So we went over to my in-laws to watch my husband's sister open her presents from her wedding.
So my nephews, nieces and daughters were playing in the toy room. The nephews were getting really rowdy. When we were all getting ready to leave then my mother-in-law into the playroom and started getting upset over the way it looked. There was 2 nephews and my daughter playing in the room at that time. She flipped out and started griping them out. When I tried to find out if my daughter was involved I couldn't get an answer. Then after she got done ranting my daughter went and told her she was sorry. This is what really pissed me off, she said, "I don't want your apology, I just want you to change," in a nasty tone.
I knew that it wasn't my daughter who had created the mess and issues. Even if it was her who created it then you still don't throw an apology in the face of a child who has humble themselves to come up against your anger and say sorry.
The worst part is, is that it always happens this way. Because my daughter listens and does what she is told then my husbands parents always get angry with her but they don't come down on the real trouble makers

I hate people like that, mostly because i grew up being blamed for everything even though it wasn't my fault. I hope your daughter knows that its her grandmotherinlaw's problem and not a problem with her. I would have had a much easier childhood if someone had said that to me at some point.

Both my husband and myself explained it to her. She seems to do pretty well with it. I don't do very well with it. She's super loved on my side so that probably helps. She tries so hard to do the right thing.
My mother-in-law wants to be friends with her daughter ever since they were teenagers and let them pretty much do what they wanted and kissed their butts so she could feel like she was a friend to them. She keeps saying that she trusts them and they always tell her things. lol, I know of several instances that they lied straight to her face. go figure.
Now she tries to baby the girls kids so she can get points. One of my husband's sister threatened to keep her kids away from her mother if she didn't do things her way. So she scraped and bowed to her.
I would've told her that she needed to grow up and all she was hurting was her kids.
