xxx Phibrizzo glanced over his shoulder at the two when they appeared, his green eyes narrowing slightly. "I came here to be alone." He growled, although he was acting as if all the bodies weren't lying there, scattered around the ground, which was a bloody mess by now. "Go away."
Cerras's golden-yellow eyes widened at the Hellmaster's behavior, her brows furrowing in sadness. No wonder she felt so strange. This whole time, the Hellmaster had been killing things, and being his mazoku, he couldn't help but tell that something was wrong. She pouted when he told her to go away, bowing her head slightly. She was glooming so much by now, she didn't even notice Xellos right beside her.

[[Xel: Well if you can't say the reason, then it's not a very good one... ^^ ]]
Xellos wasn't as bothered by the scene as Cerras was. He'd seen this level of gore and carnage many times back during the height of the Koma War, so he'd been desensitised to it early on. Even so, he couldn't deny that the amount was still a bit surprising. Since Lazuli had joined them, Hellmaster hadn't behaved in this manor. "We're here in place of Lazuli. She's been worried." he explained, hoping that mentioning Lazuli would do something to calm the child lord down. What he couldn't understand, is what happened to set him off this much. Lazuli was never one for arguing. It didn't make sense for this much bloodshed to be over her.

xxx Phibrizzo's eyes widened at Xellos's mentioning of Lazuli, but then he simply shook his head, "She can be worried." Phibrizzo hissed, kicking an already dead human body that was lying on the ground. They flew into a wall, and when he heard the cracking of bones, he smirked in amusement. Ah, he loved that sound. "She didn't seem to mind not being with me before. She can stand a bit more time alone." The Hellmaster glanced over at the bloodstained wall beside him, not seeming bothered by it in the least.
"But... you have to stop this..! Lazuli wouldn't want---" "SHUT UP! Why would I care what she wants...? " Lazuli didn't understand, obviously. This. was. him. He was the Hellmaster after all, when he got angered or bored, he did this. If she couldn't understand that, then so be it. Maybe he should just forget about her. Cerras frowned, biting down on her lower lip. Maybe she shouldn't speak, every word just angered Phibrizzo, she was almost afraid what would happen if she spoke even further...

Something wasn't right. He should've asked Lazuli more questions before coming to the fortress. Then maybe he would know what was going on with Hellmaster. His behavior had improved greatly; it had been a rather convenient change. It'd made it easier to work with the lord. But now. "You'd really be fine if she was terrified of you?"
[[I'm really tempted to put Lazuli in here. Just to add to the drama... ^^;]]

xxx Phibrizzo curled his hands into tight fists, closing his eyes tightly. "SHUT UP!!! JUST GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" he was trembling, Xellos had really hit a weakspot, he didn't want Lazuli to see, but he also couldn't stand changing himself so drastically like that. Cerras shook her head, her brows furrowed. "He... he doesn't want that, Xellos.... " The silver-haired mazoku informed, able to sense the Hellmaster's emotions. Phibrizzo's eyes widened, and he shot Cerras back with a blast of magic. "S-Stop acting like you know everything! Leave me alone!!!" He bowed his head, and that was when Cerras gave a weak smile. "But... you shouldn't be alone." She muttered softly, only angering the Hellmaster even further. Although, it wasn't on purpose.

Xellos barely managed to deflect the attack aimed at Cerras; it required a bit of creativity, since Hellmaster was so far above his own magic level. And it didn't help that he was currently stuck as a mortal. Being Lord Beastmaster's prized servant only protected him for so long. As he debated what to do next, he then sensed another aura within the fortress. He should've known that this would happen. "Very well." he said, gently taking hold of Cerras's arm, and motioning for her to follow him. She's here... he told her through telepathy. Lazuli followed us to the fortress. And it doesn't seem like she's having a fun time.

xxx Phibrizzo watched as they left, he was a bit bothered, sensing Lazuli's presence in the fortress, but he simply walked in the opposite direction. As long as he didn't run into her, everything would be fine... that was what he thought. Still trembling, the Hellmaster bit down onto his lower lip. Why did he care? He shouldn't care... he never did... all of these feelings were so... strange...
Cerras followed after Xellos, it wasn't like she was totally uneffected by the attack. It hit her shoulder, it wasn't bleeding, but it definitely had something wrong with it... whether it was bruised, or if she had broken a bone. Yes... I know... we can't let her get near Hellmaster at this point, he's unstable... even if he's against it himself, he may hurt Lazuli... She knew Phibrizzo very well, he could be pretty childish, doing something horrible and then wanting to take it back. But if he did that, hurting Lazuli... he couldn't take that back! He could kill her if he wanted to.

