What if seems to come up alot for Naruto kids. What if there was one person who wasn't afraid to show they cared about Gaara? What if Naruto had someone to call a friend as a young child? What if Choji and Shikamaru never became friends? What if Hinata, too, liked Sasuke in stead of Naruto? What if Itachi decided to Kill the clan when Sasuke was only six instead of seven? and what if the reason was that he was treated like a slave, unknown to Sasuke? What if Ino and Sakura never became friends? What if Itachi left someone alive he cared about besides Sasuke? Would they try to go with him, or stay with Sasuke? If they stayed, would Sasuke be different?
You have seen this before if you know me. If not that is the case. Things changed in the lives of the Konoha and Suna Ninja. Naruto had a really close friend growing up, and so did Gaara. Temari grew up the second half of her life in Konoha. Choji and Shikamaru, and Sakura and Ino, Never became friends with Each other. Sasuke lost his clan to Itachi, except for one Cousin. She lived, but she went away with Itachi, for a reason unknown to Sasuke. But how has this effected the Ninja? are they the same? Not only limited to these few people, Many others have put themselves into the lives of others. They mess around and look for people to befriend. Among these are two girls. A pair of sisters who, during the time of the Chunin exams, have infultrated the walls of Konoha with their team. It is the only team in the exams, with two girls and one boy. Do they mean trouble? OR are they really, as they say, here for the exams? With Kabuto and ORochimaru and even a couple of Uchiha infultrating the walls as well, perhaps these girls do mean trouble.
Setting: Several days before the beginning of the Chunin exams.

Rules...
This is a very simple and very easy to understand roleplay, there are but five simple rules.
The first of these rules is not my own but one that I am required to remind you to follow. That is, Gaia's very own ToS rules. This means keep everything, romantic encounters, fights, and language, all at the pg-13 level. However seeing as the majority of the cast will be children, I don't believe this will be a problem.
The second of these rules is how to join. If you Wish to join this adorable cast, please send a PM to yours truly with the title of "what would happen if I was[name of Character]" please do not shorten change or alter this title in any way, save to place the name of the character you wish to be within the brackets. If you do, or fail to put this as the title, then I will skip right over your post and declare your entry form null and void. I am not the naive child I was when I first start, and I demand that my rules be met.
The third rule pertains to relationships. Some relationships are preset, but you can ask them to be changed. I wont guarantee they will but you can ask. Now I know they are only teenagers and preteens BUT! they can have relationships. Just keep in line with the first rule, and keep it PG-13. I trust you are old enough to understand what that means.
The fourth rule is Basically that you must post a good Paragraph per response, and do not, for the love of all that is holy and good in this world, use any form of chat-speak or asterisks or colons or what not for actions. and If you wish to speak to eachother out of Character use Brackets or Parenthesis. As for who I will allow, I would prefer to have Main characters or cannons first, but for a while I will allow made ups. If, however, there get to be too many made ups, I will disallow them for a while. If at all possible I would like to have, if you plan to be a made up character, that you take up a cannon as well. However, as I didn't do this myself, I will not make it mandatory.
The final rule is one you all like, and That is to have fun. This rolepay is a roleplay full of kids(with a few adults and teens), so of course it will be fun, save for your occasional emo here and there, or someone poking fun at another unfortunate soul. With that in mind I do ask you to keep the peace as best you can. Do not take your fights to the OOC with eachother, and do not create unsolvable problems, becasue I will have to solve them by kicking all persons involved or at fault, out of my joyous roleplay.
For now this concludes my rules for this roleplay, If I come across anything that needs to be addressed in the course of this roleplay I will add it here, and make sure that it is corrected for the future.

