Ella FarellRock of ages, cleft for me. . . It was the night after the dinning room fiascoe, the one where Ella had been ridiculed and tormented by Sara and Trey Bellrose.
The afternoon and evening of the incident consisted of Ella sobbing and sulking in her quarters while servants from Vertias's staff and the other Kingdoms consoled her. Dinner that night had passed with out incident other than the fact that a few of the royals were going to be married off. One of those was Sara Bellrose, and Ella was completely thrilled to have seen Sara pout and whine over the annoucement. However, Ella did feel sorry for the poor man who was being forced to be with her, a man from Prudence she believed. Ella hadn't remembered his name because she was to busy relishing Sara's misfortune.
As dinner ran on into night and then into the next day, Ella had made it a priority to avoid the Hubris children, at all costs. Chores and duties involving any potential contact with the royals was put on the back burner until she knew they were out of the vicinity.
And so the day after her unfortunate confrontation passed without much hassle, until night came; Ella could not sleep. The young woman had so much on her mind still that it kept sleep from finding her. Unable to stay still any longer, Ella got up and slipped on a pair of old slippers that she had brought to the castle with her. Not bothering to find a robe, Ella went outside in her night gown, which happened to be a white cotton dress with long sleeves that billowed out at the ends. The front had dark brown ribbons around the neck line, which tied into a bow in the center of the chest. After wandering out of her room, Ella found herself at the castle gardens. There she stopped to sit on a stone bench which was illuminated by the moon. Thinking herself alone, she began to sing softly.. . . so that I may hide myself in thee.

The day after Veritas had made the marriage announcements Valas was still a little bit annoyed that the two arrogant fools Trey and Sara had ruined the breakfast with the enchanting Ella. In his opinion Ella had more class then their whole family. The Prince’s brooding had started to wane on his morning constitutional. The forest he surrounding the castle was sprouting with life. The trees had a calming effect on him and Valas spent hours upon hours just wandering around.
That night Valas couldn’t sleep thoughts of Ella had kept him awake. The prince elected to take a stroll. The silence of the night was overwhelming as he walked through the halls. Every so often a servant cleaning would pass by and shatter the silence. As his restlessness grew he walked out into the night. The Castles garden came into view and Valas heard soft singing and his gaze lifted to see Ella in the garden sitting on the bench.
As the prince walked closer he saw the beauty that was Ella. Valas felt his face flush a little bit. Ella was in a white night gown with brown ribbons tied into a bow right at the breast. His flush deepened when he saw how low cut the dress was. The moonlight shone on her sitting form enhancing her beauty.
He stops walking in front of Ella and smiles at her. “Good evening milady. What brings you out here on such a lovely night? You look lovely tonight.” His smile deepens at the last comment.

Rock of ages, cleft for me. . . The tune Ella was singing was soft, almost like a lullaby. When she heard rustling, Ella clipped her song short and looked up. She was expecting to see a forest animal, or some sort of critter that called the garden it's home. However, she did not expect to see a man, especially a man she knew and when she was in nothing but her night gown.
"Lord Valas!" Ella squeaked as she jumped up. Her face matched a nearby flower, which happend to be a brick red. Looking for somthing to hide behind, Ella could only find giant Hibiscus plants with several large orange and yellow flowers. Scurrying behind the orange monster of a flower that was directly behind her (which came up to her neck and was wide enough to hide her whole frame), she peeked over the top to look at Valas. "What are you doing out so late, Sir?" her voice was quiet out of embarassement, but also because she did not want to wake those above her. . . . so that I may hide myself in thee.

Kingdom: Justice Rank: Heir Location: what he is doing Valas’ face went from a pale shade to a deep crimson at the thought that Ella might think he was spying on her in her shift. As Valas’ thoughts wandered to the view that the low cut shift provided his blushing deepened. “I am sorry my lady I didn’t mean to intrude. I couldn’t sleep and I was out here for a walk and I heard a lovely voice singing and I was drawn to it.” He noticed the ridiculously large Hibiscus flower that Ella was hiding behind. The flower was just big enough that it covered her all the way too her neck. “Please don’t hide on my account your beauty shouldn’t be wasted hiding behind a plant. Since we are both out here would you care to join me for a stroll in the garden?”
Valas looked up at Ella noticing that the moonlight shone upon her radiating her blue hair. Her face looked as red as his had been only moments before. The young prince took a tentative step toward the orange flower and hesitated before walking around the flower that Ella was hiding behind and held out his hands for the young woman to take. He gave her his best charming smile that he could muster and said, “I would be honored if you would join me.”
