Yisi Rishunesafarina surrounds almost all of the inner landscape. It is fed prominently by the snow melts of Casa Tiner during the summer months and rainfall all other times of the year. It is a land of water and lush green forests. The trees here have deep roots and are not washed away by the floods of water that fill the rivers during the rainy season/summer season cross. It is during this time that whole woods become flooded and the Crystal lands are completely underwater in some places. The whole landscape is covered in rivers streams and lakes. Large lakes break up the landscape and rivers flow from them to divide the region into sections, from those rivers small streams branch out like the roots of a tree to break up the soil even further. When the sun shines upon the landscape it glows, the water reflecting brightly to look like a giant crystal; hence the English name of Crystal Lands.
As is the rest of the Nequus world, this place is one of thickly woven myths. Legend has it that these are the very trees of time, and that water locks secrets deep within their boughs. Old prophets and poets of the humanoid and Nequus world alike tell stories of whispering trees. They tell stories of far off lands, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, friends, lovers, if you wish to listen. Even as you walk through the crystal lands you can hear the constant chime which the water and trees fling about to tell their stories. It takes patience and a sharp ear to differentiate between the muddled speech and a pure heart to ask of a story.
Nequus will often take their children here during the summer months to play among the lakes and show them the things that live here. They tell of the balance of the world using the intricate balance of water and trees to teach their children respect. The constant whispering of these kindred spirits bring forth revelations in some and break the spirits and hearts of others with the thick tales they weave.
The trees here keep the soil from being washed away by the constant surge of water and they grow to be enormously wide and heavily leaved from the nutrients in the soil the water brings them. Their shade allows for small plants to grow in the docile waters and creatures to live in abundance throughout their landscape. In addition when a creature dies it adds to the soil from which the trees can root themselves, forever continuing the cycle.
Winters here are mild, in record years in the lands closest to Casa Tiner have been known to freeze, but never in the midlands, it stays gentle there all year round. Fall through spring is the rainy season. Rain can be light at times and at others fall in thick torrents. However, it seldom rains by day, dumping its bounty mainly in the nocturnal hours. Summers bring little rain, but the snow melts bring enough water to keep it well supplied. It is during the transition from rainy season to snow melt that Yisi is at its prime, completely filled in water like a giant lake at some points. Later in summer it slowly sinks down and some of the numerous watery streams that were fade from existence.
