year delay was because no appropriate author could be found to write the story from Whedon's outlines, until Joss brought his brother Zack in on the project in late 2009.[3]"

I used to look out for updates on this stuff constantly, but like it said in the wiki, it was a three year delay and I kinda zonked out. But I am SO. EXCITED.

Yay! And the Patton Oswalt one about Wash also sounds wonderful. I will be picking both of these up before the year is out.

I follow most of the cast on Twitter and it was actually a in tweet by Wil Wheaton that I first saw the Shepherd book mentioned.

Perfectly understandable Kaptain King. I might just do the same if I weren't broke. For now, I will look and drool and put it in HUGE BOLD LETTERS on my christmas list.

So who's read this so far? I picked it up recently and I like parts of it but other parts, not so much. And the art leaves something to be desired, in my opinion.

Yeah. My boyfriend's response was to shout "LIES!" after reading it. I'm not that critical of it but it does't quite mesh for me.
