Bird Type: Harpy Eagle - Harpia harpyja

Coloration: The upper side of the Harpy Eagle is covered with slate black feathers, and the underside is mostly white, except for the feathered tarsi, which are stripped black. There is a black band across the chest up to the neck. The head is pale gray, and is crowned with a double crest. The plumage of male and female is identical.

Appearance:

~ Eyes: Bright Purple with a rather soft look to them

~ Hair: Brunette in color, falls in waves down her back to a few inches above her waist. It is often seen up in various ornate hair styles.

~ Skin: She looks as though she doesn't often step out into the sun so she her skin is quite pale though not unhealthy.

~ Clothing: Beautiful dresses made of expensive fabrics that are more often then not either soft pastels or white in color. She wears nylons the same shade as her skin tone and high heels to make her a touch taller.

Personality: From the outside it would seem as though she is every inch a lady both in look and in the way that she acts. She was well trained by her mother to be someone who doesn't move to quickly, doesn't talk to loud or out of turn, and is one who appears to be sweet over all. In truth though Brinna is a bit on the lonely side, having gone from a bustling house hold back home to one that is empty aside from herself and a few servants as Auberon, her husband, is often away on business.

It is likely due to the loneliness that she will end up with Arnau in the first place, an attempt at filling the household with life though she will deal with such an active child is anyone's guess. Arnau will cause her all sorts of stress with all of the trouble he is bound to get into and the injuries that he is sure to get which will force her to change from playing the part of the perfect lady and wife to taking on all manner of other roles such as mother, nurse, and playmate. As she isn't exactly the most useful of people when it comes to things outside of her realm of knowledge it will all be as new to her as it is to Arnau, leaving the pair to learn a lot of things together since basically anything outside of the house is beyond her and he would be new to the world.

Within her home she will be slightly better off as she is at least able to cook simple meals, make a good cup of tea and various other skills like playing the flute that wouldn't likely impress a young boy who would rather be out causing mischief to terribly much.

History: She was born as both the middle child and the only daughter of a good sized family. As the only girl she ended up over protected and more then a little sheltered by both her parents and her many brothers. She was taught by her mother the skills that one needed to be a good wife to her future husband but aside from that she is lacking in any skills that would help her in at any other task in life. She would be especially terrible at anything that would force her to get dirty or have to deal with lifting anything heavier then a tea kettle.

Brinna was married quite young to Auberon, as in within days of her coming to age, she has since had a rather easy and rich life in which everything she wants was given to her without question. She could have ended up quite spoiled and yet she has been able to remain her same, sweet self despite all that has been given to her since that day. Their marriage wasn't to much of a shock to anyone in her home town when she was married and swept off to another city by the business man since Auberon had come to arrange the marriage with Brinna's parents years before. The suggestions of the arranged marriage seemed to come after a few successful business ventures between Auberon and her father. It seemed as though the two men hit it off during their time working together and her father it seemed wished to have him as a part of the family.

As for what her mother thinks of it she wasn't the biggest fan of marrying off their only daughter to a much older man that the girl knew little about but allowed it due to Brinna's agreement. The young woman hoped that it would end up in that fairy tale sort of way with her and her husband falling in love and having their 'happily ever after'. The problem being that Auberon wasn't looking for a wife to settle down and half a handful of children with, in fact to his sharp mind it appeared that at his age what he needed was someone to play the part of wife for the sake of appearances. As such while they get along they are also playing the roles as actors might instead of actually doing what married couples do. They have different rooms, different lives, and it can be at times a touch stressful on Brinna who is a little uncertain of what she should be doing for him.

Other: The decision of bringing Arnau into their family will be something that Brinna decides on her own while Auberon is away from home. It won't be the best of decisions on her part but I doubt that she would be thinking very far in advance or about the consequences of her actions. Instead what she would thinking would be silly, childish things such as how bored and lonely she is on her own, how she wants someone to take care of as she'd seen her mother take care of their family. It will mostly like be one of those split second decision that will lead to all manner of problems down the road especially when Auberon gets home.

Home: I was looking through the information on the various towns, what is in them, and what is around them. Given the sort of character type that Arnau will become as well as what his Guardians are like I was thinking that having the Lior household found in Nuan would work out best. There is a forest for Arnau to learn hunting and the rivers to fishing in if he decided to take that hobby up. I find it hard to see him fishing given that it usually involves a lot more patience then I see him with. Unless he attempted to spear fish or hand fish... He might not succeed but at least he would find it fun then sitting around watching fishing line all day. As these are things that I know that Arnau would be interested, as well as getting to climb up in the large trees of the surrounding forest, I thought that the environment was perfect.

On top of that in the description there is mention of the richer neighborhoods where their home could be located since his parents are pretty well off where money is concerned. The idea of him playing in the backyard, likely one that has a high fence around it, where he could see the forest over the top of it gives me ideas of him escaping from his home to go off and play. His guardian will likely end up having a fit when she discovers him gone time and again and would end up trying to figure out how he is getting out since to begin with his wings would be to small to give him the ability to fly over the walls.

Through the use of the tram system that is present and connecting the towns Auberon would easily be able to go from place to place for business purposes. Though I am starting to think there is something else keeping him away from home other then just business, especially if the trams allow you to get to and from places in a matter of hours. I will need to think more on this budding idea though to figure it out more in depth.

~ An extra post for anything else that comes up or comes to mind information wise that might be useful to the quest for Arnau.

Information added for where the Lior Family lives as well as some work on fleshing out Brinna's character. Came up with an idea or two for Auberon as well but they require some thought to really figure out. Not super important so that information will be worked on at a later date. <3
