Vanessa Enteri Vanessa was heading through the front door of the castle and when she did she almost ran smack dab into a man. She was about to snap at him for being so foolish but when he spoke the voice rang a bell. Looking harder at the man and realizing what he said surprise lit up her face. Within moments she wrapped her brother in a tight hug, "Valas! It has been way to long! How have you been? When did you get here? Why did you leave? Have you met anyone?" She swarmed him with questions but held onto him for dear life like he was dying or something. She couldn't help it though. In the past century she had hardly seen or heard from him. She should have been angry but she was so happy that she would finally figure out who her brother was. Of course he couldn't replace Archibald, the oldest of the family, but he would offer her some comfort.

Kingdom: Justice Rank: Heir Location: what he is doing Valas wasn’t expecting his younger sister to rush him with such an embrace. The force almost knocked Valas over. He returned the embrace of his sister smiling as he did. “I am glad to see you too Vanessa.” He kept her in the embrace neither of them seeming to want to let go; it really was nice to see her as the last time he saw her was when he was about twenty. He brushes her hair out of her face like he did so many times when she was a child. “I have had a quiet existence training in the magical arts. It was peaceful in the forest for so many years but I missed my favorite sister the most. It takes a while to get used to being out of the forest.”
Valas pauses for a moment releasing the embrace of his sister. “I left when I learned all I could and wandered for a year putting my magic to good use in villages and small towns that needed help. It was at the end of this time I ran into an arrogant assassin who informed me that he had taken our older brother’s life and that he was there to claim mine. I came home as soon as I took care of the man and was told that I was to go to this castle. Have you met our younger sister Melody? Oh, did you get my letters that I sent? I am sorry to see that our reunion is in such dark times. He holds out his arm for her to take “I Would honored if you would join me for dinner also I would love to hear about what you have been up to these last several decades.” He smiles at her while he waits.

Vanessa Enteri Vanessa listened with excitement as he spoke. His voice was so calming and soothing that it reminded her of when she spoke to Archibald. That was a good thing at least she would have that comfort again. He was such a big success and she was just the castle toy to marry off when need be. Surely her father already had plans for when that was to come about. Ulgh the thought disgusted her as she remembered what happened the last time her father found her a suitor.
As he finished up talking and asked her what she had been up to and if she had gotten his letters she wondered where to start. Since the letters were brought up she would begin there, "Letters? Ha, father must have kept them from me. The daft old man was caught up in marrying me off he never did anything for me." She said with a giggle and taking his arm as he escorted her to the dining hall. Which was only a couple yards away and they were soon inside taking their seats.
Once they were seated and their food was brought out she continued what she had been saying, "Well I found a lover. But she was taken from me." She paused to judge his reaction from that then soon continued, "I took sword and bow training from Archibald. Also I threw myself into learning magic and how to imbue it within my weapons. I have become a deadly weapon over the years. But I am still a delicate little flower." She said with a giggle before taking a bite of her food, "Oh! Yes I did run into Melody. She was with a man, a couple of men, and she was less than pleased to see me. Oh and Isaac is here at the kingdom. Father banished him and the way he talked to me... Well he spat at me with disgust and it hurt my feelings." She whimpered and looking at him with her eyes beginning to well up

