Ok people, question: How would/ do you deal with a death/ dying person in the family? I know what Scripture tells me, yet there is still my human self and feelings.

My sweetie's father is very sick in the hospital and is pretty much pending between the will to get better and "put me in a grave" talk (depending on the day). Needless to say it is quite difficult on the family.

Any thoughts?

Death is a hard thing to cope with.
Here is a website with some scripture to help you deal with it. Mourning is natural, but I think it is important to understand that their body is all that dies, their spirit moves on to be with God. I think sometimes that loved ones become guardians and guides to help you in life and pray for you in Heaven. I hope he gets better though.

I'm sorry that your gf's father is still ill. I will continue to pray. Death is a very hard thing to deal with. For the one that's dying and for their loved ones. I watched a VERY close friend of mine die of a very rare and debilitating disease. It was a long horrible process. She was soo very brave though and she was a Christian. she harldy ever complained though she was in pain in every second for the last three years of her life on earth. I was with her at the moment she exhaled her last breath. I think knowing whether or not the person is a Christian or not helps but it doesn't stop the heartbreak because we ARE human. I'm sure God shed tears as His Son died such a horrid death for all of us. I tried to imagine what His pain must have been like and told myself my pain could never equal His. I really don't have any sound advice just my own experience. I'm sorry. Peace and Blessings to all of you. heart heart

I know what you feeling.
Especially when you are outside the Country and suddenly you will suddenly get a Phone Call concerning your most loved one to be... already...
Its shocking, but yes, Death indeed is a hard thing to cope with, but we should always understand that People come and Go with some reasons... and that we all die...
Two most close people are, well, with the Lord now...
and I have a hard time getting to cope with it...
But, always remember, Life must Go On... 3nodding
I really wanted to say something Nice...
but sorry, I can't offer anything sweatdrop
But only Prayers and wishes that your Sweeties Dad will get well. =)