I usually act like:[When you first Meet Aichi she may seem shy. but that isn't the case. Aichi is very picky and particular about who she will listen to and be accomodating to. It takes alot to earn her respect. She also knows the value of information. She almost never voluteers information, unless you're a VERY close person, or a person in charge, such as Pein, Madara and Itachi.]
Welcome to My Life:[She is Sasuke and Itachi's cousin. She was devastated when Itachi left, and killed off her entire family except Sasuke, but one thing she was actually pissed off about, was that she was able to master the first level of Sharingan before Itachi left. Her parents had pressured her and pressured her to learn the sharingan. They would not let her go home until she mastered it. They trained her harshly to get her to do so. by the Age of six, she'd had more unnoticable scars and brushes with death than most ANBU. Most of the time she stayed over at her cousin's house, getting very close to both Sasuke and Itachi. Neither of them ever found out she was not allowed to go home. Days before Itachi betrayed the clan, Aichi had begun to discover something that was better left for seven year olds not to see. But she saw it, His training had been harsher than hers, and more than that, Itachi had been hurt because she was annoying Fugaku. After that she stopped coming around, until there was no where left to go. When that night came around, Aichi had a choice to make, and in the end she went with Itachi and joined the Akatsuki. One thing that has changed for her though, is her talkitiveness. When Aichi was younger, before she left with Itachi, she would talk constantly. She'd hardly let the other person talk. Now though, she talks less than Itachi. The reason for this was because when she was about ten and a half years old, only a year and a half ago, she got caught on a mission by an enemy. She ventured too far from Itachi and got caught. Itachi never found out. She was tortured for information on the Akatsuki and Konoha, but because she was young they figured she really didn't know anything. After that she managed to find Itachi again, before he got back. When asked about the bruises and wounds on her, she told him she trained too hard, and left it at that. but that was the day she stopped talking so much. ]

I usually act like:[Araishi is a sweet girl, with one major important flaw. She will trust anyone until they give her a reason not to. ]
Welcome to My Life:[IT was her major flaw that led her to a six year old demon vessel when she was six herself. The young girl was a visiting princess at the time, who was hiding from people trying to kill her because she posessed great power. She met a boy, who had no friends, no one to love. She took pity on him and tried to befriend him. It didn't take her too long, before she finally befriended him. However shortly before his uncle betrayed him, Araishi was found once again, and transported out of Suna to a new location. Unbeknownst to her Gaara's father used this as an opportunity. He told Gaara that Araishi chose to leave. That she saw what a monster he truely was and left.
When it was found out that Araishi would be in the chunin exams, Gaara was given the strict order to kill her. He was told that she sided with Konoha and was therefore his enemy. So the poor girl was in for a rude and harsh awakening when she finally meets up with Gaara again. ]

I usually act like:[Calm and quiet. She didn't develope much of a social life living alone, and well Kisame didn't like kids all that much, so she acted in a way he'd like her. Though deep in her heart, she wants to see him again. ]
Welcome to My Life:[Meilin was an abandoned child. She doesn't know who her parents are or who she was meant to be. She had powers and skills even from a child. When she was very young, she seemed to take a certain liking to a certain shark everyone knows and fears. However that meeting only lasted a little while. She knew Kisame for five years. When she was six years old she left, and went off travelling. She met a girl and a boy and formed a team with them.
When she turned fifteen years old, she took her team off to the chunin exams. Her team was not made aware of a meeting she had shortly before they went to the village. A snake-like man told her that her power could be useful to him. If she needed a place to go, she could come and work for him. If she decided that she and her team were ready to settle down, she could show her loyalty by assisting him in teh destruction of Konoha. She was unsure. ]

 Uchiha Itachi
The black-haired eighteen-year-old cracked his eyes open as he realized that someone was watching him. A small girl wasn't too far away, her large brown eyes focused on him. The stoic male stared back for several long moments, waiting to see what the girl was going to do. After a long series of minutes the girl cracked a small smile and trotted off back into the village. Apparently he wasn't intimidating enough, or the girl simply was wise enough not to show a predator your fear. He had a feeling it was the former though, a thought that didn't set well in his twisting mind.
Itachi let out a soft snort at the thought that he, a feared murderer, was just smiled at by a random little girl. Usually his mere name was enough to send the more weak-kneed people into hysterics. And yet a girl-child felt safe enough to smile at him, no matter that she didn't know his name. Most people would fall into a dead faint should they see most Akastuki members, their appearances really didn't often inspire confidence. Apparently though, Itachi didn't look at all dangerous. A stupid idea really.
"What amused you?" asked Kisame as he walked up to the shorter male. Itachi didn't answer, he just turned his red gaze toward the male. Once it became apparant that the Uchiha wasn't going to answer him the blue-skinned man sighed slightly and began walking away from the village. Itachi fell into step alongside him, his black cloak swishing at his ankles. "Where's the girl?" grunted Kisame after several minutes. Itachi glanced askance at the shark-man, his face expressionless.
"Who knows," he murmured after a moment. He then glanced around the area slowly, his mind shifting to wondering where indeed his little shadow had gotten too. She had been off somewhere for quite awhile now, and not that he would ever admit it to her, but he got nervous when she vanished for too long.

