Hey guys, it's come to my attention that our guild really doesn't have a set of actual rules. At first they really weren't needed since our guild was so teenie-tiny, but now as we begin to grow I think it's best if I set up some guidelines to make sure our lovely EoG runs smoothly. ALL NEW MEMBERS, YOU *MUST* READ THESE!
RULES!
1. Play nice! No personal attacks, insults, etc. If you have a disagreement that's fine, but if you start getting snotty I'm going to have to step in and be the mediator.
2. No adult material. I think that's pretty self-explanatory, and I kind of doubt we will have any problem like this here.
3. No spamming! That's what the Chatterbox is for, guys. If you're desperate for gold, head on over there, NOT HERE!
4. Respect the decisions of the mods If you have had one of your threads deleted, please feel free to PM me if you believe the thread was wrongly deleted. I won't bite, if you've got a problem PM me! 3nodding
5. No advertising/begging. If you need gold for a quest or something like that, head over to the Charity Forum. There's plenty of people over there who can donate to you, NOT here. THIS ALSO INCLUDES ADVERTISING OF ANY SORT. FOR OTHER GUILDS, WEBSITES, WHATEVER. NO ADVERTISING. PERIOD.
6. Try and keep your threads about why EoG was created, to talk about HORSES! It's alright if a few posts get off-topic, I don't mind that. But don't make a habit of creating threads that have nothing to do with horses. If you want to talk about general stuff, check out the General Discussion.
7. People, use your common sense. I wouldn't have let you guys join this guild if I thought ya'll were stupid. I'm glad to have you guys here, and I believe all of you are fully capable of making good decisions.
8. For the most part, Gaia rules and the ToS apply here. No porn, no cybering, and keep the foul language to a minimum.
9. plz do not type leik dis. Personally it gets on my nerves to NO END, and it's just difficult to read in general. Of course I don't mind if your spelling and grammar isn't incredible, but just the basic grammar, capitalization and puncuation are required.
10. -NEW RULE!- Decent grammar and spelling is expected. This is kind of an add-on to rule 9, but I find it very important. Please try to make sure you capitalize, use punctuation, and spell correctly. If you're unsure, use Spellcheck in Microsoft Word or something. This is a pet peeve of mine, so PLEASE PAY HEED TO IT.
11. READ THESE RULES! READ THEM! RIGHT NOW! xp
Thanks so much for keeping these rules in mind guys, the last thing I want to do around here is rule with an iron fist. So just use your common sense, keep these basic guidelines in mind, and we'll keep thriving and growing as the Equestrians of Gaia! smile

Thanks for doing this. smile Now I know how to best not make a complete a** of myself. I hope no one's done anything against the rules so far. O.o I don't think I've seen anything. Anyway, hopefully things will stay nice like the way they are now. Yay. 3nodding

I am glad that you put the rules and regulations. But there is one small problem. I am very glad that you accepted me in your guild. But I have a real hard time with spelling so if you could not juge me too harshly.Thanks.

Morgy25: That's fine if you're not an awesome speller, just try your best to keep the spelling and captialization mistakes to a minimum. If you want, you can use Microsoft Word or any word processing program to spellcheck your posts before you post them.

I've noticed alot of spelling and puncuation mistakes from many of the mebers, it's almost killing me and you can tell some of it is just lazyness. If we see people making lots of grammar errors repeatedly, could we give them a warning or something? It's driving me nuts! stressed

I totally agree. It's not possible not to know if you spell the word "the" like "eth," yet it happens alot. C'mon, people, use what your teachers taught you!
