wow. was just told by a friend the following....
"(15 years old) was on his way home last night around 10pm and got shot five times with a 22mm gun, which doesn't even really qualify as a gun. From what I heard, he got shot once in the head, once in the chest, and three times in the stomach. People saw him crawling home because he was still alive and then apparently he ended up dying at the hospital."
wow.... im still in shock that stuff like this happens where i live... i live in a smaller town in southern il. 5-6 hrs south of chicago and an hour east of st. louis.... the rival gangs love to use our town to do their dirty work... which isnt great for our town....

unfortunately i didnt know the guy, so i didnt know if he was saved or not.... and its ok to rant, i dont really care bout that. i think its wierd tho that our church watched second chance last night.... if you've seen it ud know why....
cant help but think tho how unssafe it is where i am.... last night i wasnt even allowed to walk home from church on my own when i lived right next to the church b/c everyone knows that kind of stuff happens.... jordan kept joking saying id get shot goin home... which may not sound like one but in the context at the time was because we didnt know about the gang shooting at the time....

When I hear things like that I literally cry. I am crying now as I type these words. I don't know what to say except I'll pray for his family and friends. I am so sorry.

It is safe to say that the world has become closer when it comes to violence. There is clearly something wrong here.
My heart goes out to those who are hurting from those violence.
