The first person makes a wish
Then some one else messes it up
After the second person messes up the wish they make a wish
So, I'll start:
I wish I had lots of money...
(Now someone mess up my wish to make it go wrong then make a wish of their own).

fairly certain I corrupted it, but would be easier to tell if it didn't involve 37 double negatives
my understanding of the wish, to paraphrase was: I clearly seem to be x level of awesome. I wish I was less than x level of awesome.
The corruption changed the perceived level of awesomeness, while the actual awesomness level remained the same. Therefore the wish of "Wish I was not as awesome as x" has been fulfilled, since the value of x has changed.
