I will start form the first story.
A Christian Pastor have a staff, but, treated badly, so, when that staff said she-- I mean he (you got the hint? ) wanted to leave and work outside, he let her-- *cough* him.

As you can see, my friend isn't really happy, first of all, she-he only got 2 hours of sleep, and needed to cook for almost 30 to 40 people when they come together for mass with the pastor ( and she is ALONE doing all the work), the pastor's kids is not really responsible, they will shout at my friend >hey! where's my uniform? the towel? socks? where is my Panty! (shouts the 10 year old) o.O < and when the Pastor will wake the children up (in the holidays) for the morning prayer, if... those kids will make a tiny winnie mistake... this is what he says : " Oh what the hell! Put****** nmn o! ( a curse in filipino ) Early in the morning satan's spirit is coming inside of me!" ------ excuse me? o.o. Yep yep 3nodding and! when the other christians who look up to him and say " This is our pastor, the ONLY pastor in kuwait for all christians" and they don't know what their pastor does at home. Now, my friend still have to pay for her-*ahem* his release fee... and its like 3 months since he left? he(or she) just got a job and that is with Us(my family) and my friend is still saving up! But then that.. that pastor went to the high court and filed up a CASE that telling the false story that my friend STOLE his passport?! and worst of all, they didn't tell her that they DID that to her! and they filed the case 6 MONTHS AGO. first of all, without warning!

>> that is the story summarized by me that they talked about (adults talk) <<

Im totally disappointed, because the last week, mom found out Im a christian, and she hated me because of that. She said NO ONE in her family will stray of to OTHER religion. so I have to pretend being a Catholic. and worst of all, mom have a friend, who is jealous, boastful, mean Born-again Christian. That gives another example mom have against me, added by the pastor, and now... i Feel, so disappointed. here is the conversation mom and my friend, had... including me and dad, but, dad wasn't really into the talk:

Mom: Oh? really? I thought pastors are supposed to be forgiving and good!
Friend: I know right! and then he says "haleluja x4" but then he a very bad person. and he also DON"T have work.
Mom: don't have work? how do he make his living? corrupt?
Friend: ah! yes, I think. he tells during mass "always give your 10% salary back to the lord and you will get 50% or more of it!.. haleluja x5"
Me: but... I thought if you give whole-heartedly you will indeed get more, but if you give because of the intention of getting more, then... its not good sad
Mom: (ignores my comment) ahh, see, Born again's are really bad.
Dad: not all, thats why they are called born-again. even Jane(me) know and understands about it. They are called born-again because they got a new life. START a new life, and mostly its criminals, gays, prostitutes who are being born-again.
Friend: thats right, but, bebe(me) is a good child right?
Mom: Yeah, you (looks and points me) are you a killer?
Me: No *shakes head*
Mom: then no need to be a born-again
me: ( i felt like crying... and embarrassed)
Dad: No matter what religion you are in, its really up to the person.
Friend and Mom: made mockeries about christians and my friend told what the pastor really does... the real one. and, its not a behavior of a christian.
Me: ( I just laughed with them, in an effort to hide the disappointment and embarrassment creeping up my neck)
Friend: YOU! (suddenly looks to me) you want to be born-again? If you are going to be one, thats what you are gonna get for a pastor! (mom laughs)
Mom: OK, go to born-again, and go to YOUR pastor, c'mon let Aiza(my friends finally name) take you to the so-called pastors house. GO! I DON'T HAVE A DAUGHTER THAT IS A BORN AGAIN CHRISTINA (smirks)
and... they laughed.
Me: I just sat in my bed facing them and smiled... and also laughed a bit... but I felt like crying... really! cry

So thats what happened. I really felt bad about it so I decided to share this with you. I need to let the burden flow. So, I totally looked like an idiot/stupid in front of them. I can't even defend myself. *sigh*
Just share you opinions...
I don't really care if its bad or good.

thanks guys for reading!

There are crooks and bad religious leaders in ALL denominations.

Born again Christian faith has bad people, Catholics have bad people, ect.

I feel bad for you that you have to be judged and controlled so much about your faith in your family.
When you get old enough, you will have to take a stand and live for Christ. You can still go to catholic church w/ your parents. I went to catholic church w/ my mother last year and it was actually very nice when they sang some songs and read from the scriptures. To some of them, they are just going through a routine and a ritual and to others it is very precious and alive in our hearts.

the most important is what you believe in your heart. if you eat a catholic wafer at mass, to you .. you eat it in remembrance of Jesus Christ and how He paid for our sins. to a Catholic person, they eat it and believe they are actually consuming the body of Christ. You can go to church w/ your parents, it will just have different meaning to you.

