Cadeyrn-
The Father of Destruction
The first wielder of the harsh Maya known as Destruction was Indira Hesperos. Indira was not a man nor human for that matter, Hesperos was one of the two who created this world. Indira created the terrain as we know it, with his strength he formed mountains, with his intelligence he push and pulled the water, with his cunning he forced the wind to blow, and with his rage he formed fire. Hesperos is considered the sinister of the first two, but he is not some rampaging beast the scholars and followers of the Stag would have you believe. Indira Hesperos ,or "Soahc" as the Stags call him, created the world for love of another. But he was not aware of his own power, and in the attempt to create a sable environment he faild....six times, until on the seventh day Indira mastered the art of Destruction.
The Mother of Restoration
The first wielder of the healing Maya known as Restoration was Marie Hesperos. She loved to create life, but every attempt to do so would fail, for mortals can not withstand the realm of Oceanus. Marie needed a realm which her creations could prosper. That's were Indira came in, with his massive power he tried desperately to make such a place. Once he succeeded Marie was free to create life, but every power has its problems and the Hesperos were young (In the ancient toung, "Hesperos" means "God" or "God like"). She rushed into things and made monsters and abominations that Indira seemed to like for their want of destruction, but his love for Maire was greater then his like for monsters and with Indira's help Marie they imprisoned her misfortunes in Oceanus. Maire then created life as we know it, by mastering Restoration.
The Daughter of Alteration
The first wielder of the protective Maya known as Alteration was Kerenza. Out of all the abominations Maire created, four showed signs of understanding and intelligence, Kerenza was one of them. In the realm of Oceanus it was kill or be killed, Maire and Indira locked themselves away from their creations so Kerenza had to find a way to protect herself. Indira had created a massive body of water that would drown any wandering abomination, desperate for her parents attention, Karanza found a way to walk over water and when that grew tiresome she found a way to breath the water like air. She created an entirely new form of Maya, by protecting herself from her harsh siblings Kerenza mastered Alteration.
The Son of Conjuration
The first wielder of the enslaving Maya known as Conjuration was Edur. The mortal realm was just beginning, and with Indira and Marie's isolation from their creations, Edur was born. As with Kerenza, Edur was in a harsh environment. He found a way to fully understand his monstrous siblings and recreate them to defend him. Only then did he render the mental capacity to fully understand his world. Edur summoned himself to the realm of mortals and with him came his minions, The fire monster known as the Dragon, the water demon known as the Serpent, the earth creature known as the Spider, and the air abomination known as the Vulture. He conquered all of the mortal realm...until Kerenza was found by Marie. Indira sent Edur back to Oceanus but could not send back his conjurations, for it was a Maya of its own. Edur found a way to the mortal realm by mastering Conjuration.
The Son of Illusion
The first wielder of the tricky Maya known as Illusion was Dulaci. Oceanus was calming down from its original peril, Indira and Marie were finding hoping to find more children who showed signs of intelligence. They came upon Dulaci, who showed no sign of powers only the sign of intellect and understanding. Marie took to liking Dulaci more then Indira for some reason, this angered Indira so as a punishment he released Edur and commanded that he kill Dulaci for his freedom, he wanted nothing more. Kerenza found out and went to warn Marie, but saw that Dulaci was nowhere in sight, she went to find Dulaci. Edur came upon Dulaci all alone and attacked....but there was something wrong; when Edur came to realize it he had struck Marie who locked him up again, meanwhile Kerenza found Marie and told her everything about Indari's plans, but she felt odd, before she realized it she had told all of Indira's plans to Indira and he locked her way with Edur so Marie would never find out. The only one left was Dulaci for all of Indira's and Marie's attention. Dilaci controlled his fellows and gained a higher standing by mastering Illusion.