❝One cannot live a life of meaning without Love, Friendship and Trust.❞ ~❤~Araishi walked along the roads of Konoha, glad to finally have some breathing room. Her 'team' was actually a couple of body guards. But it had been six years since she saw her friend, and when she heard he would be here, she couldn't pass up the opprotunity to see him again. So she found herself here. She was currently wearing normal looking clothes, a flwoing pink and yellow sundress with speghetti strap sleeves, a low v neckline, and a slight ruffle in the skirt, that reached to about her knees. Her long purple hair was tied up with a pink ribbon, and her sandles, were, of course, pink. Personally she didn't care much for the color, but it pleased her guards, and kept them quiet. She didn't know why but she didn't much care either.
Araishi stopped suddely wat the feel of a warmer wind. That wind meant that Suna sand was close. Gaara was close. She ran off to teh gate to be the first to greet him. After the guards who had to check tehir passes of course. She was so excited to see him again. HE had been the best friend she ever had. Of course, she didn't knwo what lies they had told him to keep him hating her, and to try and make her start hating him.

 He was irritated. Not that, that was unusual, but it wasn't good for the young red-head to be in a particularly bad mood when he had to be around strangers in a strange village. They weren't quite in Konoha yet, but Gaara knew that he and his siblings were getting close to the gates of the Leaf Village. He also knew that his elder male sibling was giving him those sideways worried glances that he knew meant that he was considering saying something to try to get him to contain his lashes of moody temper.
The Sabaku was mostly irritated about traveling. It was a good two days from Sunagakure and he was tired of moving. At least moving with three other people. Not that Baki really bothered him too much, but Kankuro's spineless fear was enough to set his delicate nerves on edge. And Temari's false bravado and snappish behavior towards him was far more than enough to make him want to take a real bite out of her hide. He did his best to ignore them though. Instead he spent several hours of tedious movement grinding his teeth together. He couldn't actually harm his teeth by doing it, and it let him get a teensy bit of his violence out.
His siblings weren't the only things setting him off though. There was one other thing that only cause him major levels of discomfort. It wasn't that he felt pity, or sadness over it or anything, but he had been ordered to murder a girl who he had once called friend. She of course, like everyone else, had decided he was monster and left him, so it shouldn't matter in the least that she was to die. And yet . . . it did.
When the gates of Konoha finally came into view everyone gave an audible breath of relief. Gaara stood off to one side, staring up at the imposing wooden wall of the village as Baki talked quietly with the guards at the gate about their passes. He wasn't particularly interested in the village itself, but he was excited at the prospect of the Chunin Exams. A chance to fight against others and re-establish that he was indeed alive and worthy.So we march to the drums of the damned as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb.

☠❦☠❦☠ Aichi was never one to wait around. She had gone with Itachi and Kisame on this outing, mostly because she almost never left Itachi's side. She loved her cousin, sure, but more than that, she didn’t want to be left alone. She would never admit to them, but she didn’t like being alone. She sure did it enough, but she knew she’d always have Itachi to come back too. She had always had Itachi to go to, even when he parents didn’t let her come home, and now Konoha wouldn’t let her return since she chose to leave it. It didn’t matter though, because she had Itachi, and even if she didn’t admit it, she had Kisame. Kisame wasn’t as close, but she was pretty okay with him.
Right now though, as she waited for afore mentioned shark to return, she was off exploring the area. She made sure to stay where she could indeed sense where Itachi was. She was just messing around, working on some low level techniques that wouldn’t draw too much attention. After several moments she saw a girl run by. The girl looked like she just saw a cute guy or something. That caused Aichi to crack a smile. Itachi. Girls seemed to find him alluring and safe. It was something in Aichi’s book as well. Aichi knew that even if she hadn’t been an Uchiha herself, she’d of been drawn to Itachi.
A while after that she sensed the Shark’s energy join Itachi’s, and then both start to move away. She, not wanting to be left behind, climbed out of the trees she had been practicing in, and ran and caught up with them. Once she was at Itachi’s side, she slowed to a walk and reached up and brushed a few twigs and leaves out of her hair. It was a little funny to her, that she was almost taller than Itachi. She still remembered when he could pick her up, now she could look him in the eye without either one straining too much. Itachi was rather short and Aichi was rather tall and well developed for her age. ❦☠❦☠

