History: Sachiko is the daughter and youngest child of the Wakahisa family, a now defunct clan of samurai. During the current shogun's rise to power, her family, especially her two older brothers, Akira and Takeshi, were perceived as a threat to the new government. They are both missing, presumed dead, their bodies never recovered. Shortly after, shogunate forces arrived and stormed the castle, taking the clan completely by surprise. Sachiko, a young girl at the time, was cut down during the attack, but either through a miracle or force of will, survived her injuries and escaped, broken and bloody, into the mountains surrounding what was now, technically, her fortress. She hopped from counterrevolutionary group to counterrevolutionary group, always escaping by the skin of her teeth, usually severely injured. Still, as much as she would like to die with honor, she cannot until the Shogun is overthrown, and therefore flies in the face of her idea of Bushido, running and resorting to trickery time and again.
Personality: She is usually quite hard, and takes concepts of honor and loyalty quite seriously. She shows little warmth to anyone, though she does have a more cheerful side. It is, however, very, very hard to bring her out of her shell.
Appearance: Approximately five and three quarters feet tall, with short, close-cropped black hair, narrow, intense eyes and a thin, serious mouth. She is lightly built, but wiry and athletic, and attractive in a rather sinewy fashion. She is also a complete patchwork of scars, including a long horizontal slash mark leading from her left cheek, over her nose, and all the way to her right eye.
Other Information: She has a bad habit of breaking swords. Shimmering Blade puts a lot of strain on the weapon being used.
Additionally, either due to mental strain, astral projection, or being in touch with spirits, she is often visited by what appear to be her older brothers and often stares into space when not occupied with stabbing people.