Xellos nodded in agreement. We'll have to hurry. She's probably trying to find him. Maybe to apologize for whatever she did to make him mad. She's just like that. Learning how Lazuli's mind worked was not a hard thing to do. If she did something wrong, even if it was almost nothing, she always went to apologize not long after. And if she found Hellmaster before they got there, things would no doubt go bad.
Lazuli wandered along the dark corridors, arms wrapped around herself and trembling. To say she was scared was an understatement. She'd never seen a place like this before; it was definately going to be visiting her in a nightmare later. "Hellmaster? Cerras? ...Xellos?" she called out, her voice cracking from fear. She shouldn't have done this. She shouldn't have left Juri. Where were they? There only seemed to be three auras besides her own. While she was lost in her thoughts, she tripped over something and fell in front of one of Hellmaster's victems. She let out a blood curdling scream and then scurried away from the corpse. Her breath was caught in her throat, and she felt like she was going to be sick. She couldn't get that face out of her mind.

xxx Yes, we have to find her...!! Worry for Lazuli was evident in Cerras's tone. Her heart was pounding, and due to the rubble scattered around every here and there, and the stench of blood, she couldn't focus so well on the girl's presence. The silver-haired mazoku ran ahead, going towards where she heard a voice, that was when she heard a blood-curdling scream and sped up. "Lazuli!!" She shouted.
"Hellmaster? Cerras? ...Xellos?" Lazuli's voice, followed by a scream irked him, Phibrizzo punched a wall angrily. It all ended with a hole in the wall, and a bloodied fist. It was Cerras and Xellos's fault, if they would have never came, Lazuli wouldn't be here right now. The Hellmaster's green eyes narrowed, and he began casting spell after spell, making holes in the walls. It wasn't like he cared. The place was in pieces anyway...

Lazuli had already moved on; running blindly through what she now saw as Hell. No matter where she went, it was just blood and more horrible deformed faces. She felt like they were all watching her, either out of envy that she was still alive or warning her to stay away. Then she heard footsteps, and started running faster. It was bad enough seeing them; she didn't want to see that they were after her now too. Suddenly her feet left the ground, and she felt herself fall. Instinctively she flailed her arms, trying to save herself, and grabbed onto part of the floor above. She squeezed her eyes shut, not wanting to look around at what could possibly be beneath her.
Xellos had been sending waves of energy ahead of them, to help them navigate. "Be careful! There's a large hole coming up!" he warned, and then heard another scream from Lazuli.

Cerras's heart pounded faster and faster by each second, first because of hearing that they were going to fall into a trap, and also because of Lazuli's scream. She shook her head to Xellos's warning, about to jump in to grab Lazuli, but a childs figure was already helping Lazuli out of the hole. It was... the hellmaster? "... Sorry." Phibrizzo mumbled, it was all he could say. He teleported out of the hole before they could hit the bottom, appearing in front of Xellos and Cerras. He set the girl down, before going to walk off.

Lazuli wasn't aware that the Hellmaster was helping her; she wasn't aware of anything. Her mind had shut down so she wouldn't continue thinking about what she'd seen her. It would've probably made the girl lose it. She remained on the ground where Phibrizzo had put her, staring blankly at nothing. She probably wouldn't be able to put two and two together until later. So for the moment, Phibrizzo's actions were still unknown to her.
Xellos watched the child lord leave, his expression one of slight amusement. Despite everything the Hellmaster had said, he had still come to Lazuli's aid the instant she was in trouble. The look, of course, faded when he looked down at the girl. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her; she'd seen things that no child, or person for that matter, should ever have to. And now he could only wonder how this would affect her in the long run.

Cerras blinked, confused by all that was happening. It was all so strange, the fact that the Hellmaster was so angry, and then went to save Lazuli... She gave a weak smile, glancing down at Lazuli. She was completely blanked out. "She's in complete shock... we should take her to the manor.." Cerras suggested.

Xellos nodded in agreement. "That's probably a good idea." he mumbled. Who knows what she might do when she finally snapped out of her daze. She might run away again. And that would only turn into more trouble. The little girl blinked a few times, returning to reality a little. She was still in a bit of a shock, but she could still visibly see the distant figure of Phibrizzo walking away. "Hellmaster?" she called out, hoping that he would hear her and come back. She might've regretted that decision had she figured out who'd made all the corpses. But right now all she could think about was why she'd come here. To apologize.

Cerras was about to cast a spell, when she heard Lazuli calling for the Hellmaster, she frowned, knowing that the situation may turn out badly, especially since Phibrizzo turned around, but didn't walk towards them. Something was obviously up. "What?" He questioned in a semi-annoyed tone, still upset with the girl.
