Do we have an exact date when you will be closing the thread for official theme suggestions? I am currently still fleshing mine out, but I want to make sure I finish it in time for the deadline.

Question: are the crew/team members in that application thread for Hosts of rooms, or something else entirely?
If it's not for Hosts, when and where do the Hosts get selected?

Yes, when the theme is picked, there is normally an announcement thread about it in the guild.
@ Robayn :
No, the current Applications are for running the committees, not the rooms. The Room Hosts are picked much later in the planning process, and are normally the people who helped out the most up to that point in the planning process.

Thanks for helping them out, Poy! I do have one thing to say about the theme announcement though: Yes, the theme will be announced to everyone in the planning guild, but not to everyone on Gaia. It doesn't matter if you tell a few friends, but usually the theme is a surprise to the Gaians when the ball opens. ♥

On a side-note btw, it usually depends on the Host if it's meant as a surprise or not. In past years we have even edited all our threads out there on gaia to tell people what the theme was so they could get their avatars ready. But last year, and apparently this year, it's more of a surprise for the Gaian people.