The Daughter of Mysticism
The first wielder of the mysterious Maya known as Mysticism was Marlene. Indira had found Marlene and like Dulaci to Marie, he became found of her. As Dulaci was slowly splitting the Hesperos away from one another, Marlene wanted to live among the mortals and away from all the commotion. Showing no powers other then pure intelligence, Indira sent Marlene to the mortal world. Here she lived a life of quiet and peace and even love, but all her loved ones died before her and they will always for she was immortal. Marlene found a way to undo certain Maya, like illusion and restoration. As she was doing this Dulaci had caused Indira and Marie to fight and clash which caused problems for the mortal realm and was called the Great Tides. This clash caused the mortal world to flood and perish. Marlene came back to Oceanus to stop this feud, but the two Hesperos were so fulled with anger they would not listen. Kerenza offered to help her save the mortal realm if she released her, but doing so would release Edur as well. She took that chance as Kerenza and her tried to save the mortal realm. They succeed and Marlene was able to undo Dulaci's hold on the two Hesperos, Dulaci was never heard of again. Marlene undid Dulaci's spell and created a mortal life for herself by mastering Mysticism.
The Father of Combat
The first wielder of skilled combat was Caspin Krasimir. Once the Great Tides had stopped and the mortal realm could prosper, people began to increase and with them unnatural urges that some say are caused by Dulaci. Greed, lust, envy, sloth, pride, and many more. Caspin was a proud man and did not believe in the gods, so they did not help him in any way, they thought, as quoted from the book "Caspin's Crusade", "If you will be ignorant and proud to not believe in a higher power, then we shall not believe in you". Krasimir thought that the only reason all the turmoil happened was because the gods had no discipline, he used his own mortal intellect to train his body to be harder faster stronger and more resilient to outside forces. He even took to inventing a special mix of herbs to increase his body's flexibility and agility, which is later found out by someone named Lowrance Alchemy. Caspin captured the attention of the gods and proved that mortals don't always need to pray for what they want, but can work at it with determination, this lead to less Hesperos involvement in the mortal realm. Caspin was able to control his urges and become great by mastering Combat.
The Father of Alchemy
The first mixer of the combining arts of Alchemy was Lowrance Alchemy. Lowrance studied Caspin and wondered how any one mortal could defy the Gods so well. He then stumbled upon a mix of herbs that, when conumed, increased the body ten-fold. Lowrance was fascinated by the idea that a mortal could obtain power without the help of gods, but Lowrance was not as proud as Caspin or as hard headed, so he found a way to divide herbs and spices. He even organically mixed two seeds of different plant life to create a hybrid. Once the gods seldom helped the mortals, Alchemy was widely popular...if you were smart enough to understand it. Lowrance invented a new form of man made Maya by mastering Alchemy.
The age of Moronic culture
At some point in time the Gods stopped acting in the mortal realm all together, and once the ideas of Caspin Krasimir and Lowrance Alchemy died down people became idiotic. Wars broke out over territory and other greedy pleasures. Some say that Dulaci implanted the idea of Artium Stag and Galia into mortal's minds and cleansed them of the knowledge of Alchemy, Combat was kept. But some still understand the world and some want only intelligence. The Chapel of the Gifted was constructed to end the age of Moronic Culture, but it is to many against few and the Chapels teachings are revered as inhumane.
"Reading up on some history?" Lowrance stood over my shoulder and began to read the title off my book " The Empyrean, a collection of facts and thoughts about the origins of creation" "Alright you don't need to announce it to the world" I argued "What? your fascination for history? oh horse s**t Cade, you know everyone already knows; its not like you hide it well. I mean, you have stacks of rewritten papers in out room its hard not to find out" Lowrance was named after Lowrance Alchemy, which is funny considering his hate for the subject. He's also my roommate, when I first met him at the age of five he had blond hair; now its slowly turning brown. His eyes are light blue but not nearly as light as mine, and his eyes make an awkward squint when he smiles. Lowrance stepped back from my seated position in the lower half of Tord's Tower, or the library as some call it, and cracked his knuckles. "Its time for you to eat, you've been up here for hours. Come with me we'll get some chow and talk to the ladies" "Chow? why do you do that?" I asked "What?" Lowrance wondered "Say 'chow' and ladies, one time you even said you were 'fittin to give a beat down' that doesn't make any sense" I stood up and began to walk with him out into the courtyard of Tord's Tower. "Oh come on Cade, this place is so formal, you don't have to be so serious all the time. And besides, I was talking about beatin' down Victor in a sparing match" Lowrance started making jabs at the air. Victor was our personal enemy, he's been better at use in everything; except for my talent of knowing history and Lowrance's need for destroying grammar. We headed towards the dinning hall.
