I'd say I read faster than the average person, but not amazingly so. It kinda depends on what I'm reading.

I read the full Harry Potter Saga in four days...

And also 'Gone With the Wind' in about six hours... 1,037 pages!

I'd say I'm a quick reader? I have to read things multiple times, though, mainly because I enjoy being able to quote, but, whatever.

I'd say pretty damn fast for being dyslexic. Would've never guessed, huh? Anyways, I like to take my time reading most of the time because I read for content. About 97.% of the time now I'm reading to learn things and further expand my knowledge.

I am with Winters. I read all the Harry Potter books in 4 days. I happened to be on vacation from school. Now, I can read a book in about 2 to 3 days, but because I have to stop to work, sleep, and spend time with my hubby and son. So I can't read nonstop like I use to. I read while I eat and take a bath so that helps too lol.

I read fast enough to outpace most, but slow enough to understand what I have read. I don't read anything that don't interest me, which makes me average at school since I only like to read about different sciences (without the math) and fictional novels.

@Fairy- I know, right? But when the Twilight stuff came out, my own mother stopped attending her duties... just reading those books back to back, though it took her days. Dad tried to get me to do his laundry and ironing... but I told him that I did my own laundry, and cooked for everyone already. I'mma bad child, I told him no. :D

@Poisson- @,@ THAT put things in perspective... you're dyslexic?

Mhm, I'm quite dyslexic. The only reason few can tell is I've taught myself how to properly over come the dyslexia with various mental process that started off being way slow to remember things and over time have gotten much faster but just needing focus. No focus, such as not getting enough sleep messes completely with my focus, which means my dyslexia becomes more apparent.

Lol, how does it put things into perspective though?

not fast enough!

...you people read the Hp books in four days? ... s**t. My friends used to say I read fast... but the fastest I ever read was the sixth book in three days. ;3; I get frustrated when I read and I'm going too slow. I want to know everything about the book right then and there, without wasting the time to read it. I get so impatient... ugh. You know the feeling?

Er... Well... It has to do with the inferiority complex I'm struggling with.

But that's kinda inspiring, too. I mean, if you're able to overcome that kind of focus disorder through sheer willpower like that... it's slightly actually a hit to one's self-esteem to know you have that yet get over it. That's all.

I am about the same as Winters IceBlue and Fairy, I read all the Harry Potter Books in about 5-6 days. However, during that whole period I did still have to focus on school and my daily chores at home. I normally get through most books in a day, slower if I have immense load of crap to do.

PS. - This is a odd topic xD

Well, you shouldn't worry if you haven't over come your problem. I'm a unique case in the simple fact that four several years after my family moved to a knew town I was essentially shunned for no reason and as such had no friends, which means no distractions annd no real other distractions either. I had nothing but time to over come it, spent a large majority of that time as well self-studying on a large array of topics.

However, that's not the case for a lot of people. A lot of people have distractions around them where as for me there were few and most had friends to occupy free time ,where as I had virtually none at that point XD Of course, not many realize how to actually over come their problem because they fail to fully recognize how the disorder is effecting them and what it disrupts.

I don't know how fast I read, since I'm normally reading 3 to 4 books at a time, and it sometimes would depend on the interest I have in which books.

I am probably the slowest reader alive. I'm not one for reading unless it's a manga I like.

I think I'm a pretty fast reader.
My reading speed can vary from 1 to 3 days. (With inch-thick books anyways. Depends if I'm really into the story.)
