In his shadow fighting, Kenichi visualised both Arrancars and Shinigamis facing off against him. He ducks under an attack, rising him and slicing through his opponent. He blocks another sword and pushes back, decapitating the foe. He twisted around, sending another imaginary enegy flying with a round kick, pretending to fire a cero as he did so. He continued to move quicker, slashing harder. Pushing himself to see how far he could go before the mask broke.

Kenichi felt he needed to increase his output. He held his blade before him. 'Howl into the black of night! Hakumeiyajuu!" he shouted, his spiritual pressure skyrocketing as it mingled with his hollow powers. He growled, holding the large blade in his hand, as he felt the strain on his mask. Good, when the release happened, the mask didn't crack. He was getting better at this. He swung Hakumeiyajuu, sending a wave of spiritual energy crashing into the various stone rigges within the basement compound. He continued with is shadow fight, striking out at invisible foes.

As he continued, his mind went back to what had happened in town, when a grand rey cero was fired into the city, killing several that were trapped in the buildings. His anger grew and so did his pressure. He howled, yelling "Hakumeikensho!!" send a wave of energy through a large boulder and splitting it in half. The pressure was too great, and his mask shattered. He panted, feeling his now bare face as a cold sweat streaked down the side. ".....I lost my concentration," he muttered. He sneered as he sealed his Zanpakuto away, making it vanished. He looked back, seeing Loyden and his little pug companion. "You two been here the whole time, I take it?"

Kenichi sighed. "The problem is the control of my spiritual pressure. It tends to get out of hand when I lose control of my emotions." He looked to his boss. "The events that happened recently doesn't help much either." He walked over grabbing his jacket. "It's difficult at times," he contemplated. "But I just have to deal with it."

Kenichi materialised his blade in time to block Loydem's strike, getting pushed back because the extra power of his mask. He skid backwards, clawing into the ground with his hand, his blade clutched tight in the other. He looked out at Loydem, sighing. "Not gonna let me leave yet, are you?" he said, then grinned. "Alright boss, I guess I can give it another go." He lifted his hand to his face, summoning his mask, as the ground gave slightly. He rushed at Loydem, lashing out to strike at his left side.

Kenichi raised his hand, pushing at the energy as it shoved him backwards, grinding into the ground. He twisted his arm, flinging the energy away from him. Seeing Loydem rushing towards him, he readied his zanpakuto, lifting it to block the strike. He felt his spiritual pressure gradually increase as the blades locked. "That all you got, boss?" he said, curling his free hand into a fist and striking to punch Loydem in the gut.