Read your bible every day and obey Gods word.

All I can say is... this is the reason why a lot of people from other religions look down on us Christians. They are in disbelief on how some 'Christians' beliefs contradict with their actions. Sad to think this is the reason why many are still lost and not brought to Christ.
Our lives represent Christ, so we must be careful in what we do and say.

And about your mom, it's common in the Filipino family to be devout Catholics. (My lola is Catholic and was mad when dad converted, as well as all of us. She told us to leave her alone with her religion when we tried to share to her. sigh.)
I know it's hard to step up to your parents, the respect is there, but you really have to stand up to your faith and what you believe in. It's not like I'm saying you go lash out at your mother for the sake of Christianity, but you could do small things like invite them to a born-again church or play Christian cds at home. That way little by little their distorted view of Christianity will gradually change for the better.
And when you're ready, tell them you're a born-again Christian with pride. That would make them see that you're proud to be one and not ashamed.

(By the way, Salamat talaga [thank you very much] for the gift! blaugh )

I'm the one to talk about religion groups, but there's good and bad in all of them. Just because a pastor has done things that weren't good doesn't mean every Christian is bad. And besides that, Catholics and Christians are basically the same thing (believe under the same God, commandments, sees Jesus as the son of God, and Mary is JUST a mother of Jesus Christ, not someone who you worship). Sounds like your mother and the friend if I'm getting it right are seeing it as something that doesn't resemble the whole religion even though they think Christians are horrible because of that one guy.
You may feel like you're stuck under one thing only because your parents are forcing you under one religion group only to not see other things yourself, but deep down you should know that you have your own right as a person to believe what YOU want, not something that always sticks to you what you're raised in. I'm not sure how old you are, but when you're out on your own you'll be able to do what you may like. If your parents don't want to listen to you or give you the right to have your own space with what you think (since we're given a brain for a reason razz ), then don't get too involved with sharing them your personal beliefs or thinking. They don't have a right to know if they're not willing to have an open mind, cause they're probably never going to see it that way.

That right there is completely wrong. Everyone has a right and a need to know about the Love that Jesus Christ has for them and a right to know that He died for them, for all of us. Gods gift isnt just to a select few but for the Entire World. Tell them, share God with them, pray for them, plant and water the seed and let God work in their lives. <3

Her spiritual personal beliefs and thinking are the Bible, Gods word and Jesus Christ. she shouldnt somehow share that w/ them?

Do you realize that you come off as saying that her parents dont have the right to have Gods word and Jesus Christ shared w/ them ? I really hope this could be an error in how you worded it on your part and that this isn't what you mean.

Sure about that, but if some people for example are NOT willing to believe in Jesus or Christianity etc, what's the sense of trying to "change" them if they're not willing to listen in the first place? Isn't it completely up to you since we have free will to do and decide what to do with our lives, yes? And it'll be our own consequences to face if they are willing to listen or not in order to not only see one side of everything without the other. What would be the sense of trying to tell a person if they see something that they basically assume and always will assume and be deluded in their minds to see it as it's only the right way of thinking to say that other people are simply wrong based with what they assume in the first place? they'll only know if they're willing to listen, otherwise they're not going to be learning or hearing anything other than what they strongly believe as well as you and I wanting to have God being in our lives.

If that made any sense.

Thats when you start to pray. Tell andshare abotu God and Jesus, pray for them. See them again and talk more about God and Jesus, pray for them. Prayer is the key thing. You simply need to water the seed, let God do the changing. That is NOT our job. We are simply the messengers. We are to GO OUT AND TELL THE WORLD! Changing it, well thats Gods part. We tell, He deals. Easy enough yes? Thats why I like to pray. Tell them the truth, then pray pray pray that God gets a hold of their heart. ^_^

i think i'm understanding you lol

are you saying that if they will not receive the truth, then basically move along to people who will?
i totally agree if that's what you mean. i think it was just your wording that confused me, but you're right.

in situations like this when it's family who shun the truth, it's nearly impossible to give up on them and we shouldn't give up. Pray for them alot!
and know that they will be watching your life extra closely and will more than likely be even more critical of you if you happen to slip up.
Just keep on serving the Lord. Get back up when you fall.
Witness to others, because there are others out there who the Lord has prepared their hearts and they are ready for the message of Christ and will gladly receive it.

In a situation like hers, she will have to prove that being born again is the right way by the way she lives. She will have to live differently, obedient to Gods word and really show that there's a difference to being religious and having a form of godliness to having the REAL THING.
in other words, our actions will speak louder than words.