Kingdom: Justice Rank: Heir Location: what he is doing Valas frowned as Vanessa informed him that her father had kept the letters he had sent away from her. He had written a letter to her every time a caravan had passed through to the tower when he was studying magic. The magus had stopped writing after two years of no response. He had thought that his younger sister had hated him for leaving her when she was still young. He couldn’t help but smile when she took his arm and giggled about their father trying to marry her off. He hoped that she would end up being happy with whomever she was paired off with or found on her own. Valas had always imagined falling in love with the woman he married but now he wasn’t sure that was possible as he was now the heir to the throne and that usually meant it was a necessity his marriage be arranged for political reasons. Valas happily went into the dining hall with his sister and sat down at the table with her.
As they sat down food was brought out, as it seemed that the castle staff had already figured out that he liked the variety of fine wines that the master of the castle had procured over his many years. The young servant poured both Valas and his sister a white sparkling wine that had been made over fifty years ago judging from the label. It seemed each meal there was a different wine to be tried and He hadn’t had a bad wine yet. He was about to take a sip when his sister said that she had acquired and lost a female lover. Valas was a little bit surprised at the declaration but he only cared for his sister’s happiness even if it meant a woman would warm her bed. “I am sorry that your lover was taken from you.” He said that with a sorrowful look. It was always hard losing a loved one. “Would you tell me about her; I would be interested to hear about my sister’s life.”
Valas took a sip of the sweet wine as he listened to his sister as she continued on with her story. He thought it was good that she had learned the use of bow and sword as he thought it was important that she had learned to defend herself. With a smile Valas said, “You are a delicate flower and I think it is marvelous that you have learned to use those weapons. I myself have learned the use of a sword but archery I am afraid is not my strong point. Maybe you would like to spar with me sometime. I can’t promise I will win but I am halfway decent with a sword.” He had a spell that would let him hit his target every time but that tired him if he used it for more than twenty minutes or so. He wasn’t sure why but he had a theory that it had to do with the concentration it required to keep the spell on the bow while actually aiming at the target. It was easier just to shoot a lightning bolt at a foe anyway required less energy as well.
Valas was angered when Vanessa mentioned Isaac spitting at her. He figured it would be good to let his temper to cool if he talked to the ex knight. It served him right to being banished from the kingdom. Valas noticed as his sister’s eyes started to water up. “Don’t cry my dear just forget about him he has had his punishment already. Besides, It makes me sad to see my younger sister cry.” With a smile, “A beautiful young woman like yourself shouldn’t be crying.“

Vanessa Enteri To be honest Vanessa was surprised that Valas was interested in her female love. The one man who knew about it killed her but her brother was interested. Was he just trying to be nice since they hadn't seen each other in such a long time? Or was he speaking the truth and actually wanted to know about her life? Of course it had to be the second one. She slapped herself in her mind for even thinking he was only trying to be nice, "Well she wasn't royalty. But she was my keeper for a few years. The night Archibald was killed she stumbled upon me while I was crying. She was very sentimental about it all. She held me, wiped my tears, even gave me a small kiss. All she wanted was my happiness and that was good enough for her. She didn't care about my status or how much money I had... she just cared... for me. But of course nothing like that can last forever for people like you and me." That was all she said on the matter. IT was still a secret to everyone that she had murdered her husband to be.
A sparring match? Why that definitely was something Archibald would have never done. He was always so protective of her and only agreed to train her never spar. But it was how he showed his love for her and it was what she needed, "Perhaps sometime, for now I just want to get to know you." she smiled up at him through her tear dotted eyes and tried to quickly wipe them away before he noticed. But it was pointless, by the time her hand was at her eyes he spoke, "You flatter me dear brother. But not all think I am as beautiful as you claim me to be. Not that I deny your compliment. Others just don't see me that way."

Kingdom: Justice Rank: Heir Location: what he is doing Valas was glad that Vanessa had decided to trust him enough to open up about her past lover. He himself didn’t have many people that he would willingly open up to his sister was one of them. She had always been his favorite sibling. He noticed though how she had cut off about her a bit abruptly indicating to him that she didn’t trust him completely yet. What arrogance you fool. You have been away for almost a century and you expect her to trust you. He smiled wistfully “I wish it were so that these things could last but with our life spans it is common that they do not withstand the sands of time. I just want you to be happy whatever that means in a mate for you.” He chuckled a little at the next statement. “I am not sure what our father would say though. I want you to know if you ever need someone to talk to I am here and I hope I can expect the same from you my dear sister.”
Valas smiled at the fact that Vanessa just wanted to get to know him. “I am glad that you feel that way. I would love to have a chance to get to know you again after all these years that I was away.” Valas took a bite of his omelet that the servants had brought him and was happy with the taste of sausage and a cheese he wasn’t familiar with. He smiled again “Please tell me what you have been doing for the better part of the last century.” he took a sip of the goblet of juice that had been set in front of him while he awaited an answer.
