▂▃▅▆█ɕregoir Ƀascov█▆▅▃▂ If only they knew...
The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir shook his head at her once she had declined his offer, "Melody it's the least I can do. I insulted him earlier out of anger. I feel I need to make up for it, if he is a friend of yours I am sure he is an honorable man." He said with a smile. Oh how he wanted a drink and so many other things all at the same time. His mind screamed ale, his heart told him to help Melody, and his other head... well I'm sure you can figure that one out. The odd thing was though he was acting on what his heart said. Something he hadn't done since he was a child and clung to Demetri so much. It made his stomach twist and feel even more odd, what was this feeling?
They had made it back to the front doors of the castle and here Gregoir paused for a moment, "Where would you like to go from here?" He asked not knowing where to lead her. He could go back to his bedroom but that might give off the wrong impression. In the dining room was Sara and he definitely didn't want to meet with her again. Her screaming still echoed in his mind just a bit from last time. The way he saw it there was two options at hand. They could go to her room so she could change, or go for a walk, "Do you still wish to change out of that dress Melody?" he asked with curiosity ringing in his voice. ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain
so bring me a drink... But that is a story for another time...

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x Melody sighed, shaking her head. Yes, it would be wonderful to have help, but that wasn't Melody's style. After all, if they were found out then it would be logical to only have one person..punished, than two. And while Melody had always been the odd woman out in the family, she was sure that if Gregoir got punished, it would be a rather large shock to his family. Absently, one of her hands reached up to her neck, attempting to find the pendant with her family's seal on it. When she found only her skin and remembered where that damned necklace was, she nonchalantly rubbed the back of her neck as if she were thinking.
As she was about to reply, Gregoir asked her another question, and as Melody opened her mouth to answer that one, yet another question came tumbling out. She couldn't help but to smile softly, looking at him with an arched eyebrow that asked him sarcastically if she could speak. Her lips twitched with another smile, and Melody nodded faintly as she looked down at herself and was reminded of the alcohol spill down the front of the hideous dress she hated so dearly. "Yes, actually. I'd forgotten all about it." she answered with a blink, as she had forgotten about it. She glanced toward the castle, and then, almost as if she couldn't help it, behind her at the woods. Melody swallowed hard at the thought of Isaac alone out there, but she turned her head around abruptly and bit down on her lip. She couldn't afford to look back now.

The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir nodded and opened the door for her to enter. He let her lead the way to her room since obviously he had no clue where it was. He let out a sigh as they walked though, he could really go for a drink. He was softening up in his sober state and it was just ruining his day. But he didn't mind having Melody around to help keep him sane. Hell who knows maybe she would even drink with him if he asked her to. But that was a question for later as they seemed to have arrived at her room, "I will wait out here while you change. Unless of course you need help." He said the last part jokingly but at the same time meant it. Of course he didn't show that in his voice so he didn't come off as a pervert. Which he was but she was apparently interested in Isaac... or was she? ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x Melody was quiet as they walked to her room, wrapped in her own thoughts. She couldn't help wondering what Isaac was doing, if he was safe and okay. If he was possibly thinking of her. And then the guilt settled in. After all, Gregoir was being a perfect gentlemen to her, and a good friend. She hoped that he would stay. Melody flashed a small smile at him as they climbed the stairs, pausing in front of her room. She turned around, about to thank him and tell him that she would be out quickly when he spoke. His words made her laugh and she she shook her head, not remembering the last time she'd laughed for real.
"Thank you, Mr. Bascov, but I'm a big girl now, and I'm sure I am able to dress myself. However, you'll be the first one I notify if I need assistance." she assured him teasingly, laughing a little and slipping inside her room, walking quickly to her dresser. She fumbled around in it before casting her dress to the side, pulling on a blue cotton one. It was a little tight, but it was her favorite. She exited her room not more than twenty seconds later, smiling lightly at Gregoir. "Thank you, Gregoir."
{It's okay. Sorry for the delay on mine!}

