I've just been reading Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes and I've been giggling whilst reading his version of little read riding hood. Quote: ...Then Little Red Riding Hood said, "But Grandma, what a lovely great big furry coat you have on." "That's wrong!" cried Wolf. "Have you forgot "To tell me what BIG TEETH I've got? "Ah well, no matter what you say, "I'm going to eat you anyway." The small girl smiles. One eyelid flickers. She whips a pistol from her knickers. She aims it at the creature's head And bang bang bang, she shoots him dead... The imagery makes me chuckle. Anyone read anything like that?

XD That's awesomely terrible. I'm a big fan of limericks, and limerickdb.com. Quote: Mechanic and Captain discuss The bomb someone set them up thus When signal they got CATS revealed his plot saying "All your base are belong to us."

Good god, that's awesome. It makes me think of Shell Silverstein a bit, but a tad more badass, in its own way.
I love twisted fairy tales like that, too. There was this kids' book I read when I was younger that was Little Red Riding Hood through the wolf's perspective, or something like that. I forget what it was called, but I remember in first grade we had to write something like it, so I wrote Sleeping Beauty through Maleficent's point of view. And I think that idea's becoming a movie soon enough. You can never have your own ideas, can you? xD

@Scraps: sounds like 'Hoodwinked' xP It is very badass though - I love it!
@Eileen: I was thinking in limmericks until I fell asleep. I hadn't realised I was doing it until I was lay in bed trying to sleep and these phrases kept repeating themselves in my head... lol.

Well, it was a book, so it wasn't Hoodwinked, but it was something like it. Hoodwinked is adorable, though.
Speaking of limericks, I remember one we once read in English class that amused me. I can't remember it exactly, but it was something making fun of evolutionists. Yes, I do believe in evolution, but the limerick was hilarious. I was hoping I'd kept it around, but I've lost it. Oh well, it was amusing.