❝One cannot live a life of meaning without Love, Friendship and Trust.❞ ~❤~She was waiting for quite some time. She sat on the ledge of a building so she could have a better look. She watched the gate carefully. Though as she did she began to think back on their time together. Gaara had been so cute back then. She giggled a little thinking about how cute, or even hot, he must be now. She wondered if he could protect her from the men who wanted her dead. Unbeknownst to everyone, it was that very man, impersonating the Kazekage, using Gaara to be her very demise. The boy she cared so much for was going to kill her, if he had his way. He had tried using her mother’s powers, which where similar to her own, but it was impossible, so it was best just to kill her.
Soon the gates opened and revealed a group of four people. She scanned them and saw some old guy, a guy in a purple kitty suit, a blonde girl and…a red-head! A red-head with dark circles on his eyes. It was Gaara! Araishi jumped down off the roof and ran over to them. “Gaara! And…other people!” she said not able to remember their names. She was so excited to see them, that it took a very long time to register the looks on their faces. She got to about a foot in front of Gaara and stopped. To her he looked angry. She wondered if something had happened on their trip to make him angry. She also wondered if he’d be as happy to see her as she was to see him. She just smiled a little, hoping for the best.

Uchiha Itachi
Shortly after he and Kisame had started walking Itachi's sharp hearing heard the rustle of leaves and the twang of a branch as the removal of a weight allowed it to spring back towards the blue sky above. Unconciously his shoulders relaxed as the soft pad of running feet echoed behind him and Aichi appeared at his shoulder. He glanced over at her, his red eyes narrowed slightly. She must have been off practicing, something she often did whenever they had spare momements. He too remembered having the energy to constantly move and train when he was twelve, along with the pain of having to push himself too far. The man shrugged away the thoughts quickly, he had already gotten his revenge for that and the prize sat in his eyes.
"You shouldn't wander far when we're going into enemy territory like this," commented the Uchicha male after walking along with his two compainans for a bit. He glanced again at the tall girl at his side. Though his face was expressionless he still managed to convey disapproval with the till of his head and his blank stare. "If you ran into trouble, we couldn't risk the mission to help you, you would be left," he stated in a cold tone. Really he doubted he would actually be able to leave her, but it would be much simplier to make her believe that he would and not traipse off whenever the mood struck her as she was occasionally prone to doing. He knew she simply liked her solitude, as did he, but he couldn't afford to hunt her down when the fruition Akatsuki's goals were finally coming sight. As long as they did their mission right, and the following missions went as well, they would have what they so craved in their hands.
"There's a lot of rouge nin in this area, looking for travellers, and prospective Chunnins to abush and steal from along this road now because of the Exams, listen to what he says," said Kisame, trying to help his black-haired partner out. He wasn't ever really sure what to make of the twelve-year-old that tagged along on their missions, but he knew better than to treat her too much like a child. He still could feel the bruise from the last time he had talked down to her, even though it had already faded. Still though, for a snot-nosed brat, she could be pretty cute when she was being good. He might even consider liking her as a person - after she grew up a bit more. It wouldn't do for people to think that the Shark of the Mist Village could even think about liking a child.

Finally. The idiot chunnin at the gate of the village passed over the individual passes of the Sunagakure nin. After Baki had given each of his "students" their passes, they finally moved towards the large open doors. Gaara gave the innocent chunnin at the gate a dark look as he passed, making the poor teen step back involuntarily. It really wasn't his fault that the red-head was so angry, but he would nicely due as a release. Gaara pulled his gaze from the male though as he realized Baki was giving him a hard stare.
Muttering under his breath, the youngest Sabaku stalks into the village of leaves. He glanced around at the tall, cherry wooden buildings with some detached curiosity. Nothing like his home village of course, because of the differing climates. It still had the ready feeling of a shinobi village though, much the same as Sunagakure. Unfortunately there was more happiness staining the air than blood and fear though, something that immediately annoyed Gaara more. He wasn't sure why it irritated him so much, but it probably had something to do with his lack of happiness through his life.
The youngest had just started after his siblings and Jounin captain when he heard a feminine voice yelling, "Gaara! And...other people!" All four sand shinobi froze, turning surprised eyes on the pretty girl rushing towards them. As recognition kicked in and their gazes turned hostile the girl faltere and stopped some feet from them, and only a foot from Gaara.
At the sight of the girl who had once befriended him only to cast him aside as a monster approached, Gaara's teal eyes narrow with hate. A scowl twists his face further as he stared at the girl who had given him hope of a friend, only to curse him further than anyone. It didn't bother him so much any more when he expected to be called monster, but it felt like peeling his skin off with glass when he thought about how she had given him affection and a friend, then brutally snatched it away. As did his uncle. It was okay though. She too would die. He would watch her dirty blood spray the air and soak deep into the soil of the earth, making him more alive.