▂▃▅▆█ɕregoir Ƀascov█▆▅▃▂ If only they knew...
The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir let out his own laughter. Feeling happy that he was able to make her laugh but also at a bit of lost for not entering himself. But he shook his head, he couldn't be thinking of things like that. Sure she was beautiful and better looking than most of the women he had slept with. But she was also more delicate and dear to him than the others were. Was this a mistake after all? Befriending someone even though your first thought about them was sex? What a strange thing indeed and it sent him into deep thought. What if... what if... they began to love each other? Love!? Was Gregoir capable of love? He didn't even know the definition of love how could he be capable of it? And on top of that he was already betrothed and so was she. No, love was not possible for him. Was it? Oh Gregoir you really need a drink.
Finally Melody returned from her room wearing a dazzling blue dress... dazzling? 'Gregoir! Good god man you are going soft.' He had to think of something to get his mind from thinking of such things. But what!? Oh lord he was looking like a fool now. Just standing there after she thanked him. Not knowingly his eyes had wondered down to her chest. Great another reason for her to slap you. He had to be quick otherwise this would turn into a very awkward situation. He opened his arms and wrapped them around her taking her in a warm and comforting hug, "You are welcome Melody. It was really no trouble at all." He sighed inside his head with relief as the warmth of her body soothed him. His raging sex drive needed that touch and it wasn't causing him to freak out anymore. Finally after a few moments though he let her go, "Well where to now?" he asked with a smile doing his best to keep eye contact. ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain
so bring me a drink... But that is a story for another time...

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x The way he stared at her made her blush. That was all there was to it. Yes, she was aware that he was staring at her chest, and the fact stung just a little. Was he doing this all because of her sex appeal? Taking her as a friend because she was pretty? Mel looked away, biting the inside of her cheek. She crossed her arms in front of her torso, looking at the ground. And then his arms were around her and she yelped softly in surprise, not having seen him come toward her until he was already there. Silently she scolded herself for letting him sneak up on her. If that had been anyone else but Gregoir...she could have been dead by now. She couldn't exactly return his hug, seeing as how her arms were across her stomach and they were now pinned to his ribs. She blinked when he released her, a little startled by his sudden embrace. Mel didn't mind it per say, in fact it was a little nice to have someone holding her up, supporting her, even if it were only for a few moments.
Melody smiled a little, blushing softly as she looked at the ground. "Well, where would you like to go?" she asked him, raising her eyes slowly to his face. She didn't have a preference, as long as she wasn't alone. Surprisingly, she didn't want to be alone for once. And Gregoir was sweet, and very gentlemanly. He was a good friend, for now, and she didn't want to lose him just yet. Also, with a man like him, she was sure that he had something in mind. It made her smile a bit to herself, biting her lip softly.
( Life sucks, don't it? xD )

The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir thought where they could possibly go. He would offer his room but not only was it destroyed but that might give off the wrong impression. They had already gone out for a walk and both of them seemed to want to avoid their betroths. Oh boy he broke eye contact again that wasn't good. Damn it why did his sexual needs have to bother him now of all times? His hands twitched at his sides wanting to just take hold of her again. He dug them deep in his pockets doings his best to calm down. He looked even more like a fool without knowing where to go.
"We could um... stay here if you like. I don't think the dining hall is in our best interest. So I really don't know where else to go." Finally he broke the silence but he wished he could have come up with something better than her room. Hopefully it wouldn't give her the impression that he was trying to court her. Even if it was slightly true he didn't want her to know that, not yet at least. They were friends and friends didn't do that right away did they? What did friends do in their spare time together? Hug and talk about their problems? Hugging might not be to bad, it might lead to something more. Bleh there he went again, he really needs a drink... or the touch of a woman. ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain
so bring me a drink... But that is a story for another time...

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x Melody couldn't help but to bite down hard on her lip to prevent a giggle. She took some perverse pleasure in seeing him struggle with himself. It wasn't that she was spiteful, she just wasn't use to this. How he acted around her, well, no one had ever shown this type of behavior toward her. Absently, Melody suspected him of being a 'player'. Just how he had reacted in the stable, as if he had expected it. As if it were karma to him. It was slightly hilarious on Melody's side, though she suspected it anything but funny to him. Holding back a snicker, she looked at the floor and wrestled the smile off her face. He spoke again, answering her question, and Melody raised her eyes to look at him. He wanted to stay here? Mel considered. Her fiance wouldn't be coming up here, so she was safe from him, and Gregoir's fiance..well, let's just hope she didn't come up here. She may get the wrong idea.
Melody shrugged, smiling lightly. "We may as well go in my room. It's somewhat clean, and it will be more comfortable than sitting on the floor out here." she said, taking her arms away from her stomach to put them at her sides. While she didn't think anything of letting him into her room, she wasn't sure how he would react. She couldn't help the mischievous smile and glint in her eyes as she stared at him. "I promise I'll try my best not to seduce you." she teased him as an afterthought, hardly able to keep herself from bursting out laughing again. She arched an eyebrow at him slightly, taking a step toward him in sort of a challenge. Would he go ahead and go into her room, or would he insist to stay out here? Either one worked for her, she simply liked messing with his mind.
( S'okay, Mel has arrows x] And her sick sense of humor. )

