You step through the door and suddenly find yourself falling, down...down...down...hundreds of thousands of feet and finally you land on the ground, but your unhurt. You stand up and your not even scratched! You begin to wonder how this could happen, when you notice your surroundings. It's the middle of a forest, or at least you think it's a forest...there are no trees. Where the trees should be there are strange twisted poles towering up into the great stormy sky. Their silver and black stripes match the clouds above and the burnt ground below. You wander dased through this strange place and come to the edge of a cliff. It begins to rain, but the rain is red. You can look down and see the sea...but there is no water. It's a sea of blood. It crashes against the cliffs staining it dark red. Suddenly the earth begins to quake beneath your feet, and you spin around. Behind you rises a strange creature that is the owner of the tentacles you saw earlier. It goes up, up, up larger than you thought possible. A small girl slides down from it's head. She reaches the gound and lands lightly. In an erie voice she cackles "You can never be hurt here, nothing can. If something is broken it will come back. Time is still here, making it eternally cloudy and always dusk. Everything in this world balances, the scales must not tip in either direction. Good luck trying to get out, because as long as I want you here, I won't tell you how to find the exit." You glance back at the door you fell from, but it vanished. "Welcome to my world, friend. This, is the Equinox."

yeah. i liked it a lot. love tim burton, and lewis carrol's stories. they worked well together. i dont get why everyone thought it was supposed to be the adventures of alice in wonderland. the movie made it pretty clear that its what happened after both the books

Sorry if you don't mind me butting in... Alice in Wonderland was really call the the Adventures of Alice in Wonderland thanks to the original author. He was obsessed with a 7 year old girl... the Smithsonian did a big article about it because of some thing or another. The character Alice was based of the 7 year old who was named Alice. But really no one reads his version any more its always the Disney version now... He used to take pictures also... The most famous picture of Alice was done by him. She was dressed as a beggar. Her white dress had been torn to pieces...
But as to your story line I think its excellent. Keep it up. =) Again sorry I'm just exploring and can't help myself when some thing catches my eye.

Leet speak ( aka 1337 5|D34|< ) is a method of writing using no letters, only numbers and special characters. leet also uses extended words, most commonly it seems like "5(_)><0|22" (suxorz [think sucks + zors]) and using "73|-|" (teh) in place of "the", as well as words like "|D//|||)" (or pwnd [pronounced like "owned" but with a p, so "poned"] which comes from a misspelling of the word "owned" as used in the phrase "You just got OWNED!" meaning "You just lost by a severe amount"). It is uncommon to find someone who uses full leet, most using letters here and there, speaking standard english, or a mix of both. Some go completely half-assed and use only the most common replacements, and sometimes think that leet is only replacing vowels with numbers.

A tim burton wizard of oz, doesnt the nightmare before christmas fit that? lol he falls down christmasses hole instead of a rabbit hole though.
But if time doesnt exist here our memories of this place would be one image or something that is insanely complex once we got out.
