Welcome to the pride!
Since you're here, that must mean that you've recently been accepted into the pride! Congratulations! On your first visit there's a few things that you should know.
First off this pride does not function like most prides. No, no. This pride is all about unity and consists of multiple happy families. There is one main family with two other families at this time. It operates like Countries and states, really. You can only have one country, but you can have multiple states within that country, all with leaders that report to the main leader. Thus the pride has one main family and two families that both follow the main family.
Despite their current happy unity, squabbles have been known to occur within the pride, which tends to happen if an upstart cub thinks they can take over. The only way to win leadership of one of the families is through combat ( hopefully not to the death ) or by election should a leader choose to step down.
All matings must be approved by the leader of the pride to make sure that they are good for one another ( Don't worry, he's never said no before! ). Celebrations are held for happy couples who have found their soulmates! Also, any couple that produces cubs is capable of becoming their own family if they wish it.
Seems so wonderful and peaceful doesn't it? What's the catch? Well, there's always strife, always differences, as is natural in a lion pride. Males fighting over females, females bickering over their cubs. Jealousy abounds everywhere so it is best to watch your back withing the pride, because you never know what could be used against you...