▂▃▅▆█ɕregoir Ƀascov█▆▅▃▂ If only they knew...
The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir gave a small sigh of relief when he was accepted into Melody's room. It had been his first intention when they met. But it was slightly altered now even if he still had that something on his mind. God he was taken by her slender form. How intoxicating it was to him and mind controlling at that. He wondered if she knew the effect it was having on him or.. then she spoke again. Those words dug and tore their way inside his head. Why was she having such an effect on him? Especially while he was this sober. Well he hadn't felt a women's warmth for a day or two now. And when your used to that being an every day thing it has to dawn on you eventually. Once she took a step forward he had to grasp the inside of his pockets so he wouldn't take her in another embrace.
Finally though he was able to move and and a crooked grin was on his face as he thought of something to say. Stopping next to her he whispered in her ear, "Who says I wouldn't like it?" He chuckled and walked past her into the room she had just exited from. He was horrible at this game because he was usually the one who lost. But it was always fun for him to try and beat the other person. And so far his losing streak had no signs of changing. It was only a matter of time before he broke again and would try and try to advance on her without pushing her into it. He held no love for his betrothed and even after the marriage he would still probably sleep around. But would Melody be willing to do the same. She couldn't wake the beast without providing... never mind. He entered the room and took a seat on the edge of the bed waiting to see her response and what she would do. ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain
so bring me a drink... But that is a story for another time...

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x Melody grinned at Gregoir's teasing words. They were teasing, weren't they? They had to be. They both had fiances now. Both had expectations. Then again, what else was new? He had walked into her room and she followed him, smiling still as she kicked aside a pillow she'd thrown on the floor. She winced slightly at her unmade bed, glad her mother wasn't here to see it. However, if her mother was there, the bed would be the least of her worries. Still, though, Mel would have been lectured for a good part of an hour if her mother had seen the wrinkle in the bed's sheets. She glanced around her room quickly, gathering that there was nothing on the floor except for the pillow...and her bow and arrows. They were at the foot of the bed on the floor, the arrows still neatly in their quiver, except for one. Still stuck into the wood of her dresser where she'd shot it in anger. Right. Mel picked the pillow off the floor, chucking it at Gregoir's chest nonchalantly though she had to hide a smile. Mel then walked over to the dresser, removing her arrow and snickering at the hole it left in the wood. Sure, she'd probably have to pay for the damage to the thing, but it was so worth it.
After sliding the arrow back into the quiver and picking up her bow, she set them on top of her dresser and then sat at the head of her bed across from Gregoir. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, going over her room with her eyes again to make sure she hadn't missed anything. She hadn't, and that made her smile. Mel turned her gaze back to Gregoir, smiling lightly. "Now what?" she asked casually, bringing her knees to her chest in the most unladylike fashion. It was either disturbing or funny how she didn't even think about it.
( Well of course I did! )

