i have a question i have been struggling with for about a week now and have talked with a couple ppl in the guild about it, but still wanted to open it up for descusion....
i know that God has chosen someone specific for me, but how exactly do i know when i have met them?.... im starting to think i may have met this person, but kinda doubt that it could be that easy.... then again this may be my years of panic disorders talking.... i actually met this person four years ago and some wierd things happened in that we havnt seen each other in almost 3 years.... and by some freaky has to be God working wierd events we are in contact again.
so what do yall think???

i really dont know about this one.
i wasn't saved when i met my husband.
but i do know that i was in love w/ him when we got married.
and
i love him even more now.
eventhough our main cause of arguing is God/religion. so i am always trying to watch what i say about God so i dont come off as nagging him, as Gods word teaches that a man w/ a nagging wife is better off to dwell in the wilderness.
anywho.........
i believe that you can use some basic guidelines for helping you decide if he's the one God has for you.
is he saved?
does he believe the Bible?
does he encourage you to live for God?
does he try to obey God?
it's late and i'm tired.. will add more tomorrow.. er .. later today since it's already tormorrow.

i think you should pray to God about and ask him. i think that God gives you some one to love the moment you meet them and you never part from them. i truely think that this is something you should really pray and this about. i personal don't think so, but no ones perfect and right all the time so pray. God will know. he always does.

Only you can tell the answers. Just ask God to help you find and take care for the one that is for you.
However... I do believe that even if you have your own plans and tell yourself "this is the ONE! heart " God has his own plans for you. he will change anything necessary in your plan to become his plan...
Sometimes, you will not meet "The One" in this age of 20's to 30's but instead find them in the age for 40's to 50's. ( I know, but some people found true love when the waited) You can also ask God for a so-called "Sign" to know if he is the one for you.
Sadly, there are people who waited for their "The One" but found none... they grew up old alone but is happy with their life... I don't know about those but... I think, without your "the One" or with your "The One", God have plans already set up for you! 3nodding

thanks everyone! ...such great feedback.
felt like adding some info on this sitch.... still praying and confused.... but when all this started happening with me and this person, i had no intent to go out with someone.... just recently got out of a bad relationship and i dont date much anyways and ended up dating again within a month.... just all seems unreal to me.

yea, my bad relationship... i really liked the guy, until i found out he had been lieing to me all along and cheating the whole time... didnt take long to get over someone i didnt really know...

I see I've entered this discussion too late. Well, God will reveal His glorious plan to you in many ways. Sometimes He sends you people that you are suppose to be with only for a season and then there are people you are suppose to be with for a life time. And I mean that includes friends and significant others.
Key is to listen to God's guiding not to mix them up. Hold on to God, sister. He will provide.

wow, i got god smacked.... and to those who dont know what that means, its when god shows you how amazing he is in a big way.
was talkin with a friend last night about this topic i posted weeks ago and i was feelin kinda if-y on if the guy was being real with me.... well, he is. most of the relationships ive been in ive been cheated on or lied to excessively so im wary of that type of stuff... throw in a panic dissorder and im really distant with ppl...
this is what my friend told me....
when he says that he means it. he wont say things just to say them he really likes you i have never seen him go this crazy over a girl.......he really likes you dont be paranoid he REALLY DOES....all he talks bout is you...be happy"
i was cryin after i read this....and to see him going to church again blew my mind.... especially when he told me he was thinkin of joining. wow. i need to quit with the negative thinking.... cuz ive been so blessed yet again.

yea, thanks evryone... im realy happy bout this, especially after the last guy was such a jerk...
there is more to add from last night but im way to happy hyper to sit and write it all out right now... might do it later if i remember... i swear i feel like a giddy school girl... wait, technically i still am one. starting collage on monday! goin to get my books this afternoon. talk to everyone when i know somethin worth typing.
