Let's move into the hypothetical for a brief movement.
Put aside the bibles and assume there is no God. Going on this assumption Jesus is not the son of God, and when he died he just died, no for our sins business.
But think of all the awesome things he did when he was alive.
Even if he weren't the son of God, would you still admire and look up to Jesus the Man, given all the wonderful things he did even if he wasn't Jesus the Christ?

Put aside that there is no God?
Then no. If Jesus was able to do all of the things that he did (miracles, etc.) without the power of God, then it would have been simple witchcraft or the works of the devil.

But since God formed Lucifer in the first place, I don't think witchcraft, etc. would be even possible.... Hm.

If there was no belief in God then we wouldn't know about the devil or witchcraft as being bad. So no God no Devil. As such the things Jesus did for his people were done out of the goodness of his heart not because of some satanic witchcraft or whatever.

You know there are people who don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah, but still respect and honor him as a great Prophet of God as opposed to just denying his existence.
Even if Jesus wasn't the Son of God I would still respect him as a great man. God has worked through many people not just Jesus.

I get what you are saying. Just the things he did that are humanly possible were admirable.

And like I said, No God = No devil = no witchcraft and such. So the only that Jesus could have done was preaching and anything else that a human could do.

But then that leads us to the question, what did he do other than the things he could have done through the power of God? Other than praying and such that anyone else with enough faith in him could have done? And if he did pray, who or what did he pray to if there is no God? And even then, how could he have been just a "Prophet of God" if there is no God to begin with?

I am asking all of this because your first post set the discussion on a hypothetical circumstance where God doesn't exist. Thank goodness that he does, though.

i think he might be known in history classes and stuff but no i would like him as much because he is not something i would spend a lot of time on if he weren't God and what he has done in my likfe and my family/friends life.

i would no worship him and i don't think i would have a religion if there were no God everyones life would be in fear and useless. there would be nothing to live for.

i don't like this idea at all. we would be the worst thing ever me would be killing and fighting all the time. God gave us all out gifts. to sing, act, dance, work, live, all of it!!!!!

Alright perhaps I made error on my choice of hypothetical. What if he wasn't the 'SON' of God. What if he was just a great believer. There wouldn't be any Christianity for one thing but whatever. Would he still be regarded as a great man?

Also on the subject of witchcraft and devil power.
Say hypothetically I get superpowers from the devil without realizing it. I use those powers to save lives and help people truly believing I am doing something good for mankind. Would my decision to use that power for good mean something?

On the very first hpothosis, if there was no God, then there would be nothing. The universe, more specifically Earth, is too perfect to be just a coincidence. There must have been someone or something (God) who came up with all that.

On the second, Jesus would still be a great man, and if anything, the first real saint. BUT! That is irrelivent, for Jesus is still and shall always be, the son of God, our saviour.
On a side note, nothing good will ever come from the devil. Everything he does causes pain, misery, and suffering. Considering that, if you got powers and don't know where they came from, and you decide to use them for good, then they came from God.
I'll try to find scripture to back up my case.

Thinking like that for someone who calls himself a Christian is blasphemy. Only fools say, there is no God, says the Bible. And personally, I cannot imagine my life without Jesus as the Son of God.

But yes, even if you just look at the human life of Jesus, HE was the perfect guy.

Hmm... maybe I would still admire him, but since there is no God, No devil, No Witchcraft... then its impossible that he can do those things... like rise from the dead or stuff...

-just my view... xd -