▂▃▅▆█ɕregoir Ƀascov█▆▅▃▂ If only they knew...
The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir watched her as she walked around the room. He wasn't really interested in watching her clean but admiring her features. That would just be his excuse if she noticed him doing so. But soon he found her chucking a pillow at him. He didn't have time to react but it just bounced off his chest and rested in his lap. He arched an eyebrow as he finally noticed the arrow in the dresser. Maybe she was hot tempered, if he didn't play his cards right he might have one in him. He shuddered at the thought but hoped that she was kind enough to only cast him out instead of pierce his heart. He shook the thought from his mind and tried his best to not follow her with his eyes. Instead he took off his boots and set them by the end of the bed, 'Maybe this won't be all I take... No Gregoir you can't think that way... Oh what am I saying I know I want this.' He fought with himself in his head but he was slowly beginning to lose.
He laid on his side putting the pillow under his arm then using his arm to prop his head against. "Now what?" Only one thing came to mind when this question was asked. But if he even mentioned that surely he would find himself out on his a**. What could two people alone do in a bedroom besides... it? God this was turning out to be harder than expected. He had no clue what to do besides get closer to her but that would be for later, "Well um... I don't rightly know. To be honest I am new at this friendship stuff. I've never really had friends you see. But uh... I'm glad you're my friend now!" He wasn't nervous just his mind was a bit clouded with other thoughts, "What would you suggest we do?" He asked half heartedly hoping she would have something in mind similar to what he was thinking. But he probably wouldn't get that lucky. ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x Melody smiled a little as Gregoir made himself comfortable on her bed. It seemed...odd, considering she had never had a man in her bed before. Well, except Isaac, and that didn't count because he was bleeding all over. Mel sighed softly, taking the other pillow on her bed and hugging it to her. She bit her lip softly at Gregoir's answer, not really knowing how to answer it. In all truth, she was new at the whole friend thing as well. The only friend she had ever had or wanted was Isaac, and he was good enough for her. But now he wasn't here, and Gregoir was, and she wondered how she could answer him. She looked up at her ceiling, thinking. They could talk..but what about? They could play some sort of childish game..but they were both adults, and he wasn't Isaac. She sighed a little, looking back down at her lap.
Finally, it hit her and she almost jumped out of her skin. She knew nothing about the man she was sitting with. He could be an ex murderer for all she knew! Wasn't it important to ask about him? Not only important, but polite. "Well, Mr. Bascov, you could tell me about yourself if you want." she offered, arranging herself so that she was leaning against the headboard, the pillow at her side and her legs crossed. Her hand was at her neck, as her throat was starting to hurt for some unknown reason, rubbing it softly as she pondered his answer. Of course, she knew what it was like to not want to speak about your past, so she made a promise to herself that she would not make him answer.

▂▃▅▆█ɕregoir Ƀascov█▆▅▃▂ If only they knew...
The pain I've been through...
...They Might Understand me ╔════════════════╗ Gregoir was a bit surprised at her question. No one had really ever asked or suggested that to him in this case. No one had really ever cared to know about the life of Gregoir Bascov. But here he laid on the bed of a woman he had not known for but an hour or so; and she asked him the question many others had skipped over. It sent his stomach turning again and it felt like something was flapping around in there. It wasn't a bad feeling but it was certainly still foreign to him. What was it per say? He had felt it so much within the short amount of time he began to wonder about it. Oh how he hated emotions and hated them more so when they toyed with him. He had to mentally shake the thought from his mind and force a smile on his face a Melody.
"Well for starters, please don't call me Mr. Bascov. It's not that I hate it but it feels weird to me. Call me Gregoir, or Greg if you'd like." He paused her thinking hard on how he would describe himself. Should he come clean about being a drunkard who has felt the warmth of many women? Or go into his childhood and bring up old memories? so many decisions swirling in his head that it was driving him crazy without a drink. To buy some time he moved to lay his back against the headboard and sit within a few feet of her, "I hope you don't mind, my back is killing me for some unknown reason. Must've been those uncomfortable chairs at the dinner table." He let out a soft chuckle followed by a sigh. He could only think of one thing to do, it was exactly lieing but it was definitely stretching the truth, "Well I am an elf if you haven't already noticed. I am generally kind to those around me. I don't mind a drink every now and again. I once found love but it was taken from me once I was sent here. Other than that there is not much to know." ╚════════════════╝ ...and I'll wash away the pain
so bring me a drink... But that is a story for another time...

M e l o d y ██████████████████████████████████████████ x x x x x Melody was a little surprised at his apology. If that was informal, than she might as well have been a harlot. She waved away his apology with a wave, and decided against offering a massage. While it was true she was good at them, it would seem entirely too suggestive for the bride-to-be. Instead she listened to him, blinking a bit as she scratched at the sheets of her bed with a fingernail. He seemed to be the average male, but that couldn't be. There had to be something different about him - special. There was something like that in everyone. However, it took a while to recognize it, so maybe he hadn't noticed it yet. Whatever it was, Melody would find it. At the beginning, he had seemed a little hesitant. He had been stalling for time, and Melody wouldn't have that. She wanted to know it all, even though she realized that he had just met her. "I would be glad to call you Gregoir, and my apologies if I made you feel uncomfortable." she started, smiling just a little teasingly toward him. She put a hand on her cheek, leaning it against her knee to look at him. Her pinky finger rested on her lips, and she tapped her lips as if she were thinking. Of course, she already knew her question. "If it isn't horribly too much to ask, Gregoir, would you mind telling me about her?" she asked, smiling just a little. Though this smile was softer, gentler, and she wanted to let him know that she would be sentimental about it. She would not tease him. "I understand if you don't wish to tell me, I just want to be able to say your name and know who I'm talking about." she told him, studying his face for a reaction.
