Zeke had found himself this morning in a field of grass- pretty tall grass, like, shoulder-high grass. He wondered why he had stopped here last night and chalked it up to not being able to see it so well. He must have figured it was shorter than it actually was. He was hungry, though, and so he decided to go on a hunt. However... Well, when hunting, the last thing you want with you is your trusty stick. It disables your mouth, and dropping it is often quite conspicuous. So, to solve this problem, Zeke took that stick and stabbed it into the ground sideways so it was standing up vertical. He figured he'd find it easily after his hunt.
Happily carrying a squirrel back to the location of his stick, Zeke took a look around for the brown being. However... His stick was... nowhere to be found. The scent of blood was so heavy in his nose that he couldn't smell it, and he certainly couldn't see it. He was highly distraught, and started searching for it, muttering unhappily under his breath.

Femi had been wandering around for sometime in the field when she caught the sent of another dog nearby. She set off in it's direction hoping that it would be nice enough to let her tag along with them for a little while. She found a stick not too far from where she had started sticking nearly vertical out of the ground. She sniffed around the area trying to find it's owner and wonderd why anyone would do such a thing.

"Oh well isn't this just great," he asked, dropping his kill in hopes of getting the scent of his catch out of it. He sniffed around at the air, but his nose was still covered with that scent. It was really a delicious scent... He wondered if he should eat now before he attracted too much attention, then go in search of his stick....
There was no good way to tell, really, which would be the ideal order, but he decided that eating first would be better. He took a sizable bite and chewed it, happy with the flavor, but something was wrong. Not with the squirrel, but with a sound that he'd just caught... someone was nearby. He rose and gulped down that bite, keeping his ears open. Yeah, it was definitely something bigger than prey. "Come out," he said firmly, keeping his attention on the area all around him. He hoped... It was only one dog.

She could smell a fresh kill better as she turned towards the direction of the voice."Hello?" she said holding her head above the grass.
