 Welcome.
This is my official quest thread for my character Phaedra.
Take a look around I`m sure you`ll find something of interest!
And if you`ve got time, stick around for a crit.
Depending on how this goes, I will also be entering in flatesales.

Also Known As | Chinese Pheasant
Family | Phasianidae
Food | Grain found on the ground, leaves and invertebrates.
Description | The adult male is 90-105 cm in length, its tail accounting for two-thirds of the total length. It is unmistakable with its golden crest and rump and bright red body. The deep orange "cape" can be spread in display, appearing as an alternating black and orange fan that covers all of the face except its bright yellow eye, with a pinpoint black pupil. Males have a golden-yellow crest with a hint of red at the tip. The face, throat, chin, and the sides of neck are rusty tan. The wattles and orbital skin are both yellow in colour, and the ruff or cape is light orange. The upper back is green and the rest of the back and rump are golden-yellow in colour. The tertiaries are blue whereas the scapulars are dark red. Another characteristic of the male plumage is the central tail feathers which are black spotted with cinnamon as well as the tip of the tail being a cinnamon buff. The upper tail coverts are the same colour as the central tail feathers. Males also have a scarlet breast, and scarlet and light chestnut flanks and underparts. Lower legs and feet are a dull yellow.

Personality | Phaedra is a loud and boisterous individual whose primary purpose most days is to have fun. She doesn’t like to worry about things too much and tries her best to keep her friends spirits up. Exuberant, easily excitable, and impulsive, she doesn’t put much thought into her actions and does what she pleases. Phaedra enjoys making friends, even if people don’t like her, and seemingly has no inhibitions when approaching someone or asking them a personal question. Sometimes this causes her to be quite blunt, though she means well and doesn’t hate many. Her temperament could be compared to that of a protective bird. She’s accepting of most people and is very protective of her 'mother'. However, if she or a friend is targeted by another, she will attack relentlessly. Phaedra holds all of her friends in high regard and will do anything for them. A bit of a free spirit, she often ignores her responsibilities and views the circus as an adventure, rather than a job. Still, she is very competitive and wants to preform for a larger crowd then the few who fit in her mothers backyard, but also simply because she enjoys winning.

Of course, it would be hard to hide the fact that she is part bird, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxbut I'm sure I'd find a creative way to hide this fact in the future.

Personality | Mia is a little aggressive, she won't outright start a fight with someone, but will certainly end one if someone provokes her. She will get into an argument because she has to, to defend herself and what she stands for. Because of that some people think she has a bad temper, her chilly neutral tone she takes with people sometimes scares them. While she may look unapproachable, looks can deceive. First and foremost, she is a business woman, she knows how to converse with others , and she certainly won't try running away if people try talking to her. Some have called Mia a bit impulsive and reckless, even calling her someone who does things when the mood hits her; a lot of people compare her to a wild stallion. She is confident, especially around things or people she knows well. She may be angry, but she'd optimistic about being able to do whatever she wants and whatever she needs to do.

History | Mia was born on a hot summery day right in her family home in Nuan. Mia‘s mother died giving birth to her, binding her to her father. Not quite knowing what to do with a little girl, Mia's father, Eunese, tried to raise his daughter to the best of his abilities. Growing up and following her father around like his shadow, everyone could guess she’d step right up and into her fathers shoes as a blacksmith. Which she did, in fact her father had deemed her almost ready to take over the family business until his death. She hadn’t known he had died, it wasn’t until she got home and neighbors were giving their condolences about her father's heart attack. After that Mia was never the same, she became an angry teenager and sold almost all of the horses they owned, almost losing the business her father had built in the process. It didn't help that when Mia turned twenty-one, she lost her right eye in a blacksmithing incident. Hot metal went flying into her eye as she was working on a sword, she ran to her neighbors who took her to the hospital. The doctor couldn't restore her eye, and thus she now permanently wears an eye patch to cover up the scars. After the incident, Mia become far more sociable and responsible, as she started up her business again. She is one of the few female blacksmith of Nuan, and interestingly this is how she met Amerald. A strange man asked her to fix the old hinges on the door to his equally weird shop, saying he needed a female touch for the door. When Mia came back to finish up, she was offered a very interesting child, because of Mia's motherless childhood, she's decided to take the offer and bring the girl home.

Bird: The bird is good. VERY pretty. :3 I would ask if you could put some simple information (c&p maybe?) over from Wikipedia. Like, what do they act like, what do they feed upon, etc. I know it's probably in the more info section, but just a bit more basic info written so I can get a good look at the bird in one go would be great. ^-^
Child: Well, so far, the child looks good to me. The personality seems a bit choppy (just the writing style of it just doesn't flow in my head) The personality seems good to me though. Since this is just a semi-custom, you're good there.
Guardian: Her history is nice, but again it is kind of choppy. She may not be the ONLY blacksmith within Nuan, but it does suit that she will be one of very few. Her personality is good. ;3 One thing I would like to see from you (If possible. Not a necessity by ANY means) is a little RP story between the two added up there somewhere. xD I just want to get to know the two characters and how they'd interact a bit more. :3
Over All: I like it. :3 You have banners as well as artwork and it's pretty. ^-^ <333 XD You even gave stats and such. :3 Quartz is a nice one hehe. : D SO YEAH...just fix those things and you should be fine! : D

Tnau, this is MUCH better! <3 Like, I believe everything is perfectly fine now. :3 I would like you to explain just a little something more. The circus for the child. That is definitely an interesting way to go. :3 She would definitely draw a crowd. xD My only concern is that Amerald will tell Mia that it is important she keep her a secret. Will Mia listen to that and try to tell the child not to do anything rash or exposing? Or will she allow her to do most anything she wishes? :3 I don't really care either way. xD But this is just an interesting character and the history as well as personalities flow much better. :3 <333

Well for Now Mia would probably only let her do shows to other owners. She thinks the circus is way to dangerous for Phaedra XD
Plus I don't think Phaedra would disobey her mom XD Because Mia will tap her to a chair to keep her safe lmao XD
